Yup it's the treasure island train. It's had it's steam train fascade pulled from it though and it was just used as a shunter i think (but then it probably wasn't used) as i think the CCR ran in fixed sets of 4. I went in the shed in 2014 so it's been there a long time!

I have been visiting Thorpe Park since 1981. According to my maps, at this time there was a land train (Dotto type vehicle) running along that route to the water gardens. There was no farm or Treasure Island in 1981. By 1985 there was a stop on the land train for Treasure Island where one disembarked and boarded the little train which ran round Treasure Island, which is where your little engine must have operated. The land train continued to Thorpe Farm.
In 1989 Canada Creek railway opened as transport to the farm with a stop by Thunder River for the TI railway.
1993 was Treasure Island's last year of operation.

One memorable trip to Thorpe for little sister's birthday... her very daring friend looked up at a big coaster and insisted we go on that one. Colossus. Mid construction. Unfinished track hanging mid-air... This kid still insisted that was what she wanted to ride! Thorpe Farm was such a great lunch-break, eat, wander round seeing the animals for a chance to digest before going back on the thrill rides! thrills are great, but a balanced theme park appeals to a much broader audience.

Thanks for the video. One of the locos was kept as a shunter to assist with breakdowns on the CCR after Treasure Island closed at the end of the 1992 season. The park also closed the pedestrian access along the lake to both TI and the farm at that time and subsequently invested in the third CCR train to move more people. They also added the Model World water bus service around the same time.
The Lady of The Lake was a hydraulic hand holding excalibur that raised out of the lake by the old History Scene in the area where Swarm now stands (behind Depth Charge).
I went on the train through the pirate ship, they used to have an actor as a pirate jumping out. Man I feel old.
Fascinating find! The old parts of the park must be littered with artefacts. Ive alwayd wondered what happened to the Viking Longboat...
That was a bit of a sad video for me and my memories and how time flies. How you wanted me to take a pigmy goat home from the farm and I think I even looked into buying one...... Thorpe Park had that effect. A great nostalgic video :) Keep it up.
