A superb achievement by all involved - I will visit this craft as soon as I can - My father C/KX.116955 L/Stoker A C Hawkins volunteered for the Royal Navy in 1939 and was assigned to an LCT after initial training and served in and around the Mediterranean between 1941 and October 24, 1944, when he died and is buried in Heliopolis Military Cemetery, Cairo - I would love to go on board and take it all in - It will be an emotional experience - John Hawkins

It is great to see these Vessels & Tanks being restored for future generations & hopefully their understanding of the wars before & the wars (hopefully not) to come. Fantastic effort.

This was an impressive work done to transform a sunken wreck into a fine memorial. Thank you for this very nice ship preservation feat. Cheers from Paris

I think the final touch for this exhibit is a tank near it, either a Sherman, Cromwell or Churchill, probably placed in front as if it just came off the LST.

Not to be a nitpicker but the "Sherman" is actually a Canadian built Grizzly and never actually saw service during the war. But they are extensively used as standins due to their greater availability these days. The greatest identifier is the sprockets and tracks which are a finer pitch and not interchangable with actual Shermans.

other half...Before that the Master Mariners club Landfall and before that she had been a LCT(E) Emergency Repair otherwise known as NSC(L) Naval Service Craft, Large hence the odd bow...there was a book about her called Landfall by George Evans, her owner when a nightclub...rare as hen's teeth by now I should think...see UA-cam
