Yet, not a single grenade was thrown
Wouldn't do much considering the surrounding zombies would just eat the shrapnel. One grenade might take out like 4 or 5 max, if that.
Vladimir's Russia bazooka, grenades and grenade launcher would've be better
the sharpnel would have to head them in the head.
+Niall Hagan stop commenting the same fucking thing
obviously no director for this episode has ever seen military equipment a LMG regardless of head shot or not is going to rip them apart...but if the military was competent there would be no zombie shows or movies T-T
i love how he's just casually walking bye with a horde of 1000+ zombies
Even better, it's 2 thousand.
I mean, those walkers are really slow, all you need to do is powerwalk for a bit and you'll create a comfortable distance for yourself.
In the show, he's the one who led them
Project Zomboid be like
I can see how that many zombies could push down a chain link fence and kill everyone. What I think is silly is how that huge crowd was stumbling and groaning towards the base, and the sentries didn't hear them until the first ones walked right in front of them.
I know right. The position of that scissor lift was dreadful.
Jacob Bielski maybe in the walking dead the noise walkers make isn't actually that loud🤔 like perhaps it's that loud for the show but anything else maybe not.
That's an interesting idea. It still seems like that many footsteps would be audible though.
You know why? Because the plot called for it. realistically, given the situation, the Military would have had scouts along roof-tops with different vantage points. See the problem is, as I mentioned to other people, if in the script you allow the Military to adapt, it makes it that much more challenging to argue that they were taken down. If you make them act in-component and severely ineffective (firing from the hip, not using heavy weapons, no firing line, no weapon discipline) you can show why they were over-run so easily.
otherwise the show doesn't exist.
1 tank at full fucking speed would mow them down like GRASS.
no
It would get slower until it cant move anymorr
Right, so while they are designed to go through mud even if submerged above the treads, they can't go through bodies on concrete? LOL whatever.
Tekarukuto ninja You said "a tank" and we're discussing a zombie outbreak in modern times, in the US no less, which means the Abrams main battle tank.
You can't be relevant and you can't be logical either. GG
jeamus Daryl didn't blow up an m1 Abrams, it was a m48 Patton I believe, if not ,it definitely wasn't an Abrams it's a Cold War American tank
+Tekarukuto ninja A bloody Great War tank could plow through those zombies. They're decomposing bodies, they have no substance whatsoever. Take a German Tiger from the 1940's for instance: It weighs almost 60 tonnes and moves at 40 km/h, something that heavy moving at that speed hitting all that flesh would send those walkers flying like ragdolls, and the Tiger would probably only bump its speed down by a km/h.
Now take an Abrams tank, something that the Americans WOULD have in this situation. It weighs 10 tonnes more and travels even faster at 72 km/h (!!!). Try telling me that a tank in the 21st Century wouldn't turn those walkers into mashed potatoes when a tank from over 70 years ago could.
Them soldiers must have been trained by Stormtroopers....
I know right stormtroopers have terrible aim
ua-cam.com/video/wFQ9uO4GxkQ/v-deo.html
Yup
William Gray great burn
Budgie Guide SHUT THE FUCK UP. THEY WERE ORDERED TO MISS.
"Ramirez! Aim Down your sights!"
Hyperdead_Goat lol XD
Suxh an underrated commebt xD
"Ramirez! Take out that horde with your spoon!"
"Ramirez! Take that choppa with a knife!"
Ramirez clear that horde with your knife!
*before the zombie apocalypse*
President: "General I got some bad news"
General: "Such as?"
President: "I'll have to make some budget cuts in the army"
General: "No...."
President: "All soilders will stripped of any explosive devices starting with the frag grenades"
General: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Mister Linch that’s the second best comment 😂😂
Soldiers* lol every walking dead video I'm watching theres a comment that spells soldier wrong 😂
Thanks Obama... (the series takes place in 2010, so...)
Me: shit man why we buying these scew pid sunglases and ciggarettes we need those grenades man
Grenades are less meant to kill and more so meant to maime. Injured soldiers use up manpower and resources to care for. A zombie isn't going to care about shrapnel. Less so about compression waves. Maybe you'd be lucky that it cuts a tendon or two.
i guess nobody has grenades or explosvies in general in that army.
