- This chemistry video tutorial explains how to draw lewis structures of molecules and the lewis dot diagram of polyatomic ions. It shows you how to calculate the formal charge, how to draw the resonance form of the lewis structure and how to determine the hybridization of the central atom. Professor Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for a lengthy Introduction into the Lewis Structure, Formal Charge, Molecular Geometry, Resonance, Polar and Nonpolar Molecules in AP/General Chemistry. The massive amount of practice problems/examples increases my visualization and understanding, of different areas/topics in Modern Chemistry. The only topic that I have some issue with is how to determine the hybridization of the central atom. This is an error free video/lecture on UA-cam TV with the Organic Chemistry Tutor.
