PreAlgebra 1.7 'Multiplying and Dividing Terms'

In this video I begin by showing a quick review of exponential notation with numbers only.
We then discuss exponential notation using variables and show how to multiply terms with like bases by adding exponents giving us a property of exponents. Likewise we apply the same procedure to show how to divide like terms by subtracting exponents. Many examples of applying these two properties of exponents are shown. We also discuss what raising a nonzero variable to the power of zero produces numerically.
I do not discuss negative or fractional exponents in this video.