No Regrets this is just a fantasy thing
JokeHunter grenades arnt like in the movies. they'd rip zombies to pieces not to mention the m60 on the top would also do the same thing...
Daniel Lincoln-Smith do u guys want to know what the most biggest bullshit is in this series. everything is bs the zombies would not last one night
Blanka they'd last a couple of weeks before nature runs its course and they'd be a pile of gunk on the floor, the only thing that made this slightly believable is that it doesn't matter how you die you still turn. Society can't be rebuilt if that happens
Niall Hagan yes I'm not complaining about the way it's spread I actually like it but I'm trying to say the military would never lose a battle against zombies
Rick could of taken all those walkers on no problem, and still be back in time for dinner in Alexandria
Ikr but our military can't , this show is unbelievable. 😂
Fuck yourself
@@RobinSwede stop being a dick what the hell he even said
Cause rick is a fucking superman
@@elijahd.1340 funny right 😂
A few ragtag survivors can do what a well trained organized force can't
This, is why The walking dead logic
is horrible
That m60 would have shredded the walkers.
Boneskel Productions not really, remember they were packed pretty thickly and anything short of a headshot will barely even phase them.
Christian Bauer ok you got me there.
Christian Bauer it would have been better if they had some 50 cals mounted on humvees. The zombies would be shredded headshot or not plus you would be armored and mobile.
a zombie or a human body hit anywhere with an m60 would make them fucking flip. that gun can pierce concrete. smh
no, im sure it takes .308's. M240's are the ones that take 5.56x45 i think..
the entire group of military fall to a horde in a matter of minutes yet rick and coral can kill one off
Rick had his super magic .357 magnum...
Samuel Ryan Nelson I love how everyone just goes with coral lol
you mean Carl?
With nothing but his axe...
Wet Lettuce it’s a 44.magum
Zombie had plot armour on obviously...
WTF, firing that many rounds should have dropped more zombies, their firing from an angle where heads are easily shot at.
+Niall Hagan that is literally no excuse for firing 500 rounds and killing 20 zombies at most. Rick, Shane and their co-workers managed to hit those escaped criminals with point blank accuracy at a distance of at least 10 feet on Days Gone Bye, and they were some random sherrifs who took care of a city nobody knew. We're talking about the freaking military.
Niall Hagan they knew enough to shoot them in the heads
So heavily armed soldiers with presumably 1-2 months of training according to official sources can't defeat a horde of about 2,000 zombies(this is the official number for this horde) but Rick and his friends with no guns whatsoever(the only one who had a gun in that episode was Abraham, everyone else was armed with machetes) can defeat a much larger horde? lel
This base wasn't under-staffed, nor under-armed. We can see dozens of soldiers around, some with humvees and even helicopters. There is no excuse for incompetence of this magnitude except terribad writing.
First of all, we can because unless those soldiers were trained to have at the very least an ACCEPTABLE aim, the goverment wouldn't be retarded enough to dump them in a overrun city.
Second, as i said above, stop repeating that, because that's not even CLOSE to being an excuse for how awfully incompetent those soldiers were. We clearly see dozens of soldiers running around, with some of them being inside humvees and helicopters. So even if they lost half of their numbers and half their ammo, they still had more than enough to wipe out that horde with relative ease. Do you know how many bullets and projectiles are produced to the military per day? Even if they only produced 1% as much as they actually do, they would still have enough to fight an entire war with leftovers
Third, the soldiers here had FAR, FAAR more weapons and ammo than the people on Alexandria. Rick had to scavenge his weapons, the soldiers had the guns handed to them every day due to ammo production.
Fourth, when Rick's Group kills that horde, they're barely 2 years into the outbreak. Fifth, 99% of the members of his group were armed with MACHETES when they killed that horde with 3,000-4,000 walkers, with the only exception being Abraham and his only role in the entire fight is gunning down a few zombies to save Glenn once, after that he barely participates. As i said above, the soldiers here had so much more ammo and weapons that it's not even fun to compare them
Fifth, the soldiers FAR outnumbered Rick's Group. According to the Comic Series, about 60 people lived in Alexandria when Rick found it. However, only around 20 of those inhabitants are actually active FIGHTERS(Season 7's finale implies it is even less than that, since the combined fighters of Alexandria, Hilltop AND The Kingdom are numbered at only 50 people.), the other residents are pacific. So only a dozen or so people fought against that horde. We know for a fact there were far more than a dozen soldiers protecting that base on Fear The Walking Dead, even with half of their numbers leaving in the previous episode.
