🗣 some Chineseism - love it Matthew . When I cut the race off on the flange , I do a spiral cut and slightly rotate the grinder when doing so. I find it cracks easier over the longer cut. Great video btw.
Nice video! Thanks for filming this. How did you determine when to stop pushing the hub into the bearing please? I tried just pushing mine in all the way, and then found out it was pushing against the handbrake clip.
@@MattAshmoree it's the hub and not the bearing I'm asking about. I know the bearing goes in enough to allow the clip to be fitted. It turns sound some aftermarket hubs just don't have the same length at the end and can be pushed into the bearing too far now.
@@MattAshmoreeI noticed the cup you used on the outside was black but only silver in the kit.. did the kit not come with a large enough cup? Do you know what size is required or where to locate one?
I cant put my cv axle back in my differential case. Threads look ok. Removed retaining clip ring just to make sure its not the one that caused resistance but same. I have 1.5 cm gap between diff and cup of CV axle inner end. Hammering doesnt do anything. What the hell is wrong
One of the best most detailed videos I could find on this, so thank you!👌🏽

There will be a lip that the bearing will press up against, you can't get it wrong really, as the circle won't go in.

@@peterdavidhallam Sorry completely misread, yeah most of the times we reuse the hubs so have never had that issue.
Any tips for stuck driveshaft bolts? Too close to rubber to heat up.
Superb video. I hope not to do it anytime sooner or later.
Can you do this for me if I pay? I have a rear bearing that needs replacing on my m3
