Could THIS Be Thorpe Park's Next Ride?!

- With one of the rumoured rides going to Thorpe (Intamin Gyro) now heading to Pleasure Beach we speculate on what Thorpe Park's 2025 flat ride addition will be!
We discuss the KMG Lunarix model and how the timing of this new ride release would tie in perfectly with Thorpe Park's plans to remove The Slammer flat ride to make way for a brand new flat ride to compliment the Hyperia Fearless Valley area. This is NOT a wink wink nudge nudge 'speculation' video, it's just me riffing! aha

Just pondering... just pondering... but there's a few things that line up. Could Hyperia be getting a cosmic / mythical themed companion in Fearless Valley in 2025?
KMG have already stated that the first Lunarix will go to Golden Way Amusements, Australia.
@@StoneAgeProductionsAdventure They have indeed but are they getting the permanent park model? Given that the park is a travelling fair ride style attraction they wouldn't be getting the permanent version
@@LiftHillsandThrills Lets just hope your theory is right because it would be an excellent addition to thorpe park and besides thorpe really needs more flat rides.
It looks very fitting in Liseberg in their luna park area, however that’s only one year old so would be surprised!
Fingers crossed for Thorpe though!
That would be a good fit too!
Before you said "outside the US", that theming render screamed Epic Universe to me, inside Celestial Park 😅 In all fairness, it would be a great addition to the park line-up as samurai still picks up a fairly big queue. Although, I would personally like to see some investments in more indoor attractions. We live in England, after all, and may help with the park attendance on wetter days.
I thought exactly the same! SCREAMED Celestial! The UK is seriously allergic to indoor attractions... we don't have many to be proud of
Hmmmm, i think Detective Evans may have just stumbled across something here! Interesting 🤔
It ties in with a few things but it also could tie into other areas at other parks... I'm just naturally UK bias as I genuinely want to see us make an effort at some point in my lifetime on this planet
@@LiftHillsandThrills chance would be a fine thing! 🤣
One of the best speculation videos I have seen for a while. All stands up to scrutiny with well articulated and compelling evidence. Really enjoyed this video and there wasn’t even a rant or any humour. 😂
Looking forward to see what Thorpe do with that space.
The humour is in the fact it's probably never going to happen haha but appreciate you watching all the same
My suggestion for Fearless Valley: A HUSS Condor 2GH, like Fatamorgana at Tivoli Gardens in Denmark. I'd call it Mirage.
Solid!
One of my other fav rides, but with the same name - Fata Morgana at Efteling 😀
This would be mesmerizing to watch offride and a great fit for Thorpe! I do love a bit of speculation
Would be very interesting!
Someone’s got way too much time on their hands, but OMG glad you have, you could be right here (as per!) it would be a great investment for the park & UK and would fit in perfectly with colossus & Hyperia.
Please be right with this one, can’t wait to ride!
haha I had a spare hour! aha but I'm not entirely sure if this will happen, it's a long shot this one as the first model is going to an amusement park in Australia but if they do a custom park one with a higher capacity it would be SPOT ON for Thorpe!
@@LiftHillsandThrills please be right Shawn, & I’ll buy you a pint next time I see you at a BPB event or somewhere
Defiantly agree with you here slammer was a very unique flat ride and I can see Thorpe park wanting to replace it with something that has never been seen before…. Good investigating and another one you are most likely right with 😂
I'm guessing this one.. no sneaky speculation where I know exactly what it is...aha
4:17 it may be heading to Wiener Prater
There’s one going to Australia but it’s the travelling model, park model is still open
Elementary , My dear Evans 💭
Elementary
This is a great replacement of Slammer omg
It would be damn good
Omg this would be so amazing to see but also a huss frizbe ride would be interesting too
Agreed! I highly doubt (due to the capacity) that this would happen unless they had a custom park specific model with more seats but it's nice to do an actual speculation video without any wink wink nudge nudge info behind the scenes aha
@@LiftHillsandThrills thsts understandable I can't wait to see it
Sounds like your really onto something here - would be an amazing replacement - thanks for sharing
I’ll keep on digging! Aha
My only concern with this ride is the capacity as each gondola only has 1 seat. Ive ridden a KMG Inversion 12 (currently my favourite flat ride, theyre absolutely awesome) which is similar to this but only has seats on the end of one arm which then has 3 gondolas on the end with 4 seats per gondola (12 seats in total - hence the name) so i could see this ride having a variation to have 2 seats per gondola and not 1 but i guess we'll have to see!