So, no matter how you cut it, there is no excuse for the stormtrooper-like aim and the incredible lack of competence seen on Fear The Walking Dead, other than bad, really bad writing.
That literally doesn't debunk anything of my text. First you tell me that the government needs all help they can get, then you contradict yourself by saying they consider all of those soldiers expendable, lel. The base was targeted for demolition, but the soldiers would probably be reallocated to Edwards Air Force Base just like the others. It doesn't imply they're expendable at all.
I'll repeat what i said, since you ignored it completely. "A ton" of soldiers fleeing with "A ton" of weapons, doesn't MATTER, because they still had more than enough numbers and ammo to defeat that herd. I'll repeat; even if the military produced only 1% as much ammo as they actually did, they would still have enough to fight entire wars with some leftover.
No, it didn't take 5 years to get to the Alexandria segment. That's in the Comic Series, in the TV Series it only took 2 years, since Carl is 12 on Season 1 and on Season 5 he's just turned 14. FTWD is a spin-off to the TV Series, so we're using TV info here.
It being the early part of the outbreak is effectively pointless, since the World Health Organization already knew pretty much everything about the zombies as soon as the outbreak began. By the time the soldiers encounter that herd, they know everything they need to. Actually, they would be the first people to know other than the president and the governors.
Nope, you're pointing out information i've already debunked in my comment above and ignoring my explanations even though they're valid.
Zombies are dead flesh. Clumped together tightly like that, that LMG should have mowed them down. Its shit like this that just takes me out of the show. When I see two dudes firing automatic rifles into a crowd and see no zombies dropping, it just gets rid of the suspension of disbelief.
YoHannes true. An M60 should be tearing them apart.
YoHannes the zombies should have been decomposing.
YoHannes yes the m60 should have shredded the to bits but even then it takes brain damage to kill a walker I the Walking Dead series. I've seen zombies rotting an in pieces but still had a perfect brain so they stayed alive.
Niall Hagan so you are telling me they didnt have SINGLE grenade left and whay didnt they form a firng line.If Carl and Rick can do it so can these guys
Because the guys behind this episode are lazy and can't write for shit.
Carl is a kid and he managed to do more then all of these military dudes combined, I mean cmon
Yup, they just had 2 rifleman posted cause logic
Which is why you see a few dozen in the background right?
*+That ShadyAlchemist* they had four
You do realize they were up there to spot shit right? They're pulling guard. I've done it. That's literally what we do in the military.
I know this is a year old, but one of them had an LMG, so he wasn't a riflemen.
That ShadyAlchemist technically, one is a rifleman, the other is a machine gunner
I love the part when he says "you should save your ammunition"
I love how this guy is just nonchalantly walking past the massive horde with a flashlight and stopping to chat with the military
I really wished we got to see more of this, the military trying to contain the outbreak.
Probably budgeting.
It would look silly
Judging by this scene, I don’t think I’d like to see any more
Even if this was a temporary base the military would have sandboxes up and around instead a flimsy fence.
Tankhell Is great yeah...
it is not in this seen but don't you just love how their rifle rounds are being deflected by the chain link fence... are you kidding me writers? were you born under a rock? learn a little bit about firearms and how skilled the army really is before you make a TV show with it
I love how 2 survivors (Carl and Rick) can wipe out a whole horde, but trained soldiers can't? Like, what the hell?
+S.S Gaming (SSguner) They use the exact same Rifle and have less ammo ffs.
***** Rick and carl + M4A1 + 500 walkers = 0 walkers
100+ soldiers + M4A1 + 1000 walkers = 1100 walkers
I call BS right there.
And the soldiers knew how it spread, that you need to amputate it, and that you have to aim for the head.
They knew how to kill them.
If this was real life, the army would've taken out these zombies in ten minutes. Actually, if this was real life, maybe 500 people tops would've turned into zombies.
