This was such a good video. It is so helpful to see someone unbox everything and set it up so there is no apprehension for someone is nervous about getting one. The only comments I have (and maybe they are covered in your next video) : 1) The light arm is adjustable (possible you didn't know this at the time), 2) Explaining any timers that operate the lights, 3) the buttons for adding food and water and what to do with them, or do they automatically alert you when it is needed. Thank you!!
Ty very helpful, my granddaughter is doing a science project on plants planted in sun, no sun, and part sunny. We decided to add hydroponics as a surprise plant growth. Your video showed me how to do this. Having never done anything like this. It was a fun learning addition to her science project. Seriously, I had no idea without this demonstration ..ty.
Great video MaryJane! This looks like the perfect size and shape for a kitchen winter garden. (I really appreciate the fact you had a snowy day in the background :)
I reply to my own question---- The timer is only ON or OFF. It runs 15 hours and shuts off,so, turn it on at 8:30 AM and it will turn off at 11:30 PM, or for a brilliant night light, turn on at three PM it will shut off at six AM.
im getting the XL. 12in. height is to small. i will be growing lettuce and maybe a tomato. nice vid. im tired of buying lettuce and have it go bad before i get close to done.
thanks for this video. I am having a problem with the pump, it's not working. I have to say that the up/down arrows are very flimsy; it's hard to say if you have pressed it or not, then the time changes very quickly.
Costco is awesome i just got some spring bulbs and tubers there. I feel like I would miss the soil with the aerogardrn. Looking forward to seeing how it goes for you!
😍 That sounds magical!! What did you get!? I am hoping they stock up at our local location lol. And yeah - its very weird to not have soil. That said, the little plant pods look suspiciously like peat moss/coco coir, so I have a feeling its kind of like having a tiny bit of soil-free mix in there. But I suppose the roots will go all into the basin in the water...will be fascinating to see!
I was given the same thing. On the instructions to replant your kit you have to reset the plant food timer. I noticed in your video the plant food light was flashing. When I plugged mine in it was steady. Do you know about this? And can you give any advice?
I received this for Christmas. There were two pieces rattling around in the bowl. One is the Fill to Here grey plastic cover and the other is a blue plastic capsule thingy. I can figure out how to reattach the Fill to Here cover, but where does this blue plastic capsule thingy go? ...inside the Fill to Here tube? I've watched a couple of these videos and don't see that blue part.
It was in the very center of the store in ours - in the middle section between the books and the seasonal toys (past the clothes). Basically right in the very middle of the store 👍
I've have three of these. I don't really recommend them. They have six holes but the holes are too close together and there isn't enough space for roots to support more than two plants. The pods frequently don't germinate and even though they are guaranteed their customer service department will give you the run around until you give up if you have any problems with either the garden or the pods. I watched a few videos and built a simple hydroponic system for around $12 then spent $25 on cheap grow lights and it works better than my AG harvests work. Don't waste your money. The hassle isn't worth it.
Nice review but I've heard there's some trouble at Aerogarden and they're closing shop!? Anyone has a good alternative to suggest? I mean something with a good customer support, reliable plants, etc, not a cheap off-brand thing. I'm in it for the long run!
They are not on 24 hours you didn't program the light. They have auto on off cycles and bill hike? It's 25 watts man. For 30 days it costs $1.02 in power
@johnDingoFoxVelocity I have the exact same one and it dose. You hold the light button for 7 seconds and that sets the beginning of the day, the light then turns off after 12 hours.
What they don’t tell you, but should: DONT plant all the pods. Do two at a time. Some of these plants, like basil and mint grow very tall and bushy. They will crowd each other out within the tiny space given to them to grow in this system. Do a little research and know what you are growing.

