Glad everyone got through the storm alright.... Hope you all have a great Christmas!
There is a non-zero chance that Fable will teach her wild raven friends to say "boop boop" and "hello", and it will just spread in the wild.
Was thinking the same thing! 🙂 Imagine a wild raven rolling up to someone and saying Boop Boop 😆
@@diana3653 You know what my reaction would be? "Wow!"
You’ve got me wondering how it would go if the ravens at the Tower of London were taught some words? Tourists would be 😳
Such a beautiful location and so close to nature. Love the "conversation" between Fable and her wild counterparts. "Boop boop!"
Amy, this is a lovely video with a bit of everything for us. Your environment, your family, wild birds soaring, the peregrine and the wonderful exchange between local ravens and Fable. I love your descriptions of how the wild birds are gradually working out your role. I wonder what conclusions they will come to. Clearly they are happy, gradually, to come nearer to observe and monitor your comings and goings! And finally I must say your lilac/mauve outfit really suits your healthy complexion! Looks great. Thanks for a superb video. MC and HNY for 2022!
Kudos to Amy and Julie !
I like how you observe the wild birds - not just for any danger to your birds - but to acknowledge and honor their presence.
I agree.
Such a beautiful way to bring up a baby! So different from most other children. Seeing nature and living so close to it and insync with it. Thank you for sharing your amazing life and family with us.
All the local ravens in a couple of months: "Boop, boop!!!" 😂😂
Wild crows calling.
Fable: Hello! Boop boop!
Happy to hear that your family, winged and footed alike are ok!
I laughed so hard when Fable said hello..
She's a total clown 🤦♀️
Lol Fable saying hi to the wild birds was awesome!
Denver Colorado had 100 mph winds a few days ago. All the crows stayed hidden deep in the trees. So glad you came through your storms unscathed. Alfie is growing so fast. ❤❤
Wild Raven: Caah! Caah! Caah!
Fable: Boop Boop, Hello.
Pleased you're back, have internet, electricity and a little time! Impressive wind-blown trees. The bird-flu controls, particularly, will now be extremely frustrating - I loathed keeping my hens enclosed in the past! I have none now. The stoat in his white coat was superb
Saw two crows chasing a hawk - one broke off and the other persued 'til the hawk FLEW UPSIDE DOWN and made a strike at the crow - the most amazing thing I ever saw.
So glad you, your family and critters all fared well through the storm. Here in the states there were many people killed, and whole towns destroyed by tornados this past week as well. Stay safe and have Merry Christmas. Ps: I cannot get over how much your son has grown already! Peace.
Crows and Ravens love to flip upside down in flight, albeit not for very long.
Remember seeing a buzzard, using this tactic to capture crows, used to be really adept as the upside down spin, and grab, then taking down and tearing into them. She hated crows...
So glad everyone is safe! Great to see you and your beautiful birds again!
It's wild how much Fable sounds like you!
Thanks so very much for sharing your birds, environment, and your knowledge with us. Alfie is just the cutest little man!
That must have been quite the storm! That tree line was incredible!
Merry Christmas to you all! Please stay healthy and safe ! Have a wonderful Christmas ! 😚
What a delicious bundle! What a precious boy.
What a beautiful baby!!! I'm still waiting for grandchildren. Best wishes to you and your husband.
Hope you all stay safe and have a pleasant Christmas.
Wow shocking scenes of the trees, glad you weathered the storm... How cool re the wild Ravens...boop boop lol
I'm happy that you weathered the storm well and protected your birds successfully 💖💓💕💟
I am so happy to see you, your hubby, your precious baby & your precious Fable =) (& friends)
I started crying when Fable was chatting to the wild birds. She sounds like an only child hoping to make friends. I am imagining a cloud of birds sweeping over that wild & beautiful land calling "boop boop" as they go !!
Happy holidays to you & your entire family - stay warm & safe. I hope to see you & Fable again soon.
My cat looked at me in surprise as if to say “what is that horrible bird doing in your bedroom, where is it hiding?”.
Glad you are safe and ok
I'm glad everyone is safe from the high winds . you all are a beautiful family God bless and enjoy. Happy hunting
So enjoyed seeing the countryside around where you live. We don't know much about birds and that makes your vlogs so interesting and entertaining. Happy Holidays to you and your family. Gloria
Going to start hearing the local ravens say "boop boop"
So happy you , your family and your birdies are safe thank God!