The virus wouldn't be everywhere at once in real life, and the government would be competent and quarantine the source of the outbreak as soon as possible, which means that maybe a few thousand people would've turned at most. If smallpox can be erradicated, the zombie virus can, too.
Also, taking the quarantine into account, the zombies would decay completely in a matter of weeks, maybe a month and a half if we're generous, not only because maggots would view them as delicious and easy preys, but also because of the heat of the Sun, which would speed up the process A LOT
Wait, he intentionally brought the zombies to the military?
Yes, as a distraction.
+Smooth Void such a distraction he killed everyone! Including the people that were ill in the hospital!
S.S Gaming did it to save his family and friends.
+Slayer Seb That's the thing about people like the old man. They don't care about anyone else besides friends and family.
EmptyMan000 yep... in his mind 6 people is more important then 600
Pfft. Alexandria could've handled a horde like that no problem. Lol :P
Snowman20 with nothing but melee weapons too
If only this was based of reality and a tiny little girl would not be able to hack away at 50+ things for an hour and not get tired... Or have a military completely made up of retarded shovels who cant fucking aim for their lives, or a leadership that would have let something like this get out of control to such a level and not just fucking nuke a city to save a country.
Darth Imperious Walkers aren't a threat otherwise.
One of the most hilarious scenes of the best comedy on AMC
0:51 at this point they are shooting the air 😂
Why do I feel like that guy just led them to the base and screwed the military over
Matt Wells
Because he did.
Matt Wells he stupid 😂
@@derickornedo7764 No he's not lol. He was planning to lead them to the military base.
Was that a bloody m60?
Are you kidding me?
How poor was this series that they couldn't even get the right weapons, let alone proper equipment for the soldiers.
What are you talking about M60's are still in use today.
+Asher Fenstermaker No actually they are not, the m60 had problems even in its latest years, it was completely fased out by early 2000s for the better 240 & 249
Rade Ue Masq wtf, chill out lmao
There's guard units still who have them in inventory. Not every unit has the latest tech, even firearm wise.
+ChernoSnipers True.
What if... the walkers were vegetarians?
Jorge Torres What if... the humans never ate?
Jorge Torres Then unless we stopped them, we would slowly lose all of the environment which means we would soon lose oxygen
no sufficient oxygen
Earth has about 6 trillion tons of oxygen in the atmosphere
Then they would want graaaains.
Call in the marines
Conrad Debassige if they called in the marines the marines would be the zombies...theyd be wanting brains as much as the zombies 😂
I was just thinking that.
Conrad Debassige yeah the marines would tear those flesh whores apart OOHRAH
Billy's Lego Models If they called the marines, the zombies would be out of luck on finding brains at all.
jason derek you'd be surprised how smart marines can be when in shitty situations lol
Quick question, what happened to the airforce? A couple of cluster bombs or an apache could've taken care of this in just a few minutes.
Coëlian plot
The entire Air Force died due to lack of plot armor
The airforce needs constant stable supply lines which were quickly disturbed in this chaos. Probably simply ran out of fuel before it ran out of skilled men.
*engage armchair general mode*
A perimeter of heavy machine guns with overarching lines of fire would be more than a perfect defense against slow moving targets, even if there was a horde of them surrounding you. Do you even realize what rapid fire from large caliber rounds would do to flesh? No need for headshots those zombies would be ripped apart.
In my personal opinion setting up in that position was moronic in the first place; It was a while since I watched that episode but if I remember correctly the facility was a hospital of sorts that held prisoners, sick who may die and turn and various military units; But its position was far to big and its been shown time and time again that walkers in large hoards can easily take out chain-fences, They should have chosen likely a industrial or similar location with sterner walls and a more securable perimeter.
They should have then made a makeshift wall outside but with each side having a opening that is small; This will mean that walkers rather then attempting to take down the wall will rather attempt to get through the smaller opening and be mowed down easily.
The military was operating on smaller resources here so its pretty moronic that there first idea to set up a base that is largely open, Hard to defend and would require more resources to set up.
