I'm so happy for both Natalie and Benjamin. That is how life should be lived, following your dreams and working hard to achieve them. And they are both so modest and kindhearted but strong at the same time. I'm sure their child will be just beautiful.
I think that the girl in the frame adds to the high drama of the interview. She bites her nails, flips her hair, and checks her cell phone, all of which seem to demonstrate a profound lack of interest in what Benjamin is saying. I salute her bravura performance!
Professional ballerinas will constantly complain that Black Swan presents a "bad" image for ballet, yet, they neglect to see that tickets to see ballet increased since Black Swan came out.
He stresses how the Americans keep reciting his last the American way. His handle is pronounced the "French" way: "MEEL-PEE-YA." And to address the subject the interviewer brought up: While little girls may be scared shitless after this one.... they're really not supposed to be watching this in general. But of course, that's never stopped children from seeing movies like this before. Still... ballet is an evil unforgiving bitch goddess. Look at all the movies about the ballet that becomes real and takes over the dancers--"The Red Shoes," "Dancers" and now this one. It's to be expected. I have to admit--this man is a true talent. He reminds me of the Late Sir Bobby Helpmann. In fact, the whole relationship that Nina has with that danseur in "Black Swan"... Look back at Helpmann and Sharer in "Red Shoes." That seems what inspired it! I hope Millepied becomes an iconic Ballet-Master like Balanchine or Jerome Robbins.
I'm sorry. Is this a video of an interview or a video of an interviewer just talking the whole time? I have to skip skip skip to hear anything from Benjamin Millepied. Is it impossible to ask questions in a way that they are to the point and terse? gees...I mean who is the focus of this video here?
"Any other French speakers out there who realize his last name is literally "thousandfoot"? haha" --.PwnageMewsic Yes, I saw his IMDb page, too. It does seem fitting. Also, Ethan Stiefel 's handle (last name pronouced: "STEE-FULL") is the German word for "boot.' Call it fate...
I've always believed in the saying "it takes two to tango." While they're both in the wrong, I agree with you on the larger blame for the person who cheats on their significant other. This is exactly why I will never date a person who was already in a relationship when I cross first base. History usually repeats itself, so hopefully this guy doesn't believe in karma.
@VenusAsABoyFilms it doesnt present a bad image for ballet or the ballet world but it does exaggerate a lot of what is happening. many of the things do happen but not in that way. despite that its great that interest for ballet has increased and more people are coming to watch. i dont think any professional ballet dancer (including myself) will neglect to see that ticket sales increased because of the movie. how do you know that "professional ballerinas" constantly complain about it? :)
Actually the interview is very informative. The interviewer may be a bit nervous, but he asked good questions. Millepied comes off a bit too serious and humorless. Perhaps the reason why he and Portman hit it off so well. She's always struck me as reserved, and somewhat cold.
.Millepied is probably thinking "where is this guy going in this conversation," cause thats wat im think'n....my attn span is gone after 5 secs of listening to this interviewer.
congratulations to Benjamin and Natalie... best wishes for both!!!! and.... for titti1506... you are absolutely right! Very nice coment indeed... that´s how life was supposed to be... they are living their dream, their life, at the fullest... and they are the best! Long live both! Success!!!! (my english sucks, but i think you get it)
Seriously, what's up with the girl in the background that can't sit still!!! It was hard to focus on the interview with all her nail biting in the background. According to what he said in the interview, I guess she must be a neurotic ballerina.
@Ibringthetruth1 I do believe she's also quoted as saying that she wants to raise her children in the Jewish religion, so depending upon what you read, you could say both things. You probably don't really "bring the truth" as your name suggests.
I read some saying this is a K. Federline-Britney type of marriage, that is crazy , I think he is handsome and he is a profesional succesfull Dancer, that´s Hot! another famous actor is the most comun way to go for actreses but this guy seems a great catch to me.
WIll Natalie be Natalie Millepied lol haha I'm sorry... but I see that causing a whole slew of problems. Btw.... the interviewer is SUPER NERVOUS !! I feel bad for him.
Interviewer forgot to ask about Portman's head superimposed on a seasoned ballerina who didn't get credit for being the actual dancer, so people think it's actually Portman doing all the dancing. I suppose Portman's reluctance to fess up to this is her way of asserting in defiance the world view of Jews as liars and swindlers.
For an immensely "physically"talented human being, a colorful interview is least prioritized on 'his/her' busy schedule. Any verbal skill, imho, usually ends up flowing from the mouths👄💨of hustlers & con artists ..or, putting it politely, from a mouth w/ a motive and full of 💩(poop)

And he decided to cheat on her😔
Fast-forward. Nope.
He had a girlfriend when he met Natalie! How you
met them is how you'll lose them... Karma
Woah he looks way better here he aged a lot
I think that the girl in the frame adds to the high drama of the interview. She bites her nails, flips her hair, and checks her cell phone, all of which seem to demonstrate a profound lack of interest in what Benjamin is saying. I salute her bravura performance!