Fable... You amaze me. Amy, you do too. Thanks for sharing. 🌿💜
Lovely to see you and hear from Fable!! I'm looking forward to hearing all the wild ravens saying 'Boop, Boop"! Wishing you, your family and all the animals a very happy Christmas and New Year ❄️🎅🏼✨🦌🦅🐣
I live for Fable's boops
Wow!!...crazy weather 😳😳..please keep trying..I really enjoy your videos!!I appreciate what you do!!👍👍💪💚😎
The ravens are awesome!!👍👍😎
Thank you 👍
Huge winds heading to Ireland and Scotland this week, watch out for around Wednesday. Stay Strong and thank You for all that You do. You have such a Beautiful Family and Bird Buddies 💞🌻
Surprised the wild birds aren't scared off when Fable starts speaking.
Just fascinating to see the interactions between the wild birds & your birds
Good to see you and your little family again. That was like a horror movie, hearing Fable commenting to the wild crows. Imagine some random person walking past and hearing Fable. My head would be spinning 😂 Alfie is going to have a champion life growing up on that country. Glad you survived that storm, here in Australia we are always getting flogged by wild storms. Gggggrrrrr
It’s so different there. And it’s just so beautiful.
Fun to hear the interactions with the wild birds
Glad to hear your safe.
I'm you and the birds are all safe after that storm
It looks lovely where you are. Thank you for introducing your son to us. Take care.
All together, beautiful family !
Glad you came through the storm ok. Love your videos.
absolutely fascinating watching those wild ravens and crows trying to figure out what new spectacle moved into their neighborhood lol
Glad to hear your doing ok Amy
"rabbit warrens" I approve of your front of the house landscaping. ;-)
Lovely to see you and your family, stay warm, stay safe.
So relieved to hear that you got through the storm more or less unscathed, I was really worried about you, your family and the birds. This was a wonderful video, it felt like a quality wildlife documentary, so full of breathtaking footage and fascinating information. I really enjoyed hearing the wild ravens talking to Fable and warning her about the human! It will be such fun seeing how they come to terms with your presence and work out where you fit in.
I'm glad you guys are okay especially Fable . Fable is such an adorable bird and very smart . This weather that's going on around the world is pretty harsh . Please stay safe ❤️❤️❤️ ...
It's always great to see a new video from you! Each one has something new and delightful, or sometimes new and a bit concerning. But all of them are so uplifting. Thanks so much, and take care! (And what an adorable little fellow Alfie is. My son, Bjorn, is twenty now. Everyone says it, but it's true: the time goes so fast! I miss my little chum.)
Thanks for sharing this blessed ecosystem ...from the Pzcific coast of Mexico - I received the gift of six flamingos overheard while stretching this morning and an immense Osprey with his mate - both are rare sightings along thus stretch of busy beach '- a very Merry Chrixtmas to you all and wishing the wild ones here, there and everywhere a quick recovery from the storms. :)
We need to see more of hubby.....
May you and your family have a wonderful and safe Christmas!
Ravens: caw caw caw
Raven: Hello....Boop boop...why aren’t you using your words? 🤣😂
It was a real joy to see a new post from you. Baby is growing so fast ❤️.
That first wildcrow call sounded like the fledgling asking its mother to feed him??