Infact the military did the same mistake in the show at Safe Zone India (a neighbor hood taken over by the military for a civilian population) rather then securing a more strategically viable area they rather focused there efforts on neighbor hood; Sure its more comfortable and specifically designed for that but they used chain fences everywhere when they should have evac'd citizens to a more secure position; Like a zoo which in most cases already has strong metal and sometimes concrete walls and could be easily turned into a civilian area; I'd imagine the military could go and get small vans or trailers and set them up for residence in the area; Along with the fact that you would have on the sight prison areas and medical positions and with most zoos usually being centered out into linear walkways they could make multiple fallback zones for a situation like this.
Thats why i disliked TWD and this Show. The main characters kill walkers by the hundrets and often only using a baseballbat or other meele weapons.Yet the U.S. Army ,that has tanks, jets and heavy weapons cant do shit about the zombies.
Thats why i like the "zombies" in the 28 days/weeks films.they are fast as fuck and infect you in an instant
The military needs to always be a seriously dumb-ed down version because in situations like the video, one decently placed machine gun turret would have mowed them down. Not to mention a firing line for support. It just doesn't make any sense.
I don't care how many there are in this scene. They are moving so slow and the military base should easily be able to get into position and fortify/kill off the group.
And what kind of insanely ignorant military group (even newbies) would think that having ONE lookout tower with limited sight-range to the point that all they can see is what is right in front of them would be a good idea. And NO one heard the Zombies till they were literally feet from the front gate?
Thats what im saying. Imagine a 28 Days Later show on HBO 😱
the military were not able to contain the outbreak in part the fault of the civilians. Examples of this are crazy people as the governor who killed an entire convoy of National Guard and they were not hostile. cobalt protocol was to evacuate the remaining troops and reassembles them into a new line of defense, probably any base or aircraft carrier, perhaps a fleet. being part of the protocol for sure the bombing of the hordes that were trapped in marked areas, as the arena that stupid family opened with that many zombies escaped and even destroyed the evacuation plans and most of the troops who were on the base.
although crazy, the governor was right about one thing he said in the comic, the war against the zombies was not won because many people only looked at themselves and fled the fight, preferring to hide. this applies to both civil and military, nothing that many civilians have sought to derail what could the military who were willing to fight. Another important point are the members of the control of diseases not assumed duty as the doctor said in the first season.
Why did the military just use RPGs and granades and a tank to kill that mob of zombies??
Akatsuhi /TheLataleGamer US Military doesn't use RPG'S.
Alex Hall You aren't supposed to be talking to me Alex, you fuckin narc
are you implying that the US military actually have the mental capacity to use their brains in entertaining media?
Shuuya Kano Even if they did use those they still are fucking idiots for using RPG's.
fine, since US military don't use RPG, why they don't use any explosives?
Grenades, Airstrikes, Napalm, all of these could stop this horde easy, also concrete barriers are a thing
Yea but they didnt have time or resources to build it.
But i feel ya.
Cameron Acken Yeah lets just scramble fighter jets...Maybe a B2-Spirit. Maybe some A-10 Thunderbolts...Oh wait...The Air Force isn’t there, well shit...
Cameron Acken yeaa, but they are stupid
Ironclad _Turtle they bombed Atlanta
How could you NOT see or hear that horde coming?
10 months and less than 126000 views. That is how popular this show is/was.
Pc Tong I think because we want to see how dumb was the military in TWD. Btw, I replayed this video 1000 times.
Pc Tong FTWS remains as the second most watched tv show in cable.
Pc Tong
I kind of liked the first season. But after that is meh
How Could That Many Zombies Follow Just 1 Person
Well, the walkers do get attracted by sound, so if one is following the old man, then another one will, then another one, then another one, you see where I'm going with this? Also a horde that big is bound to draw more in.
For every single one of you badasses here who says they were noobs and you would kill them all you forgot about one thing walkers can be killed only by headshot
No heavy gunfire rips their limbs apart and makes them pile up, it would be a organic pile of corpses.
"Get on that .50! Somebody get on that .50"
This is what happens when you let the army stand guard.
