- Aguilar Tone Hammer 500W vs. AG 700W Bass Cabinet Head
Comparing the Tone Hammer 500W to the AG 700W head. I am a big fan of both! In this video I demonstrate the different tones created by each head, and do a full review on the AG 700. I highly recommend both amp heads for all bass needs.

The aux in allows for only silent practicing ya? You can't play along to your mp3s out loud through aux in?
Which case scenario would you use the TH and when would you use the AG or you might do away with one eventually
Great heads and great playing!
At last. Someone who made the Tone Hammer sound great for once.
Think I'm sold on the AG700 though.
Thanks so much. I appreciate that. I will say I've heard some weird tones come from people playing the tone hammer. Typically very middy in a way im not a fan of. But i do think that either of these heads are fantastic. I'm really continuing to like the deep rich vibe on the AG700
Yeah, seems like everyone playing an Aguilar has it dialed in like it’s a guitar amp. Super mid range focused
This is the first time I’ve heard one sound warm
Well done! I've been using the AG700 since they were introduced. The goal of these amps was huge headroom, and clean power. Dave was very proud of this amp and I have to say I've it is the best of the best light weight amps in the market. I play in multiple band, and multiple genres. And I use a pedal board, it handles the large signal chain with ease, and holds that clean dynamic range through my SL410, and SL210. Aguilar is the best!
Yessir! Thank you so much for watching! Aguilar really is my favorite out of everything I've owned. I currently play my AG700 through an SL212 or my SL112. Sometimes I stack them as well. I put my stack on full volume in a large concert venue and it was basically loud enough to go on its own lol!
And as I said in the video, my upright bass sounds fantastic through it as well. Another huge reason why I went with Aguilar. I have not been disappointed.
Interested in the double bass through those amps!
Im a big fan. You can really adjust the EQ to get a pretty natural sound. I play upright all the time though my aguilar amps and im always content!
What about the fans for this version ltd
Ya Chad! Great video
John what is up!! Thanks man, i figured it could be useful!
Aguilar are the best
Yessir!
@@chadwesselkamper got myself the ag700 and the th500, fantastic Amps. I used svt CLs and svt vrs for years, great sounding amps no doubt, but highly unreliable and heavy in the end. These new solid state amps are just so good nowadays I can't justify getting another svt or valve amp anymore.