That’s my only concern too, a capacity increase on this to 32 would be a no brainer
I feel like the throughput would be way too low for a new attraction next to their headline attraction (plus I don't really like the look of this 😄). Interesting pondering though for sure!
Would need a capacity increase for sure!
I did a video about my thoughts on themeing on thorpe park and this is all tieing in with what I was saying I really hope the whole park takes on this whole theme and I can really see it becoming a God / goddess type land.
Really good theory I can really see this
Shame the capacity on this is so low because it would fit in rather wonderfully
Would prefer a tower ride in that space tbh, would compliment sky bound better. But who’s going to complain about Thorpe getting a new flat 😂
It really could be anything, I'm merely guessing on this one aha
Booster tech big on at Barry if you could create a wind break
👀
Do something similar to formula rossa and make a mini hyperia for younger guests so they can have more to do while the bigger kids do other rides like stealth and the previously mentioned hyperia
A mini Hyperia aha terrifying kids of all ages!
To be fair Thorpe is really for thrill seekers and it should stay that way. Take your family to Alton Towers or Chessington.
Is it not a bit too similar to Samurai in the public eye though, which is right next to where the new ride would be.
Not really… in terms of its movements etc but yeah I’m just speculating (for once) aha
Lunarix looks like a cool idea and, while i see the dots youre connecting, i cant see Thorpe getting such a low throughput ride with such a long load/unload cycle too. I could see a Starflyer working, and itd be especially funny if they waiting for BPB to announce their "uk's tallest flat ride" and then build a starflyer thats 5ft taller 🤣
And while it might not be original, something like Falcon's Fury could work - especially if they manage to hoop that into Hyperia's backstory (like maybe that was the pole used to practice her flying or something 🤷♂️)
Throughput of Thorpe flats has never really been their strongpoint as such so I wouldn't be surprised if this is on the table or HAS been on the table at some point even in passing discussion
Sean with a total speculation vid means this is 100% happening lol!
Noooo 😂 I said at the start this isn’t my normal video like that, just guesswork I promise 😂 don’t want to ruin my 99% record (Beaver Creek still needs to return to Pleasure Beach for my 100%) on a ride that may never happen 😂
@@LiftHillsandThrills😂
they should do a dark coaster IMO
They should… but they won’t 😢
Interesting …… however, I feel like it’s similar to samurai (just doubled up) and maybe a bit too big for the slammer space? I’d personally want to see something a little bit more unique. Anything is better than nothing just hope it’s not a nebular! H :)
It’ll fit in the space 😊 what would you want instead? 👀
@@LiftHillsandThrills how about an old toboggan ride there’s only one left I believe on the fun fair circuit 😆
@@AdventureTimesUK ........
i wouldnt complain if thats thorpes new ride
It’s only throughput that would be an issue
One ride I'd much rather like to see, if KMG is really being considered here, would be a Speed 32 like Airborne at HPWW. It'd be another colossal ride with a similar height to Hyperia, and given that that coaster has kind of set a precedent with the types of heights Thorpe can build at, it's not entirely outside the realm of possibility. And, it could be marketed as England's tallest flat ride, since the closest other Speed 32 is in Wales (but who really knows about it other than hardcore thoosies, amirite?).
I'm a massive sucker for boosters, and seeing a giant one at Thorpe would absolutely make me lose it.
The issue would be that with a booster, you're one power outage away from ending up on the front page.
Their capacity is also even worse than this!
KMG infinity or speed 32 would go great but they are pretty expensive 3-4 million and capacity considered..
