I’m really glad people liked the RTWM free-roam. We had very little time to put it together, and some things I viewed as very important didn’t end up happening, so I was pretty worried.
I played svr 2011 up until this past year, at least once a week since I moved out in 2014. Universe mode was amazing, even though it was relatively bare bones. 2k22 does some things better than svr, but only a few. Thanks for a great game
They really need to hire Justin Leeper who wrote Road to WrestleMania for SVR 2011. He and Bryan Williams would be an unbeatable one, two combination. 2K should at least kick the tires and see if he's available/interested.
Loved this game growing up so much replayability. I also love how these Season-Mode/RtWM were wacky but high profile storylines. Yeah some can be silly but it’s also awesome to go from finding out who hit you with a car to Undertaker druid arena
The thing that I loved about SVR 2011 is the time machine thing. You can go back to a certain point without having to start all over again. My only complaint is that it crashes randomly especially if you apparently create a lot of characters and heaven forbid if it is 2 on 2 or above. It is similar to other THQ games such as Smackdown 2 and Raw 2.
I never had a problem with crashing and i did money in the bank and royal rumble matches constantly. I don't know what people were doing to their systems that it crashed a lot. 😂

Starting in NXT, working your way up etc. it’s been the same since 2K15 only updated (except red & tre but best not to mention them) I’d much rather have a RTWM more come back where we can play multiple stories based around controlling real superstars.
I really want RTWM to come back one day, there's so many more people on the roster in the games these days than back and that would allow for a wider variety of types of stories they could tell: faction storylines, tag storylines, etc. MyRise is pretty close to what I'm suggesting but instead of a CAW it'd be focused around an actual WWE wrestler.
SVR will always be special. 2011 is an unforgettable game because of the directional grapples, and weapon physics. The gameplay is very addictive and the amount of content packed into this game is still satisfying to this day. I enjoy playing this much more than any of the 2k games.
im literally gonna buy a copy of this game for my PS3 and play again this was a masterpiece the free roam backstage makes players feel like they're the superstar in a way .. if 2k went in depth to make their myrise feel more like a story involving the social media aspect they already have with the phone and add in the ability to do things outside of the ring like hang out in your locker room then walk out to the ring game would be amazing!!!
They haven't been able to get the weapon physics right since 2011. We need better control of directional throw moves too. That's crazy when you think about it.
what annoys me so much is that in the past the blood dripped onto the floor & you were covered in blood if you hit the wound for a long time & now there is a small red spot and I can't understand it, it annoys me so much
I love universe mode in svr 11 soo much I have reached calender year 2039 simulating several matches Thanks to that matches were very fast I wish I got a chance to play wwe2k14 cuz i think that is the best wwe game in current era and then 2k19
Really hope they bring back awesome weapon physics and more and it would be awesome if they would add like damage to every single object when you do moves on them like chairs they get so damage to a point where you can't use them no more but instead of despawning they just stay there but you could keep slamming people on the chairs and amp the cutscenes and voice acting
I think steel steps & most weapons physics need a revamp altogether. Finisher onto the steps, placing chair under downed opponents head, running up leaning ladders, stacking tables, etc.
roaming around the backstage in road to wrestlemania added so much depth for me as a kid. i wish they bring this aspect somehow in myrise cus i think that would be a very fun way to add on to that mode too
Didn't know you worked on the game, now I have many questions, like why weren't more create a story cutscenes implemented in universe mode? why did wrestlers only ever turn heel and not face? And why was attribute customisation for in-game wrestlers locked behind a paywall lol. Anyways, loved the game, have only played a few wrestling games and this was comfortably the best. Something about the atmosphere felt very alive, especially in universe mode. Even when you interact with weapons in 2k, it feels oddly plastic
they brought back the #1 contender in wwe 2k19 for universe but u wouldnt know unless you check the news (plus you got to be in a rivarly) we always get half segments from old wwe series

The 2k series doesn't have half of what the SVR games did, but they have also have content that could never have fit on the hardware for the time period, so let's just look at what has done right, and not just wishing for exorbitant amounts of new match types, features and all of our favorite superstars. And while 2ks has had the license sice 2014, THQ and yukes had the games from 2004 to 2011, and yukes since (I believe) 1995. While 2k could be much better making wwe games, let's just appreciate what these done for the series.

Road to Wrestlemania was my favorite thing about SvR2011. I was really disappointed when they took that mode away in WWE 2K13.