So glad to see you back. Also very happy all your animals are safe after such a storm. ❤️
Just found your channel and what I saw here convinced me that you must have more that I would enjoy as much or more than this video. Growing up on a farm in Northern Ontario in Canada, I had a lot of exposure to wild life. One haying season, we unfortunately mowed over a Kestrel nest, killing one but two others survived one, a female had a small break in her skin but suffered no permanent damage, the other was a male and as the parents did not return to the nest, these two were hand reared. The female was raised by my cousin and he did train her to hunt. We raised the male and he learned to hunt on his own. One of his first efforts was a Rhode Island Red hen, hatched a few years earlier as a science experiment at a local school. She was the biggest hen we had and although there were plenty of smaller birds to choose from including Bantams and several varieties of pigeons, it was Big Red that he chose to target for his first (that I witnessed) hunt. He sat on the chicken coop roof for well over an hour screwing up his courage and observing her scratching out tidbits and dust bathing. When he finally made his attack, he swooped in from behind her, hooking into he back but... she must have weight 4 or 5 times as much as he did and there was no way he was going to lift off with her. Instead, she, freaked out at this sudden attack, began squawking, running in crazy circles and pounding him with her wings. He was unfortunately hooked in and could not get free of her. He had one wild ride around the barnyard before he or she managed to break free, with him landing in the dust and her, no worse for this attack, running for the safety of the hen house. He was rather dazed, but got himself up, shook out the dust and fluffed up his feathers before launching into the air to circle the barnyard only to set back down on the hen house again... and began watching Big Red... again, carefully planning his next attack. I never did see him try to take out any of our chickens again, but he did find endless fascination in just setting on the hen house roof watching them. He knew how to ask for food and he was fed any time he came in for food. The periods between these feedings grew longer and longer until late in the following spring, he stopped showing up, having returned to wild where he belonged. We also raised a crow and I have too many memories of the two plus years he lived with or around us to go into here. Maybe next time.
0:58 I almost expected a ... BOOP! BOOP!
I shed a tear when I saw Fable chatting with the wild birds (can they see each other?). It was so lovely seeing her make friends! I do think they will eventually stop seeing you as a threat. You know they identify facially and how smart they are. They may never opt to be your friend, but they'll be fine with you eventually. 🤗
The stoat was adorable, I've never seen one out and about quite like that! Does he/they help with any rodent problems about the farm?
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought hawks feared corvids as they flew higher and often attacked hawks? It's very exciting to see them (the wild birds) showing interest and curiosity at your teamwork!
Have a WONDERFUL Christmas and Fresh New Year! Hugs for Alfie!
💝
Hope you didn't suffer any damages. It's still windy here after a path of destruction in the US. Amazing video, despite all that! Beautiful family, beautiful countryside, beautiful flock - you're so blessed :-)
precious baby and Wow, what a harrowing night that must have been. Really glad you All are safe. Christmas Cheers !
I’m glad that you’re all safe and as always thank you for your informative videos. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year . 🎆🎊🎈
so nice to see the family , what a cute little Guy ! Merry Christmas !
Spectacular. Love the aesthetic and ambience. Though there is something about Fable's relation to the wild Ravens that makes me somewhat sad, yet I understand the pragmatism of it all. Having followed Fable in the past, I, and imagine many others are very fond of her. Now, the context, the landscape, the discourse is, I think, wonderful to experience. By the way, I'm of Scottish background living in Australia and it is heading into Summer now, and getting hot. Just thought I'd let you know the world is watching. Cheers!
Wonderful vid, thank you for sharing beautiful Scotland and the interesting interactions with the wild birds! Fascinating how the wild crows and ravens are trying to figure out what's going on and tooo adorable Fable talking to them. Glad everyone made it safely through what looks like a crazy storm. Stay safe and warm!
So good to see you and your family. Glad you all survived the storm. Have a wonderful holiday.
The breeding pair of ravens at the zoo I used to work at would call in the wild ones, and feed them through the fence. To the point that we had to double and occasionally triple their feed to ensure they didn't give it all away before eating enough themselves. They even fed an owl on occasion. I suspect that If they see you carrying in food, they'll suss out 'how you fit in' right quick, and be right on figuring out how to get in on the free grub lickety-split!
Thank you so much. It's good of you to record the wild birds, & their responses to your birds. That was a good change of pace, I really enjoyed it. Merry Christmas‼️
Absolutely beautiful baby!
Boop Boop ! Quite a bit of damage around there ! We had fearsome tornados near here last week. Looks like we will all be dealing with weather extremes for the foreseeable future. So glad you are all safe & only inconvenienced by the fury.
Pleased to see the wild birds interacting we each other & our girl Fable. Merry Christmas to Alfie & your family, of course including your birds & dogs. Have a Happy New Year. Special wishes to Fable, Boop Boop !
Lor, what damage to the trees. So glad you, your little family and all the birds are fine. I bet it was gorgeous watching the storm from the safety of your house🤔😮😲😜. Stay safe and a very merry Christmas to you all.😘😘😘⛄🎄🎆
Central Wisconsin just had two tornados, we have several trees down and there was a fair amount of damage to certain dwellings. Not typical for December. Love the channel keep up the good work!