I've had my Aerogarden for a year and finally started it. Thank you for showing me how to set it up.
My son gave me this exact kit for Christmas. I'm so glad to see this video. I will get started today. Great video, thank you!!
😅 I got mine from last Christmas 🎄 too about to start setting it up today June 10th 😊Patti from Newark Delaware ❤️
Can't wait to see the results Mary Jane, Fantastic video - the best unboxing I have seen, and I'm not even a gardener!
Thank you lol 😂 🙌 I do love unboxing garden stuff 🤷♀️

Thank you so much! lol - yes - not on purpose, but it sure is nice to have a little bit of life indoors on those winter days ❄️
Thank you! I was confused by the directions that came with my aerogarden but your video cleared everything up!
Oh I'm so glad! Ya there are quite a few little things to these gadgets. Happy gardening!

So far, so good!! 👍
Can't wait to try one of these!!! Great video!
Yes!! Now that I've been using it for a while I can confirm its absolutely awesome 🥰 Thank you 🙌
just got one about a month ago, I wish I had come across your video first! I put the the plant food in the pods thus killing several of my pods !😭
Nice vid, how do you adjust the light timer?

You forgot to program the time!
My daughter just bought me one of these. Thanks for the video
Your look so thrilled haha, I'd love to try something like this
Lol I was so happy to finally get one!! It's been totally worth the wait so far 🪴
im getting the XL. 12in. height is to small. i will be growing lettuce and maybe a tomato. nice vid. im tired of buying lettuce and have it go bad before i get close to done.
Can't wait mine to come ..
This is so cool!
Thank you!! I'm really happy with it now that I've been using it for a month or two 💖 very much recommended
thanks for this video. I am having a problem with the pump, it's not working. I have to say that the up/down arrows are very flimsy; it's hard to say if you have pressed it or not, then the time changes very quickly.
Instruction on the buttons in relation to timers would be helpful
This is so cool! excited to see the result.
Me too! 😍
I clicked like because you asked. Video was perfect
-Thanks for posting. This video was very helpful.

@@HomefortheHarvest some crinum and dahlias and elephant ears and cannas!!
You did not explain the front lights and this is importance plus the nuances of them

The light raises and lowers!

Looks great!
Thanks!
Do you leave the light on overnight?
Can you grow flowers in the Aero Garden.
What is the max height on this one? Thanks!
Where in Costco was this (like what aisle)? Will have to check if mine has it!
It was in the very center of the store in ours - in the middle section between the books and the seasonal toys (past the clothes). Basically right in the very middle of the store 👍
Do I leave the light on 24/7
Would be interested to see the results please

Really. I would love to see how you build that!
It works well for me if I’m growing salads or herbs

Click and grow is a way easier solution, I've been trying that out for a while, really nice gardens and their replacement policy is good.
Have fun those lights are on 24/7 and worse still enjoy the electrical bill hike
They are not on 24 hours you didn't program the light. They have auto on off cycles and bill hike? It's 25 watts man. For 30 days it costs $1.02 in power
@ThePbatemon no the light program doesn't program and people have reported the same problem on Amazon
@johnDingoFoxVelocity I have the exact same one and it dose. You hold the light button for 7 seconds and that sets the beginning of the day, the light then turns off after 12 hours.
cool video! 🌱😊
Thank you! Cheers!
How do you raise the light platform of Harvest Elite Aerogarden?
What they don’t tell you, but should:
DONT plant all the pods. Do two at a time. Some of these plants, like basil and mint grow very tall and bushy. They will crowd each other out within the tiny space given to them to grow in this system. Do a little research and know what you are growing.
very cool! New subscriber here :)
Thank you!! And welcome 🙌 💖
Nope found them says you can use tap water
Why do the majority if these questions go unanswered?
You missed a lot of things… I was hoping you would talk about resetting the food light and water light.
Aerogarden doesnt work as well when doing all 6 pods. Dill gets unmanageable.
Got this for a gift from the school. Just opened it and there’s no pods….wtf
I can't find my instructions but I believe they say what kind of water to use. You are not suppose to use tap water
Kinda misleading when it’s called aero garden thought it would have misted the roots not dwc