Woulda laughed if they kneecapped him to distract the horde lmao, this was such a stupid idea on his part
You see my good Sirs and Madams of UA-cam, in real life the military would demolish a zombie horde easily. for example- Imagine a zombie horde versus a single Abram's tank, or a single Apache helicopter. A tank would just roll over the horde while an apache would simply destroy it with Hydra missile pods and 30mm -113mm rounds that would be fired from its main gun, that may I mention the main gun can fire up to 300 rounds per minute. The only let down of the main gun would be it requires ten minutes to cool if it overheats but I'm sure that the horde if not already gone would be small enough for infantry to handle by the time the gun would overheat.. It is somewhat reasonable for the infantry to not do very well at first though I suppose because in military training Soldiers are trained to shoot at center body mass instead of the head. But you think they would catch on to the fact shooting them in the body wasn't working. But now that I got that out of my system, I have to say this show is very good even though the military is dumbed down in order to avoid turning the show into a Zombie annihilation series. xD
Battle of Yonkers world war z all I gotta say
+D3V THE DUDE that army battle sucks...Brooks didnt know the effect of the bullet on flesh
+FULANODETAL wasn't making a comparison of bullets was meaning even with tanks and helicopters they still lost to zombies
Tanks in TRENCHES and with only 2 shots,,,wtf....,and ofr course brooks forgot all about penetration if a 25mm bradley cannon hit you,,the force of impact made you explote...(dont imagine what can do with dead flesh
IBe Praising you left out small detail both those weapons of Ward need gas and ammunition to function
Typical hollywood...
I like how they can actually aim when they were kinda far away but once they reached the fence, they all miss!
They made the army look like a bunch of amateurs... like come on they have better team work and coordination than that. And seriously, if enemy country can just walk in like that...man
Even amateurs understand that having ONE over-watch position with seriously limited sight would be worthless/pointless. The first thing they'd say is, 'I can't see shit' and move to a different position for a better angle of the surroundings.
They made them look like mall security guards. Even amateurs are better than this.
Solider 1: Is he turned?
Solider 2: Dead don't use tools man.
Old man: Save your ammunition!
Solider 1: The hell does he mean?
*both see a horde of walkers*
Soldier 2: Dead don't use tools.
Walker in TWD S1E2 Guts: I'm using a rock think again.
One word "Tank"
Aí demais :)
why would you j
kill milatary and help the infection to get lne guy
Idd
watch the episode , they had his wife in the compound
That old man honestly had nothing to lose
I've got only one word: DRACARYS!
I've always hated the idea that the army (or any military) could be defeated by a horde of zombies-especially slow ones! A couple of grenades, 50 cals, mini guns, Apaches and bombers turn zombie hordes to ash in minutes.
Throw in a couple of M3 Bradleys and the army would be untouchable as long as they had fuel and ammo.
Look, the army has hands tied proboably, its spreading across us, they deploy soldiers to different areas to stop it, the money they need will run out fast, purchasing ammo, explosives, training, and all those helicopters aren't cheap, maybe those soldiers weren't fully trained cause they needed more soldiers deployed to stop virus, maybe they only had basics until they where deployed to stop the zombies. Then they need to pay for gas for the tanks and aircraft in other areas. Maybe places like the capitals of the state's where way worse than that small town! They have so much to worry about, hazmat teams, ammo, guns, new soldiers, lab testing, gas, equipment, new vehicles, medical supplies, and more explosives to combat zombies, they can't send 65,000 soldiers and 5,600 vehicles to every infected area, Gosh. In my mind, this seems logical, except they only had a fence and a few posted guards.
This is just so stupid.
1. They didn't hear the zombie horde of thousands before they reached the side of the wall? Really?
2. A simple fence as the main gate, why not block that fence with a humvee? The humvee stands 2 meters away. 0:44
3. At 0:44, you can also see a humvee with a .50 cal on top behind the tower where the two soldiers stands. That shit would plow through the zombies like butter.
4. Why not jump in 2-3 humvees and/or the huge truck that is shown at 1:03 and plow through the zombie horde?
5. No grenades? No explosives at all? Really?
But nah, heavily equipped soldiers with a base. Has less chance to survive than a random bunch of civilians that causes drama amongst them 24/7. Seems about right.
I know this is a TV show, but jesus.. it's annoying to see the most armed and well trained people get crushed the first few episodes. While a bunch of cry babies run around and survives for seasons, while most of them doesn't even have the most basic survival training.
