    8:37 The impact wrench over-torqued some of those bolts. If the torque wrench clicks without turning the bolt then it is over torqued. Those bolts should be loosened and then retorqued with the torque wrench.

      @@matttafakt I can see a cal sticker on the torque wrench but maybe the factory just slaps 'em on for show. The casting process for the engine blocks is quite cringey. I guess Massey Ferguson doesn't care about QC as long as these tractors go to 3rd world countries.

      @@nchw68 It depends on the third world. In Brazil, farmers work with modern GPS-guided machines, drones for mapping and everything else. Farmers in Brazil are very rich, unlike most people. Many machines are manufactured in Brazil, but others come from the EU, the USA and Japan.

    Note to self NEVER BUY A MASSY FERGUSON. Oil and grease must not be needed for assembly 😮

      They oiled the pistons up!

      I thought that initialy, but oil was used when installing the pistons into the bores and for the rocker shafts but not so sure about piston rod bearings. Also not sure that Loctite was spread to the upper part of the blanks [pennies] bores before installation.

    This what Detroit used to be before the U.S sold all it's old antiquated machinery to India and elsewhere. Glad to see it's still being put to use even though the tech has evolved from this over the past 100 years.

    I know alot of manufacturers just ram shit together! But these guys 😳😳😳😳! Ram it in dry, tighten one main bolt full tight while other hasn’t even started! I don’t wonder why they don’t last anymore!

    OLÁ 05/11/24 Ótimo vídeo pois permite que se tenha uma noção de como é trabalhoso fabricar parte dos componentes e monta-los. Alerto para o fato de que quando em conserto ou reforma dos usados o mecânico ou a retificadora necessitam, além dos conhecimentos aqui visualmente apresentados como "curiosidade" conhecimentos muito mais profundos pois, após o uso, o motor será bem mais difícil de ficar correto. Infelizmente, no que é possível constatar em inúmeros vídeos boa parte das retificadoras não sabem o que fazem nem como deveriam fazer e, inúmeros "cursos" não se imaginam no que estão se metendo. (quanto ao presente vídeo eu diria que o encamisamento de bloco JÁ FOI SUPERADO A CEERCA DE 40 ANOS PASSADOS). Infelizmente a área comercial superou a área técnica. Abraços... Roberto Udo Krapf

      This content is viewed worldwide. What you refer to as third class is actually a boon for our country, providing employment to thousands of people and delivering quality products to our doorsteps at lower costs.On the one hand, you call your country's product bad and on the other hand, you cry about unemployment.If you make a good quality engine with it, then give me the address of your factory. I will make a similar video and show it to people, and then they can decide what is better.

    Great engines to fit even greater tractors, assembled properly. Some four cylinder ones had turbochargers, for what tractor models? Also I didn’t see any engines with crank balancer units fitted below the crankshafts. For smooth running at all revs up to 2450rpm no load, these are desirable I think.

      05/11/24 Assim como houveram algumas melhoras nos motores, prevalecem as pioras. Com números impares de moentes o equilíbrio será melhor para todas as rotações. Quanto mais cilindros melhor será o "equilíbrio" e menores serão as vibrações naturais do sistema. Roberto Udo Krapf

      @@matttafakt I have 2 Chicago impacts, both made in Japan. You may be thinking of Harbor Freight's in house brand Central Pneumatic, of which I own an older 3/4" drive impact and it's very heavy and works well. Chicago's older stuff was made in Japan and some still is. However, some of their newer stuff is made in Taiwan which is almost China.

      TATA make MF and Simpson engines for India. Millat is in Pakistan. Generally there is not too much communication and cooperation between India and Pakistan.

    W Polsce dokładnie ten sam model ciągnika produkowano !, ale "dzięki" Unii Europejskiej i Niemcom zniszczono u nas cały przemysł ciągnikowy. Niemcy mimo że Polskie Ursusy spełniały normy i miały homologacje, Niemcy blokowały możliwość rejestracji ich w swoim kraju. Sprawiedliwość wam przyniosą emigranci z Afryki !!!!!!!!

      The issue was that the old AD3 152, AD4236 and 248 cubic inch engines made by Ursus fell foul of emission regulations. I ran an Ursus 4512 for several years, fitted with an MF80 front loader that was transferred from my MF165. It was an excellent tractor in its time except for the rather crude spool valves fitted by Ursus.
