Ty Park has now become my reptile ambassador HERO. THE FACT THAT HE IS GOING TO TRY N RAISE $250,000 ANNUALLY FOR CONSERVATION EFFORTS IS SO GENEROUS AND SELFLESS, I'M ALMOST SPEECHLESS.
Man Dave....... I have been an avid herp. addicted enthusiast the majority of my life.... 45 years of collecting, breeding, importing, exporting... Buying, Selling..... Wholesale, Retail.... I’ve done it from MN to here in Los Angeles.. A few years ago I walked away due to the stress of financials mostly... This clip and most of your videos along with Kevin & Nerd remind me of why I have genuinely always loved herpetology and the animal kingdom as a whole... Keep inspiring and pointing people toward conservation and proper animal husbandry.. Wonderful well thought out facilities Ty... Awesome......
Can’t wait to see it completed. I watched a video from someone visiting Ty. I believe it was Kamp Kenan and can actually see differences already. Thank you Dav for taking us on a tour there.
Legend has it that Ty Park's great great great great great great....................grandfather built the Ark! This guy is so cool, what a great thing to give money to conservation of the species we all love. Keep up the great work.
OMG I can't wait to come see Tys IguanaLand!!! It looks absolutely amazing!! Thank for sharing Dav!! I love Ty he is amazing and a very inspirational man!!!
It is so entertaining to listen to a guy like Ty when they are so passionate about what they are doing. One day I'll take a trip to Florida and visit Iguanaland and Chandler's sanctuary.
Omg i love this guy ty hes AMAZING he REALLY is ....cant wait to see this place me and my kids will be traveling for 5 days to see this place cant wait omg
Really awesome to see what Ty is doing now! Can't wait to visit someday. I really admire his goals for conservation! How does he keep all his reptiles warm during cold snaps though? Does it just not get that cold around where he is?
Another awesome vid Dav! This place is amazing, they have almost all of my favorite species of reptiles. I definitely want to visit when they are opening to public, hopefully I can meet you in Ty's place after the pandemic is gone!
Just such a cool guy who puts you in a good mood with his happy and informative talking. Thank you for sharing this is my first time watching your vlog and now I will continue to watch your channel! Greetings from Stuttgart Arkansas. 🐢🐊🐍🐢🐠🐡🐟❤
Holy SHIT that sounds like so much fun to visit!! Already it looks so beautiful and I love how the animals who are already there all look so healthy and happy, not stressed and chillin in the sun, I can’t wait to see what it looks like fully finished!!
Absolutely fantastic seen tys place once before on UA-cam think it was kamp kenan didnt all the new enclosers on then looks amazing and what ty is doing for conservation is truly fantastic 👏 . Will be on my bucket list when i visit the USA🇺🇸 again .
Ty has got to market this better locally. I lived in North Port, basically two towns over for a year and never heard of this place! I would have been there all the damn time had I known it was there.
The pink cooler is gone. The empty rooms have some amazing stuff being done in there. Go check out Ty Park's on Facebook for updates!! Lots to get done still, but it's moving along.
I have mad respect for Ty Park, he cares about the animals in his care deeply, and has much knowledge as well. Plus he is genuinely a very nice man. Reptile Gardens in South Dakota, does not take very good care of their Animals, when I was their on 97, I noticed many of their animals were thin and unhealthy, they had some small American Alligators in a pen the largest was probably 5 ft, and one of the workers there and I were talking about them, something I know quite a bit about after living in South Georgia for a number of years and having hands on experience with both wild and captive Gators, and I realized the guy didnt really know that much, then he proceeded to piss me off by stomping on the top of a Gators head while telling another park visitor about how hard their heads are, which is true but it's still abusive for a man about 6 ft tall over 200 lbs to be stomping on the head of a 4 foot Gator weighing about half that, suffering in the summer heat of South Dakota and a dinky cement pool of water obviously not getting the moisture it needed due to the low humidity there. All the Gators were skinny and lethargic.
Good concept, all those concrete ponds are a little archaic, that’s a 1970’s concept that in general has been usurped by more realistic environments. I think Kyle Asplundh has the right idea.
What I like about this guy is he gets stuff done and if you ask him a question and he gives you a straight answer. Who else would invest $4mio and would tell you without hesitating??
I can believe it takes 4 hours to feed all the iguanas. I only have 3 Pac-Man frogs, 1 tomato frog, 1 American toad, 1 whites tree frog, 1 crested gecko and a leopard gecko and when feeding day lands on the same day for them all it takes a hour or so.
I can’t wait to visit and thank you for the tour. However, I found the question pertaining to money a bit off putting. His surname should tell you everything you need to know, if people were more culturally aware.
I'm confused. Not long ago you did a video in an abandoned zoo and talked about how terrible it was to keep animals in such small enclosures. The ones on this video seem just as small or smaller. I love both your channels Dav but I'm not sure what to think about this. I don't know anything about Ty but I support his efforts to raise money for conservation. With all that space it seems bigger and better enclosures could be built. Please let me know if I'm missing something.
It's all about balance and while Ty's place is all about education and conservation, a zoo from the 60s is anything but that. Also, for certain reptiles, a bigger enclosure is not ideal as it doesn't provide for a feeling of security. It's the opposite for birds and mammals.
@@davkaufmansreptileadventures Thanks for the reply. I'm always trying to learn. I meant no disrespect to Ty and, like I said, I fully support what he is doing for conservation. I'm not too far from him (south AL) and may visit when he opens to the public.
Ty is such a great guy! I'm so excited to see this place again in a few months. It's going to be a special place!

Amazing place! I totally would have flipped that board too lol
Right? How can you pass up a board like that?

Nice!! Insane how much money time n brainpower it takes to build stuff like this!
Anything called IguanaFest sounds like my kinda thing 🤣👌
Where abouts is this place ? 😍
13:31 can someone tell me the species of this monitor? Is it quince?
The place is big but i hope the enclosures are big enough..