These type of shows would have been so much better if the military had safe zones in for example every state. But outside the safe zones were pure chaos, but that was cleaned up day after day by military sweeps, just how a real life zombie invasion would most likely look like.
This is what claymores and anti personnel mines are for
Fear The Walking Dead seems a lot more fun than it's parent show. We can't get it on terrestrial TV in the UK. Damn you, BT!!!
I mean, can't they just use an LAV?
A zombie apocalypse with slow zombies isn't possible because they're easily killed. Deal with it.
InMyFreeTime that's the reason why are zombies from 28 Days Later series better - cause theyre running
TheMinishGuy To be quite honest I found it hilarious that they lay the absolute smackdown on the victims instead of biting them. It's like getting steamrolled by an angry mob hell bent on killing you
William Wykoff in 4 weeks, they wiped out the population of britain. In four weeks. In the first movie, there was a Brigade of 800 men in camp near Manchester, protecting that city. The infected came and only 9 soldiers are known who have survived. Only 9 of 800.
And the infection is fast. Only one little drop of spit, blood , or just a kiss, and in 12 seconds its done.
Imagine having helos, all those high buildings to set up spotters, patrols, all the technological advancements, mounted LMGs, Guards with M249's and still allow a horde to sneak up on you.
"Good writting"
They're fighting an enemy that does not fear them and will keep coming regardless of their fancy weapons. Limited ammunition against basically a city of zombies.
And basically everyone is retarded and cant hit a target big as a human from point blank range.
wonder what the russian millitary would do xDD
katyusha please.....lol
American Blyat russia is the safehaven in the twd universe
they figure out their weaknesses in 3 minutes
all of russia was purged in under 32 hours
there are no zombies there and life continues and functions normally
waaaait what? seriously?
For motha Russia
Russian's don't have to do anything, just party and drink vodka while the zombies freeze.
These military guys have a REALLY BAD SHOT. I mean theyr aim is horrible!. IRL military would have taken out all of them.
+Daniel Clark ever heard of the battle of yonkers in world war z?
+Luftwaffle the battle where Brooks forgets all about bullet penetration, and the effects of 150mm rounds of artillery..
In this scene the 5,5MM BULLETS WIll ve abble to penetrate the zombie and the zombie behind ..
maybe but it the adrenaline rush that makes weapon fire inaccurate, i was not talking about ballistics, but the fact that the army infantry were in conditions that they were not trained for and were unable to react appropriately. just saying.
either way the Army should have been able to hold them off. it's only a few hundred zombies, vs the millions in the Battle of Yonkers.
Luftwaffle 1 Question Always bothered me:
Why did soldiers left theyr tanks?
Tanks are Armored, Airtight, Can go almost throw everything, And you cant open them from outside.
Why didnt just military live inside of armored vehicles, and drive them over zombies.
I love how instead of shooting the ones closest to the fence they shot wildly
That amount of zombs with that arsenal man, should be pice of cake. Clearly no real gun specialist there, that caliber of the right soldier... should just melt that crowd like ballons. :D
Pretty much liberal CA as it is.
MrMedukneusha you have that right my good sir
WHY BOTHER FIGHTING THEM THERE ARE THOUSANDS GET OUT OF THERE!
Walkers were definitely harder to kill when they were fresh... you don't see Rick and the group taking a whole herd on until they were slower and more decomposed, before then it was all about hiding. Keep in mind the soldiers aren't used to them here unlike the post-apocalypse survivors
and are probably shitting themselves against a herd that moves like regular people, knowing they're the complete opposite.
The M60 at the start could have handled the entire horde let alone 60+ men and a chainlink fence with hummers with MGS.
what a stupid part when the guy just walks by telling the soldiers "oh there's some walkers coming this way"
So fake..... Where the fuck are there bullets going?
Army : has Tanks and APCs and grenades and landmines and knows how to build top notch fortifications with elbow grease and short spades and can deploy barbed wire.
Army planning : *puts 2 guys in a very light tower behind a chain link fence and keeps the armored vehicles unmanned in the back*
Also you'd never make it to a "restricted zone" without any other soldier asking you why you're even walking around within half a mile of a restricted zone.