Yeah, we lost a big maple tree; it fell right across the road. Not to a tornado, just amazingly powerful winds that blew all night long.
How funny would it be if Fable was going "Hi fable!" to introduce herself to the other ravens?
Amy, you have an amazing life, thanks for sharing a bit of it with us. :)
Alright, Fable saying Hello to the crows was funny. Merry Christmas to you and yours
After discovering your channel, I have a new love for ravens. I have a large unkindness that flies over twice a day. I’ve been putting out cat food to attract them. They are starting to respond but very scared of me. If they see me, they won’t land.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
Thanks for sharing -
These interactions were very interesting.
'Glad you and yours are OK past your storm. We, in the USofA have seen some horrific weather as well of late, though i am, myself, on the West Coast, and unaffected by it.
Merry Christmas to you, and a wonderful New Year.
Peace
Boop boop
Your little one is precious!
Hi ya Amy. Looking good in your purple attire. Interesting vid as usual. Glad you all came through the storm OK, apart from the prob with internet. Have a great Christmas all of you. X
I absolutely love your videos. I'm very close with the Ravens where I live. Merry Christmas to you & your beautiful Family. 🥰
Lovely post. Very enjoyable and interesting.🥰 I am glad you survived the storm.
Merry Christmas to you and yours
So glad that you make it through that storm with no major problems Amy. I really enjoyed this video. That little one is growing so fast. Looking forward to what you have in store for us next year! Happy Holidays to you and your family! Be well and stay safe! 👍🎄🎄🎄🎄👍💖💖
Thank goodness you are all ok. Have a very happy Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year from all of us here in the north of Ireland
Happy Christmas to you, your family, and the birds! Love from Chicago USA
Beautiful video! Music and videography.
I'm on a mountain in Alaska. Much more deep snow this year. Gyrfalcon came to the suet feeder! Snowshoe hare and ermine, as you have also. Merry Christmas, Amy 🎄🙂
A friend posted a video of a “crow” making an odd call. Many of us told him that it was a raven not a crow (beak, fluffy feathers around beak, and size). They insisted the bird was not making a normal sound. I sent a video (from California) of how to tell the difference between a raven and a crow. He still insisted the call was not normal (I’d spent the last year feeding a couple of ravens cat treats on my walks so I’ve learned to tell the cronky call of them). I sent him your video with Fable where you talk about Fable and ravens ability to vocalize. He’s not convinced. The crows where I live HATE the Ravens and the Cooper’s hawks that are around now (not sure if the hawks are around more in the pandemic or I’ve not noticed as I wasn’t walking twice a day). The crows scream up a storm and dive bomb the ravens and hawks who ignore them. It was interesting to see your wild crows and wild ravens just letting each other be.
Sounds like your friend doesn’t like being told he’s wrong… 😬
Wow what a storm I'm glad you all got thru it safely. I see lots of firewood, clear that out could be lucrative . That is so awesome with the wild Hawks & Ravens talking to Fabel, they get used to you & will always watch over you. What a beautiful place! The Ravens here are literally the size of small turkeys lol love them so smart & survive in minus 30 below & deep snow. Happy Holidays & all the best in the New year!
What q lovely video such beautiful wildlife, so pleasedyour all okay after storm, have a lovely first Christmas in your new home and baby Luv from UK 🇬🇧
So good to see you again. Wolfie is adorable, what a beautiful family you are! And what can we say about Fable and the Wild Crows.... it's like they speak different languages! 😂 Love the channel, wishing the best of new years to you and yours.
MERRY CHRISTMAS to you & all your flying friend!!
Thankfully all is well after the storms and you have your internet back up and running. Give little Alfie an extra cuddle for me and have a very merry Christmas and Happy New Year God bless and stay safe. So interesting to see the wild birds and how they interact with yours. Much love from Virginia, USA.
Welcome back Amy, so glad you, your family and birds are fine. Wishing all of you merry christmas and a good healthy and happy new year. As Fable would say *boop boop*!
Great to see you back here; and thank you for sharing these wonderful scenes 🤗🙏
