- My wife's Toyota needs an oil change. Rather than do it myself, I decided to spend four times as long helping her do it herself...
See my wife's version of the video on her channel: / @mrswes
On my first date with my wife she told me she had just changed the starter in her car. Right then and there I knew she was the one for me. 41 years later she still is the one!.
A few years ago a friend of mine got home from work and his Wife was out and he could not understand why she had not gone in the car, so he decides to use it himself gets in turns the key Nothing ( the starter had been playing up) so he gets out his tools and gets under the car and there was no starter motor, he thought someone had pinched it and was wondering what to do, then his wife walks down the drive with a starter motor ! seems She got tired of waiting for him to sort it so she removed it herself and carried it on a Bus to a shop that re-builds Starter motors and carried it back He was Speechless and she insisted on re fitting it herself. also I mentioned he was lucky when he turned the key there was no nasty short , and she said she wrapped all the wires in insulation tape to stop the Electricity Getting out if he tried to start the car.
@@boostie1005 35 years ago the first date with my wife she sat there watching me and a friend change the freeze plugs in his 69 Firebird in the middle of winter. She hated it but married me anyway. lol
Did she give it up on the first date?
@@JohnSmith-jk8nv She never had to work on her car again thanks to me.
@@nogeek43 bro, I’m not asking about the car.
“Interrupting Wes Work” dude I almost shot coffee out of my nose..Bahahahahahahahaha
Yes I liked that, I’d say that should be her channel name for sure!
@@DieselCreek From my comment ^^^ above: PS: I subscribed to HER channel "Mrs. Wes Explains It All"... ua-cam.com/channels/bC0c8ozPMHZH-KPpiI-obA.html Now get back and fix your neighbor's 1947 automatic Compact-o-Matic...
My face hurts from laughing and smiling non-stop for half an hour. You two are fantastic.
"Pakistani Trucks" protective shoes - Got me crying ...
Yes! She finally has coveralls! Mrs Wes is styling now! My oldest daughter is about Mrs Wes' age and is also vertically challenged (5' 1"). She grew up helping me wrench on the family cars. When she went off to college, she ended up helping all the helpless males on campus when their cars broke down. She ended up with a pretty good reputation for diagnosing auto issues. Well done Mrs Wes, looking forward to your first engine overhaul video.
My daughter too but shes only 16
Did anyone else think Mrs. Wes was gonna yell "WHAT! I WON'T DO THAT ON CAMERA!" at him when he said "Give it a little shake." LOL!!!
"You're going to want a nice long tool lady." Yeah you are going to regret saying that.
americanrepair ....Along with “that’s a stubby, it’s not gonna work”. Hahaha. Great comment.
Beat me to it
That’s got to be the ‘Quote of the year ‘ ...
She did grab the stubby first!
She's not short, she's just the last one to know when it starts to rain.
Pakistani trucks protective boots on😂😂😂😂😂... Great coment and also a great channel...
Those guys know how to get things done!
I’ve been watching that channel for a while now. It’s interesting to see how the work changes if labor costs are near zero. The battery rebuild video and the radiator rebuild video are great.
@@motormaker they are very skilled indeed... The battery rebuild vídeo was like nothing i ve ever seen...these New cars and trucks full of eletronics and sensors and dpf would never work in places like Mountain pakistani or most of África... The emissions regulations Just killed diesel realiability for example
Ricardo Pereira Yes, very skilled. The tire repair video is very interesting as well. Those trucks take a beating And they manage to keep them running on a shoestring budget. Amazing.
I'm always surprised they don't invest in some small pieces of equipment to make life easy.. pneumatic rivet setting gun instead of two guys and hammer... Plasma cutter instead of a gas axe etc.
I have not laughed so much for a long long time. We need more of these videos, Wes 😂
My wife is a 2nd grade teacher and the banter between you and your wife and me and my wife are so similar it's frightening but always fun to do stuff as a family keep up the good work
For a first attempt at an oil change that went surprisingly well.
"You're gonna want a nice long tool lady" my wife looked at me and said she wouldn't know what do with a long tool🙄
Ouch! Thats a solid wife burn lol
Starts of A-Okay ... "Put it in gear ... obviously hold the brakes" ... and i fell out of my chair, jeeez and i stil have a whole vid to go 🤣... well i am going to enjoy watching you work Wes🛠.
LOL. I try.
Seriously, I lost it as well seeing as he was in front of the car. Too good.
