Adam, love your content, the way you teach is "understandable" to me. I will say I much prefer these types of videos where you're teaching and explaining without being distracted by showing a "student". Also, I live in Las Vegas, would love to come to San Diego and attend a school or something.
I love these vids, help me way better to understand the theory behind the golf swing. Thanks man and keep it please up. Maybe you guys will do your driver clinics one day in Europe 🙂
Super video as always. I am confused about the start of release. I've seen a video form Adam, with driver, saying the release starts from the "set position", or last parallel arms. But in this video it looks like release starts later. Is that driver Vs irons? Or did I misunderstand something?
On the subject of the elbows on the downswing what do you think about the thought of feeling like you keep your back turned away from the target, and feel like from the top both elbows lower down to the ground at the same pace / time ? One thing I get concerned about when it comes to focusing on the right elbow driving hard and fast toward the belly is the left arm staying up, the left shoulder raising up the hands staying high, and the hands moving out toward the ball to target line. To prevent the hands from going up and out, and the shoulder going up it would seem like either the left elbow should go down with the right (with the width between the elbows maintaining), or the left shoulder would need to move downward as the right elbow goes downward.
Based on quite a few of Adam's videos he's a big believer in doing the same movements and positions for all full swings with all clubs with the exception of ball position. Adam seems to believe the ball position should vary for each club in the bag, but that everything else should be consistent from one club to the next.
Most likely setup needs to sharpen up to promote a better turn and the backswing needs to remain more connected to put you in a better position to where this is much easier to accomplish on the way down!
One of my favorite videos!!
Thankful for your videos Adam!

Great video! I'm always reminding myself to keep my right elbow tucked close and this video really explains why it's so important.

Good extension gets rid of thin shots! Great video!

Tell him about keeping his right arm extended at the top of the back swing
Is it the same logic for drivers?
Yes

@@systemoptimizer3542stance width also changes.
Yes yes and yes

Basically the handle needs to get ahaed of the center of the body.
Why is this so hard to do?
You have to keep rehearsing the move. You could do the *split arm drill.*
It's been hard for me too. It feels like my arms get too short/narrow. It will take a while for our brains to accept the new way 😂
