We don't tend to see as much photorealism coming out of C4D. Blender seems to have the edge there.

Hi Mildsweet. when u use Cone, Cylinder, Tube with subdivision surface, you need to close holes. I used connect to close holes. But you can check and use 'Optimize and Close Holes' is in the Voronoi properties.

Hi Pedro. It depends to you, your computer and scene detail. If everything is ok, you can create this scene for 2-3 hours. and you can set the simple animations(camera movement, wind on plants) in one hour. But I cant know the render time because of your system.

whats your computer specs? i have an i7-4790k, gtx960 and 32gb ddr3 ram. also i want to know your global illumination settings cause somehow i get 30 min of redering time for one frame lol so plz, i know im doing something wrong

My laptop has i7 6700hq, 32 gb ram and gtx 970m graphics card. I didnt use a comlex gi settings for this scene. also low settings. Polygons, texture details or material parametres make your render hard.
