I don't know whether I dreamt it but I seem to remember a show called Primus, I've searched for any evidence but can't find any, so must've been a dream.
Sea Hunt is Amazing! I actually found it a few weeks back and after 8 or 9 episodes had to order the full series. Then when my parents found out I discovered they were fans from back when it was on tv and they informed me I'll have to bring my copies over so our weekend movie night has been established for at least the next several months.
Jacque Cousteau's Ocean Tales (2003-2004) is still my favorite; i remember watching it near religiously when i was a kid. I really like the episode with the oarfish, because it looked cool
Sea Hunt! Though, I love almost all TV shows and movies with diving involved. I did come across this short, but fascinating series on UA-cam, called 'Monty Halls' Dive Mysteries', just 4 episodes. Worth watching if you like scuba documentaries.
Don't forget the Sea Hunters, a collaboration between the Vancouver Maritime Institute and author Clive Cussler, discovering and diving wrecks around the world. Maybe more documentary than TV entertainment show, but great as a source of history, scuba tech and adventure. Not sure how many seasons it lasted, 6 or so...
in 1971-72 there was a series titled "PRIMUS" produced by Ivan Tors starring Robert Brown....very realistic and well done. i wish someone could find all the eps,it would be golden to see them all again. very detailed with the actual possible hazards/dangers and limitations to humans going underwater including "the bends",etc.
I remember Flipper, and some other show about some guy that had a black frind. He had some awesome scuba gear like some motorized towing vehicle that could shoot spears, anyone remember his name? Maybe Primus?
Johnathon Bird's Blue World! That show is awesome.
Great choice! That series is nothing short of Outstanding. I Don't think I've missed one episode.

Yeah, that was a real show. I've got a couple episodes on DVD around here someplace. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Primus_(TV_series)

The best scuba diving TV Show, for me, is The underwater world is Jaques Cousteau .
where does one get a cool shirt like that if they are not on your webstore?
I remember sea hunt, the undersea adventures of Jacques Cousteau, and sea lab 2020.
Descending wins hands down!
primus and barrier reef were best tome after tuswojc.
Not so realistic, but used to love this adventure series: Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea

1st place is a tie: Cousteau and Sea Hunt. Descending 2nd.