"The first questjamin" LOL :-)
he's so handsome and his accent;)-so happy for him and natalie
"Black Swan" was brilliant.
Professional ballerinas will constantly complain that Black Swan presents a "bad" image for ballet, yet, they neglect to see that tickets to see ballet increased since Black Swan came out.

Girl on second plan : "Fingers ? Yumiii ! Gnomgnomgnomgnomgnom"
I mean when you work on ballet so closely with someone like that.... romance is bound to happen.
"Any other French speakers out there who realize his last name is literally "thousandfoot"? haha" --.PwnageMewsic

Mill - Pea - ay = Mille Pieds means “A thousand feet” in French. 😊 You’re welcome.
man is so handsome that even Natalie Portman fell inlove at first sight.
To be a dancer, and the last is Millepied. Now THATS funny!

My god, the woman in the bacground gnawing on her nails.. uff
Actually the interview is very informative. The interviewer may be a bit nervous, but he asked good questions. Millepied comes off a bit too serious and humorless. Perhaps the reason why he and Portman hit it off so well. She's always struck me as reserved, and somewhat cold.
what a blue eye
.Millepied is probably thinking "where is this guy going in this conversation," cause thats wat im think'n....my attn span is gone after 5 secs of listening to this interviewer.
he looks very absent minded to me, i wonder how he picked up portman
Well done, Natalie.
@PwnageMewsic LOL, yeah. I dance, and when I was doing research for a project I giggled a little at his name.
this interviewer
00:46 "quesjiman" he's trying to save time.
0:25 sometime his face remind me to Sebastian Stain too
Sebastian was also in Black Swan
he hardly has a french accent
does millepied mean thousand feet?
@ChaoticRain1 I think it means, literally, thousand foot.
congratulations to Benjamin and Natalie... best wishes for both!!!!

That woman in the back makes me want to clean my finger nails, cut off my hang nails, and at the least...brush my teeth
Seriously, what's up with the girl in the background that can't sit still!!! It was hard to focus on the interview with all her nail biting in the background. According to what he said in the interview, I guess she must be a neurotic ballerina.
Cheater!
WOW, not only is the interviewer awful, but that girl in the background starts going to town on her nails at 1:20! How repulsive! LMAO
I know!
Wow...his publicist really needed to be out of that shot!!!!!!
She wants taco bell
@Ibringthetruth1 I do believe she's also quoted as saying that she wants to raise her children in the Jewish religion, so depending upon what you read, you could say both things. You probably don't really "bring the truth" as your name suggests.
@AvalonMorley so appropriate for a dancer!
Woman in the back is eating her nails, she must be hungry
I read some saying this is a K. Federline-Britney type of marriage, that is crazy , I think he is handsome and he is a profesional succesfull Dancer, that´s Hot! another famous actor is the most comun way to go for actreses but this guy seems a great catch to me.
I saw a picture of Aleph - aww!
@PwnageMewsic I noticed that. Is that his real name? Truth is stranger than fiction.
lol his reaction at 6: 44
aye , when u find da 1, u find da 1. NO need 2 waste time! lol!

lol @ the chick behind biting her nails
lol theres no way in hell a little girl would be allowed to see this movie
Um Gato!
@Srozzi Haha, yeah! Best part of the interview.
I don't see any correlation to Portman. The interviewer is horrible. I would have walked out on him.
Marcel Pfister me either, nothing to do.
Wow, he doesn't even have any French accent. I hate him ;D he speaks perfectly unlike us, Frenchy ...
isnt it also literally "millipede?"
the interviewer was annoying, so just amused myself with the mysterious girl in the fund and its bloody battle against his shin and nails 1:20
My god the interviewer is horrible.
This guy is annoying! Judgemental, mocking undertoned questions.
WIll Natalie be Natalie Millepied lol haha I'm sorry... but I see that causing a whole slew of problems.
Btw.... the interviewer is SUPER NERVOUS !! I feel bad for him.
WIll Natalie be Natalie Millepied lol haha I'm sorry... but I see that causing a whole slew of problems.
just sayin..
Terrible interviewer
