Played this in my sophomore year and it was definitely the first piece that really stuck with me in a beautiful way. It’s been over a year since the concert I played it on but I still know it by heart. Absolutely perfect piece.

Non è un Violoncello che suona, ma un'orchestra intera, per l'alchimia tra le dita vibranti e lo scivolìo dell'archetto, la quale genera sfumature di suoni così complete ed esaustive da esprimere qualunque stato dell'animo. Una "tavolozza" di suoni attraverso cui il Maestro si fa interprete, per noi, della stupenda Melodia. Da cuore a cuore: dal suo al nostro. Questo brano ha per me un significato particolare, perché suonato, con infinita espressione, dal mio caro papà.

Una "tavolozza" di suoni attraverso cui il Maestro si fa interprete, per noi, della stupenda Melodia. Da cuore a cuore: dal suo al nostro.
