Japanese artist Masataka Shishido has created a series of hyper realistic flesh-like accessories, from a mouth-shaped coin purse to a “human skin” iPhone cover. Inspired by horror and science fiction films, Shishido’s idea was to combine daily objects with human flesh. After making his first artwork in 2017, Shishido to date has created 30 fleshy objects.
The bespoke items do not come cheap: USB devices and the ink stamps in the shape of fingers cost around 150,000 yen ($1,166), while the disco ball he wears costs about 580,000 yen ($4,500)