Seeing the two of you work on a vehicle is awesome you’re very patient and your wife is cool about it let’s see more love to see it. Thanks
Great job Mrs. Wes. I do feel the teacher was holding back on some finer details. Like you can wear gloves. Hold the drain plug in while you undo it etc. The comment on oiling the filter gasket with clean oil while you are on camera was priceless. Yeah I always use clean oil too, when someone is watching.
Plot twist she’s been running the business this whole time.
go get em Mrs Wes. Good Job.
Dude this is full of gems. 😂👍
Wes, Although I love your videos, I have to admit this is probably the best video you have made so far. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Mrs Wes work.
Lmao I totally love this video! Haha when she said what's a fender I just couldn't resist laughter 😂
A 4 hour video in 30 minutes. Typical family teaching time. Gotta love the banter, makes me feel at home. LOL
You definitely have more patience than most. I also am 'vertically challenged'.
Thanks for sharing.
That was your best vid yet! Family time while doing some chores. The banter is real folks, being from the same region, I can relate...and I wouldn't change a thing.
She was right. The car should have been lower.
Why did you make her work on her tips toes?
The sarcasm you have of the comments people leave is great. I’ve been around a shop getting oil and grease on my hands since I was very young. I should have been dead of unknown diseases years ago. Really like watching the videos
This channel and Marty T are always good for vehicle maintenance and some humour. Two of the best.😀🇬🇧
Thanks 👍
Decades from now, Wes lies in a hospital bed, surrounded by friends and grandchildren. His wife leans down and whispers lovingly in his ear "I TOLD you that lift was to *$*(@#& high".
Next video: Wes cleans house for Mrs. Wes.
Fun watching her perform the oilservice. Surely she learned things and now appreciates your work a lot more now.
"Packistany trucks protective boots" I'm fah king dying here 😂😂😂
Appreciate the inspection walk-through. You definitely deserve more than a few sponsors.
Hmm. Maybe Toyota?
@@WatchWesWork Even just the company that makes your parts cleaners, or the oil brands. Those consumables can add up. How often do you buy a power steering column versus gallons of oil? Also, the local supply houses could sponsor you. *Eric the Car Guy* might have some ideas on reaching out. You, Eric, and SpeedKar99 are tops!
Oil on her hand...
"You probably already have cancer"
I think having the wife in your videos at the beginning and end would definitely get more subs. While it is fun to see her throughout the video, watching you work on the vehicles is a lot better when you don't have distractions in the office, err shop. lol
I'm all for no distractions, but it rarely happens.
Wes how did I miss this awesome video, this has to be one of the best videos I've ever seen. You and your wife have done an epic job. Aloha from Kansas
I’d be careful with that new tech, looks like she torqued that oil filter on pretty hard, maybe bent the engine mounts...
There was also no “click” from the torque wrench when installing the drain bolt...
Seriously, good job Mrs.Wes!!
If Wes only knew how many of us ppl say ' click 'when we work on things now .😄😄👏
You know exactly how it will go.
You hire your wife, she gets to learning the important stuff, then she becomes the boss and we end up back where you started.
Just wait until your wife changes her channels name to 'Correcting Wes's Work'. You're creating a monster!
@@grantplank9049 I made that mistake too. Then came the divorce.
Then came happiness again!
@@grantplank9049 yeah Wes and the misses are way more groovy together than me and my first wife.
They'll be solid. I'm confident in that.
This vid is great! You two really do work well together, love it! Max the dog loves it too!
Your wife is such a trooper. I still can’t get my wife to tell the difference between a socket wrench and a hammer.
4:33 WOW i LOVE the order in your tool drawer!
Adorable wife and a great idea to post this. Who knows.. She may lose her mind off screen when she gets upset. But she's a trooper in your videos!
Thanks so much!
The way your tools were arranged is absolutely fantastic, I don't believe I've ever seen any tool-box arranged so neatly. Really one of the best videos I have seen, brought memories back of the way my wife and I got along before she died.
Wes, can you get the pup to help clean up the shop? Put a sign on him: "Will work for Food"
This was golden. Going to watch it again later with the miss's to try to convince her to help me in my shop 😂
“This is terrible, why do you do this”? Shoes and handbags lady, shoes and handbags!
try jewelry, expensive watches and kiddo's college!
You and Mrs Wes crack me up. You guys are almost as funny as Mr and Mrs O from SMA.