@@LiftHillsandThrills Is it, though? I've checked KMG's website and the Lunarix concept only seats 16 people in total, half of the Speed 32's, and you still have to load each 8 person gondola separately just like a booster.
@@MondoCoasters Yes sorry I didn’t see anything over than booster, Speed 32 would be good capacity they’d just need to change this one, 16 would be slim pickings in a park where flat ride capacity still is a little… slim pickings
Barry Island has a Speed 32 so I don’t think it would be that.
Do you think thorpe park should have a Christmas event in December? Like Chessington Alton towers & Lego land do
I don’t think Thorpe Park could ever feel festive, it just wouldn’t work for me
I really don't think so, 16 riders is lower capacity than Dobble, also, those colours are lights, theme parks don't use lights on their flat rides, apart from headlights like Samurai.
They would need a custom capacity model if indeed they went for this but I’d bet heavily that this was at least an option on the table before they decided on whatever they were getting. It’s a solid option with only capacity being its downfall and those lights can easily be changed
Cool ❤
😊
Lunarix
👍
This seems perfect follow up to hyperia
Thought I’d try some common sense for once
Im Thinking Of A Mack Stryker Coaster Tbh
For their next ride? aha

Between you and them elves in your under stairs cupboard I think you do have a good point . Just make sure you feed them well 😂😂😂
😂
Expedition theme park would have a whale of a time in a couple years if this happens 😂
How so? aha great channel though!
Haha Pure speculation!!! Although I am pretty sure you are bang on though. Now you have done this, watch Thorpe Park announced something soon on it 😂😂
Haha I doubt it
@@LiftHillsandThrills haha you never know mate. They will have someone contact you asking you to take the video down 😂
Intamin Gyro Swing would be better
Pleasure Beach has a better one now aha
Interesting......very much so.
Throughput is the only thing making me doubt its implementation
@@LiftHillsandThrills this is a REALLY real possibility and even ties in with lost city vibes and does compliment there other flat rides really well
will you be making a video on towers talking about ride sponsorship I think it's a terrible move from the park and worth talking about
Nah.. too embarrassing of a video to make, I’m not against it if it’s subtle but my god if it’s big and obvious I’ll be keeping clear
@@calamitycoasters2591 Sponsorship?! What have I missed?
@@LiftHillsandThrills i really hope its subtle because if it isnt thats a huge hit to the parks atmosphere we dont need another oblivion fanta sponsorship
Can you sort me the lotto number out 😂 deffo onto something!!!😊
Sorry putting all my $$ into an Alton Towers ride sponsorship my new company LoadaShite is sponsoring Rita
First! (Maybe?🤷♂️🤣)
haha woo!
Could easily see that , but did you mean 80m not feet?
80m in feet would be over 200ft tall... I think 80 feet is more appropriate aha
@@LiftHillsandThrills 80ft seems too small for a ride next to HYPERIA in my opinion.
@@aarontaylor7750 They wouldn't build another stupidly tall ride just because it's next to that big boy
That thing does not have a great capacity. And the first one is going to Australia if I am not mistaken.
That's correct, just checked. Thorpe would no doubt get a custom one considering the first one looks to be going to an amusement park so that would be the travelling model (you'd assume) the park one SHOULD have a higher capacity
@@LiftHillsandThrills True. But I have not seen Amy talking about a park version yet. (Amy is becoming the new CEO of KMG Rides, and is currently the spokeswoman for the company.)
If this is first of it's kind I don't think it's a good idea to have it in a park, Slammer 2.0 with it's issues
It’s KMG, they make solid products. I’d understand if it was those guys who did The Wave train or something 😅
Great work on this! Looks like it could suffer the same throughput issues that the zamperla nebulaz has though.
Zodiac - 40 Capacity (I think)
Quantum - 40
Vortex - 32
Samurai - 25
It would be a brave choice to add the lowest capacity flat (that isn't a kids ride) unless capacity can be adjusted to vary between travelling / park model
@@LiftHillsandThrills With double the on/off loading time, it won't leave much time for a decent cycle if it is just 16 riders per cycle.
Low capacity
Very much so, it would need an increase if it was a park version
