Everyone who shunned him for being honest did exactly the wrong thing, because it all but ensures that sexually inappropriate behaviors will continue to flourish in the shadows. Morgan took a huge risk while betting on the wrong horse. I respect Morgan for his honesty, for changing his behavior, and for speaking out.

Our precious niece died almost a year ago from liver failure at age 34. She began drinking at age 14. She was highly functioning, one would have ever guessed she was drinking all day but for when she was sleeping. She confessed she'd been drinking all day long and popping pills. Her heart gave out in her sleep. She also suffered from depression but we didn't know because she was always so happy, helpful and caring for others. It was very sad losing her.

Morgan had a 2-degree opposition between his natal Mercury and Saturn. Saturn is well known for causing depression. Most recently, Matthew Perry had a 4 degree opposition between his natal Moon and Saturn. I've compiled a page of the celebrities who have stated they suffer from depression. Most of the people have one or more difficult aspects to their natal Saturn. The reason I'm offering this information is that those times when these natal aspects are triggered by progression or transit can be endured by knowing the duration.

Morgan Spurlock's alcoholism just emphasises, that if you have other health issues, you shouldn't live on fast food. Bad as that food type is, the worse it will obviously affect you, if you have other addictions too, like mixing of smoking and drinking alcohol.
People with depression can have so many issues and be self sabotaging. Cancelling is just cruel, vindictive bullying, often by people who cannot forgive someone, who is basically a stranger to them. If people apologise and mean it, forgive them, hate will damage your mental health.

I don't think Spurlock was a regular consumer of fast food before and certainly not after the doc. Ironically, the lesson others may take from his death at a young age is that we should enjoy what we can in the short time we have. I do remember the most shocking thing in the movie was a guy who was interviewed who ate a big mac a day for years who was quite skinny and didn't report any major health problems. It's more likely true that most people who dine frequently on fast food lead unhealthy lives in general or suffer from food or medical insecurity due to being poor.

My dad took me to the Spy Museum. He was a good guy, but he saw a shirt that said “Deny Everything.” And he really wanted to get it. He was a journalist his whole life, so I think he knew how easily a story could be twisted. I never forgot that moment, and unfortunately examples like this are exactly why. Morgan is the reason I got into documentary, he did not need to give red meat to a misunderstanding public. Here’s a thought I had recently, Superman is supposed to be the most perfect hero, and he lies about his true identity because he knows people who are way worse than him will use it against him.

Here's the thing I take away from "Supersize Me". Yes the doc wasn't 100% truthful and he did fabricate some of the claims he had against McDonalds. A big one being the claim that the food caused liver damage when we know it was his drinking. However, the doc did change the fast food industry. Restaurants like McDonalds started to include salad and a few low calorie options to their menus. Fast food also began making the calorie count available, even though that took way more time to be transparent. Even the supersize option isn't as pushed like they were before the doc. The most important thing is it did make people think about the frequency of eating fast food and that eating every day isn't healthy. As someone like myself who has had weight issues for most of my life, it did make me stop and think and I did change how I viewed eating fast food. The doc did change that industry and how people think and I believe it was for the better. As for the demons he had, those are a real challenge but I don't think they should take away what this doc did and its influence on fast food culture. RIP Mr. Spurlock.

Sure if you have done something heinous and you feel guilty about it, its going to haunt you. So just make the best decisions you can and don't look back. Don't look too far ahead either. Just focus on being a kind person to yourself, your environment, and others, in the present moment. The only thing you actually have any control of. Try not to burn your own house down. Regardless of all this, may he rest in peace.

That doctor that said quit pickling your liver also said not even 5 sentences later that if you were an alcoholic i would tell you to quit drinking or your gonna die. Wow he knew he had health issues to begin with and used that condition as a way to produce fast unhealthy results. That doctor didnt know he was an alcoholic because thats not his primary physician that sees him and is up to date on his health these doctors were specifically picked proxies solely for their title and professional diagnosis. They knew something was wrong he just didnt tell them the truth.

I was shocked to hear he had recently died. I think more than the cancer or the liver, Spurlock died of a broken heart. The eternal shaming and shunning. The phony friends who turned their backs on him in his dark hour. Endless brilliant projects scrapped and the people they were intended to help screwed over. The realization that despite owning his mistakes and showing a real commitment to do better, nobody was going to give him a second chance. The stress and anxiety this caused probably aggravated his depression and liver problems, spurring on the cancer that killed him.
Is it really justice to make a sinner bankrupt and unemployable, denying them the opportunity to live to their full potential, especially when it can benefit society as a whole?

Announcing the death of a family member when you've probably got the likes of TMZ peering through your letterbox is hardly "wanting attention'.
The guy had serious flaws but his film woke a lot of people up to the fast food industry. He was a talented film maker. Watch 'Where In The World Is Osama Bin Laden?'.
Granted he deserved the consequences of his actions in regards to his behaviour with women. But surely it's better that he admitted to being part of the problem than just burying it and getting super injunctions like many celebs do?.
Some major hypocrites on this thread who act like they haven't done one shady thing in their lives. He did some sh*tty things that he obviously regretted. If you can't see the difference between this guy and scumbags like Harvey Weinstein then that's your problem.
The guy's dead at 53, he has loved ones and children who will miss him. But still some people want to spit on his grave! W⚓'s

If I would guess, it was most likely his alcohol addiction that caused his early death. But, millions others are doing the same sad thing. So maybe Morgan's death could start a second world wide intervention, for people to drink less.

Explain why he gained almost 25 lbs and his cholesterol went through the roof in 30 days from only eating McDonalds? Explain why his liver tests were normal by three different doctors before starting his McDonald's diet? "The prevalence of NAFLD in 1990 was 18.2% with a forecasted prevalence rate in 2040 to be 55.7%."

So basically his health problems were mostly due to his excessive drinking and he passed them off as due to an unhealthy diet. Really annoying but I guess he needed something to do a documentary about.

Can depression for some people be mostly chemical instead of community and family history?

    • @timedwards5734
      @timedwards5734 29 днів тому

Yeah, that's the difference between clinical and situational depression.
Almost 100% of people will get periods of depression at difficult times in their lives (situational)
But for those who suffer with clinical depression it's chemical imbalances in the brain in regards to serotonin and dopamine levels. You can be a millionaire, have a beautiful partner and family yet still feel empty. Depression isn't like feeling sad which is a normal emotion. You feel horrendously flat.
Hobbies you used to like do nothing for you, you don't find things you used to laugh at funny anymore, even terribly sad things that would once have made you cry, now you feel nothing. You emotionally flatline, you feel worthless, a burdern. It's the worst feeling in the world.
Anti-depressants can help, but it can take a long time to find the right one for you, the same goes for psychiatrists. The most important thing is to have friends and loved ones who understand that you don't want to be like this, who will keep asking you to go out for a coffee even though you've said no for the last 50 times. You don't want people around you even though you're chronically lonely.
It's a dark place and we lose too many people to it. Suicide is the No.1 cause of death of men between 20 and 55. And it's increasing in women too, the one difference is they are more likely to open up and talk than men do.
Talk to your friends, give that person you haven't seen for a few months a ring. They may push you away but there will be a time when they may open up, that's where you can save a life
