I love your enthusiasm about this awesome fragrance, but I want to correct a few things you may got wrong, just in case you're interested: Ispahan is a city in Iran. The city is well know for their carpets and their roses. The ispahan rose is destilled to become a fragrance oil which is one main ingredient of the fragrance. Oud is another fragrance ingredient, which is extremely expensive due to its origin. In principle, it's coming from the agarwood tree (which is mainly located in Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Cambodia,...). The tree needs to be sick and infected with some kind of bacteria. Due to the infection, the tree generates resins. If infected parts of the tree are destilled with the resins, oud oil can be gained. Since the whole process is effortful, 1g oud oil is more expensive than 1g gold. Hence "black gold" (pure oud oil is black) is used as a nickname for oud. Regarding the smell of Oud Ispahan, the scent is floral-woody. The floral part of it comes from the rose and the woody part comes from the oud. Of course there are also some other ingredients as well to support the composition.
Dude I brought OUD ISPAHAN in Sandton and it’s the best investment I ever made in the Fragrance Market. It’s so good I even brought a travel size along with the bigger size. And I’m not even from South Africa I’m from New York. I’m hooked and probably will buy the candle.
I once walked past a Nigerian gentleman at V&A and I could smell his Louis Vuitton cologne about 10m away (I knew it was Louis because I’ve went in the store and asked for a sample because I can’t afford anything in there). I must say i was impressed by how good it smelled. Point is: these designer colognes are value for money...🤦🏾♂️money which I don’t have though

Going to surprise you and i urge you to look at some house fragrances of Dubai...Fragrance World does a oud ispahan at a small small price around R300 you will be absolutely blown away by what u get for that price...i feel the fragrance world version is waaay smoother.
