Despite being part of a series, and with the same designer/artist team, they feel like very different games in terms of gameplay. So there isn't really a good direct comparison. Personally I find the spatial elements of Provence more interesting and a little more complex, but I enjoy the overall play of Walking in Burano more. WIB is also, though of course that can be very subjective, prettier. And, in current practical terms, it's possible to purchase new copies of it fairly easily, unlike WIP.
Both feel a bit different, BUT I prefer Burano. Provence is fine but it's also quite fiddly and a bit of an iffy teach for new players. That alone made me prefer Walking in Burano.
Wish I could find this in the US!
Do you prefer Walking in Burano or Walking in Provence?

I would prefer Provence just because of theme.

I'll stick to the original 😁