If Rick and Daryl were the ones on that watch tower, maan, that herd would be dead in one minute.
0:30 AND here is a montage of how even if one of the guards has a machine gun, the MANY bullets shot out of his gun don't seem to hit anything.
Seriously!!! they shot so many bullets and they had zero affect what so ever.
This is why you need a motorbike with chainsaws attached to each side
Also, season 3, Morgan had spikes and punji sticks in a street with no formal perimeter, in warm bodies, the entire city had spikes near the entrance. Fear the walking dead: one chain link fence a foot deep should keep out The infected population of LA
Horde is a bit of an understatement don't you think. He had at least a small army of walkers behind him.
The old guy just walks away like it was nothing
I would have yelled 'Hey boys! Fresh meat!' to the walkers as I left if I was there.
a quickly built hesco wall could take the brunt of a whole city of zombies but apparently they think shitty chainlink fencing is enough
Wouldn't be a zombie show/movie if the zombies didn't use stealth mode .....u would think u would hear thousands coming for many blocks away making those gagging noises but nope only when they are on the door step after the old guy announces their presence
those two soldiers posted on guard are probably thinking, "that old man is real dick for leading a horde here."
No rocket launchers? Mortars? 50 caliber guns? Cannons? Grenades? Just 2 guys with machine guns?
MASK Crusader One MG and a M4A1 with attachments, but I get your point.
They shoot randomly which leads to less bullets and easily gets overwhelmed.
Guys keep in mind that Rick killed probably twice as many zombies with his bare hands in Alexandria yet hundreds of trained soldiers equipped with advanced weaponry fail to even scratch the horde.
Or when Rick and Coral killed them with two fcking M16...
That old dude knew what was up,he would fit in to the walking dead time line way of doing thing. just go for a casual walk and use the dead as a weapon
for circumstances like these is why the MK19 grenadelauncher was invented
I like it, more zombies than just fightin bunch of peoples and we forget the zombies.
If I had it my way, the place would be surrounded by a nice deep moat, with constantly spinning propeller blades at the bottom.
I love how non-chalant that guy was about the horde coming after him
Deacon St John: hold my beer
Several well placed 50 cal's and M134's will be more than enough to take out a horde of that size.
Tanks, LAVs would also be sufficient, overkill but efficient.
But if they had that, this scene would hardly be suspenseful. It'd be more of an adrenaline shoot'em'up thrill ride montage.
Realistically, the military would be better equipped to handle this threat.
Cerulean Pony depends tbh, we have soldiers going Awall to protect their families and we clearly see that there was a tank that got overrun in the first season.
Plus just a few 50. cal rounds can completly destroy just about anything, imagine how many zambies it could kill with a few bursts fired at the center.
If you say so. Go read World war Z.
modern military in general is trained to aim for center of mass, not headshots.
Just an Illegal sellin oranges
It's literally the same thing.
The thing that confused me most that, in the TWD early season it show like 3 scenes where the zombies run, but for some reason at other scenes they walking, but confused me most that, they usually appeared as horde
The black soldier kind of looks like the one that dies in the walking dead helicopter crash when the gov. Comes along
If only they'd read the Zombie Survival guide they'd know: slow, well placed shots to the head, in a rhythm.
*When the other kids discover you and your friend have gum.*
Good guy zombie:
Walks up to the only watchpost at the front of the camp when the zombies couldve attacked at the rear end where no guard towers were guarding 😂😂
I don't understand why they didn't notice the horde that obviously makes a lot of noise. and from their numbers you could obviously hear them from a far
Actually it makes sense that the military fails in TWD, A) Zombies did not existed in that universe so this is 100% new for them B) Automatic rifles in this case the M4A1 fires 600 rounds per minute, when you only need one and if you go SEMI AUTO it fires 3 rounds, that with a 30 rounds magazine means at best 10 kills, C) They are using tactics that are effective against humans not again the undead
And nobody thought molotovs would be a good idea.
In real life those zombies would drop fast with that machine gun.
Now that's what you call a FUCKING HORDE.
2 Riflemen posted on the outer wall, yeah because that's a really good idea.
