    This is my video from the CCM stand at Motorcycle Live 2022. They weren't at EICMA, so I thought I'd show you around.
    If you've seen my other CCM videos, you might have noticed that I bought one last year, and it was delivered in the summer. I have a Spitifire Six Stealth. It's the least practical bike I own, but it gets a lot of interest if I ride it anywhere and it's surprisingly fun to ride.
    On the stand they have a few Six's, plus the rest of the range and a few new concepts including some double seat tourers with luggage and a Dakar concept. There's also a few bits on the other bikes in the range including the Maverick, Bobber, Heritage 71 and Street Tracker.
    More information on all is on:
    www.ccm-motorc...
    Thanks for watching!

    Fantastic.
    Great to see a British company showing the rest of the world how its done. Especially with that fabulous engine.
    Thanks for posting.

      I think the engine is tried and tested. There are more fabulous engines these days but the old Husky engine works well in the CCM.

    I worked for Alan Clews many years ago. I wonder how he is. A good guy but at least in those days was wet behind the ears as an employer but we all have to begin somewhere. I wish CCM well. Their new machines are a long way from the motocross bikes we used to make.

    Thank you for your detailed explanation, although I can never afford to buy/import this to my country, the double seat Spitfire gives me some inspiration to build like it on a two cylinder 250 cc bike.
    The CCM attention to details can't be compared to other big manufacturer that also sells "retro" genre motorcycle.

    The whole "modern retro" theme has been taken-up by quite a few manufacturers in recent years, but, in my humble opinion, I believe CCM is executing it more coherently than most-- their design ethos seems to be "Classic\Retro lines & proportions, but Modern materials & details," and I hope they keep at it!

    • @PeakMotorcycles
      @PeakMotorcycles  Рік тому +1

      I agree, though at some point using a more modern engine would be nice! (Not sure how old the 600 single design is, but what it lacks in refinement it makes up for with character, which suits the bike quite well!)

    CCM is really pushing the design and paint envelope on their new offerings. While not inexpensive, I'd still pony up the dough for one in my garage. These are nice!!

      @PeakMotorcycles  Рік тому +1

      Yup, I think they look great. I agree that £10k (starting) isn’t cheap, but it’s not crazy money either, and for the price, there’s not a lot else that attracts that much attention!

    Thanks for covering CCM at the show, really liking the Maverick, I think the number plate position makes a big difference to making the bike look finished, the side mount and the arm from the rear wheel hub is a deal breaker for me as I don't think either suits the style of the bike.
    I see there's a lot of the bikes on the stand don't have a number plate, or a bracket on which a plate would mount, maybe CCM agree with me?

    • @PeakMotorcycles
      @PeakMotorcycles  Рік тому +1

      You are welcome, and I agree that the location is problematic on several of the models. My Six came with it on the rear mudguard, but I think I’ll move it to the side. It’s still not great, but it has to go somewhere. They all look great without one 🤣

    Really like the CCM Maverick and am tempted to order one, only reason I haven't so far is I couldn't find a dealer who had one I could test ride plus I've never seen one on the road or spoken to an owner to ask what its like to ride and live with, I still might take a punt on one but would like to ride one first before spending the money.

    • @PeakMotorcycles
      @PeakMotorcycles  Рік тому +1

      There’s a CCM user group via the forums on their website. If you’re ever up in Bolton, I’m sure they could sort out a test ride. They also did a roadshow earlier this year and had a test fleet at the ABR Festival. They don’t have dealers (or at least I thought they only did direct sales…) so perhaps you’ll get to try one through one of the other channels. Good luck!

    I hope CCMs are better than they were. I had a CCM 604 service bike once - from Bracken KTM in Bermondsey . The worst gearbox I've ever experienced. To my eyes, a lot of these bikes appear unfinished. Apart from the Maverick. Wow!

      @@PeakMotorcycles You know what, I agree with this statement, after googling out what Kawasaki Z’s line up here in Indonesia, their population are super limited due to high pricing slapped to every motorbike above 250 cc displacement, which can get up to 3x the price of European/American used to.