Have you thought about just welding up the worst patches on the rockers and putting some cavity wax in them mate? You have done a lot of work on the car the last 3 years - a few hours work may buy it another couple years until the suspension is completely clapped out and the engine blows up. I treated some of the worst patches of corrosion on mine with the same view.
Typical apprentice, hands in pockets more than out.
I think Wes is carefully putting Mrs Wes off, on joining him in the workshop 😉.
Very enjoyable both, thanks for sharing.
I was very impressed with the pockets!
Wow, I can see a lot Accidents waiting to happen rings OK but a wristwatch not a good idea
Tell me when mrs Wes has her video channel, can’t wait 😊. I pissed myself laughing 😂 I loved your comments you made to the misses.

I have one, sort of
Throw the wrench = technical difficultys 😄
Based on her Hogwart's attire, she should have a spell for that...silly Muggle.
It's almost like magic isn't real or something.
@@WatchWesWork says the non believing muggle!!!
Today was great Wes’s Garage Comedy Central,
You forgot the 4th B butts! 😂 Tell her to sign on the dotted line!Fired inappropriate footwear! 😂
She did well and was hilarious when she asked " whats a fender". The Pakistani Trucks, saw their vid recently where they rebuilt a burnt out truck starter armature, amazing! I have been to Pakistan, way back in 1978, and they had mostly locally made Bedford trucks. There were also a few 1.5 - 2 tonne Chinese, I believe Dong Feng trucks, which I liked. Thanks for posting.
They take those 2 ton trucks and triple the frame and put on enough springs to carry 40 tons!
@@WatchWesWork There is one clip, where they remove chassis rivets with a home made long chisel from steel rebars. One man holds the chisel on the side of the rivet head, while another man whacks it with a heavy sledgehammer. Works! And is faster and cheaper than gas torch!
For a day one mechanic, Mrs. Wes sure has a nice tool box!
Wes,its time for an inspection. Mrs Wes, it's a car.
Nothing escapes her...
Keep up the great videos man , I learn alot from these . Great family u have !!!
Interrupting Wes Working 👍
Mrs. Wes is nothing short of AMAZING
Very fine job Mrs. Wes. Keep up da good work. 💪💪💪👊👊🔧🧰🇺🇸GBA
Thanks for the fun video Mr and Mrs Wes and Master Wes ...oh and Doggy Wes too. As always I loved the video. Cheers and hope the kid let gets well soon. Stay safe.
Great job to learn what it takes to keep up with maintenance most wives wouldn't try this.thumbs up.
and she puts up with you? LOL, thnx for the family exposure. Any women and children in the shop = a better day for me.
Good job Mrs. Wes. And yes the lift was to high as well as the oil catch pan. But you managed to get it done. Thanks for the video.
👍Good stuff, great helper right there! My wife is an APRN and NO way can I get help in the garage. Says she may hurt her “hands”….while my neck & back stay busted to hell for her and the kids. Guess it’s a trade off. Good stuff guys👍
Well..what a nice vid with the mrs. I smiled most of the time..hope kiddo feels better and he made me laugh out loud when he said bye everybody 🙂..hello from Minnesota 👋
I love it it's like doing a project with my wife she is a trouper we do the same thing of picking on each other and she is out of her comfort zone also you go Mrs Wess
Great video- your wife is hysterical!!!!
Awesome video! “ Iww Channel“ You know how to buy clothes for your wife like I do. I think it’s a great outfit! Perfect assistant you handle the banter like a seasoned husband👍 You just have to charge $500.00 / oil change. Loved it. “ Hey lady “ great job. You stayed right with it! 👍👍
You guys are too wholesome for the cesspool YT has become, if I had a dollar for every “that’s what she said” I would give it to you.
I've got the CC turned on, volume off, I'm sitting here absolutely falling out of my chair with the dialogue.
Just too funny
Good video wes of you and your family hats off to her for giving it a go she did good for her first time can see you take pride and have all your tools organised makes life a lot easier when doing repairs overall lovely family you have cherish every moment as I think you do stay safe and take care 👌👍🔧🔧🔧
She is quite a trooper, and very pretty, you're a blessed man. Most women wouldn't touch the tools.
Waiting for Wes to takeover the Kitchen..
And Wes delivery is not dinner...
😂😂😂
Mrs W is good natured, that's a compliment I don't throw around lightly, with a great smile, do you have a " no splash mat " in your oil drain pan and if so do you like it and what kind is it, great video guys
Wes, you are one lucky guy. Not only is Mrs.Wes a good sport, she is also very intelligent and drop dead gorgeous. I love the banter, and by the way, she’s getting the better of you. Her sarcasm is precious and wonderfully timed. And when they call that area part of the rust belt, they weren’t kidding. Looking at the undercarriage, it’s obvious you got the most out of that car while you could. In your area, being a crackerjack mechanic isn’t enough. You have to be a magician.
I know how ya feel "lady" I'm vertically challenged myself at 5'5"....lol! Great video, guys!!
Wes, I couldn't handle that, thank God for Mechanic's . :-)
My sedona had high idle while cold. Changed the air filter and it was gone. Great work Mrs. Wes!
Your wife just took your channel up a notch great work
If the Mrs is taking over ill be hitting the bell icon! especially in those shorts!!! :-)
Easy now...
@@WatchWesWork sorry just couldnt help myself! as long as you dont start doing videos in those shorts!
Surprised you don't have a farm cat to deal with all the cheese eaters. Great video, thanks for the content!
Nice work on that shake test. At least you didn’t stab a lift foot through the passenger side floor pan like I did too a Rav 4 when she shifted on me up in the air.
Best episode ever. You both are great. Thanks from Ontario.
Two things great about this video: 1, The gentle flirting with demonetization with the double entendres. 2. Mrs Wes’s airtoe safety shoes. I haven’t seen those on the shoe trucks that come to my work.
Ultra light weight safety shoes.
G'day and greetings from Tasmania Australia, I haven't been subscribed for very long and I really enjoy your videos Wess even though my days of mucking around cars are over due to my rheumatoid I still get enjoyment watching you doing repairs and restorations in respect to the Fock lifts ect lovely to see your wife having ago and all the banter that went with it's great to see, the oil over the hands and the cancer bit sounds like BS I know some people get exma and skin problems but I'm 63 yo and I've been doing mechanical work for years and oil everywhere and I'm alright. I'll sign off now stay safe kind regards John
Hands down the best video you’ve done thus far! “ you might need a longer tool young lady” lol
It's okay Wes I tried to teach my daughter how to change a tire. So we get the Jack out and we get it situated the old style lug nut bar she bounces up on top of it for five minutes and can't even get one lug nut loose. I was like you better have AAA service cuz you ain't never changing the tire
This is comedy gold. Well done.
Forces her to tippy-toe so he doesn't have to duck. The true gentlemen Mr. Wes is. :)
The banter made me smile
2 thumbs up
That was a great video. Everybody needs to learn how to do an oil changes . Loved it when max your wife and your son sitting in the back of the car. Thanks for sharing your family time with us.
Honestly the rest of the vehicle looks solid, I would just patch that one rust hole, it looks like some dirt or something in this might have just sat there and rusted that particular spot
You can add another “B” to what makes for successful channel......Beautiful.
Great video. Also, I think your voice is one of the main reasons for your success. It really adds to your style. It is soothing and really easy to listen to.
Thank you! 😃
Love your wife is smarter you think... I watch all your stuff but with my 5 Jear scool english Experience (it's 35 jears ago) very hard to understand alll thinks you say... But i like the way you combine thinks and start to fix it. Big mount Greetings from Germany to my shop Hiro and your whole familie....
"Coverall try on video" That got me to LOL
I'm a new subscriber and I have to say, Mrs. Wes is a super-cutie! I love the videos I've watched, so I'm pleased you ended up in my suggested list.
Welcome aboard!
I personally think that Mrs. Wes is pretty close to SMOKIN' with her own coveralls. A little dab of axle grease on her chin and her collar standing up, an exhaust leak wafting through her un-bunned hair and she could replace my vintage Farrah Fawcett poster from 1968!!!!
Thanks guys that was fun.
Awesome job Mrs. Wes! I would hire you for sure! Keep showing those dimples...beautiful smile!
She doesn't look happy. She looks adorable in the coveralls. You have a beautiful family.
Thanks for bringing us along Mrs Wes, It stinks about that rust. If you lived down south you could probably get another hundred thousand miles out of the Toyota.
That title is an invitation to innuendo. I will watch the comments with interest :-)
Don't know what you're like off camera but it appears the Lord has blessed you with a patient spirit and you can't put a value on that ,priceless . Old man told me 50 years ago about marriage , you can be right or happy but not both ,,,,,, God bless .
