- I will give you an update of what I have been doing lately. What I have been working on. Also which board game I am exacting to receive soon and what miniatures I will hopefully paint soon.
I received to notification that my next board game is on its way. I hope I will receive it this week so I can start to paint those miniatures. I have been looking forward to this game a lot.
Besides that I have finished to paint my last hero of Zombicide Black Plague from the Wulfsburg expansion. Just on time! And I have also been learning a lot to improve my channel art soon.
I'm a new subscriber to you channel. I have been painting miniatures for about 4 years and I enjoy watching other peoples painting style and techniques. I wish you all the best. Coming to you from Southern California. Cheers!
That is so cool, welcome :D. I have been painting for only about 1 year and I learned so much from other painters. Its great that we can see and learn from each other. Keep on painting your awesome miniatures :).
PS. I am jealous, it is probably very nice weather at your place!
Wonderful channel! I really appreciate your genuineness and enthusiasm, because you can tell you are sincere.
Thank you so much :). I am happy you like it! I just try to be me although I need to get more comfortable.
Keep the great work going!
Thank you so much. I can see you were one of my first few subscribers and you still checking out my video's. Amazing and thank you! That is so awesome :).
It sucks this channel doesn’t post anything anymore. 😓😓

Greetings from Poland!!!!
Piotr Sarnecki hello Poland ^^. Great to see you here :D. I hope you are doing well.
It's nice to know what you're looking forward to, as always the best to you. By the way, I expect to paint my Chimera as well as you do your mini's------ok, you can stop laughing now.
Michael Halbert I will still let you know what paints I would use. I was busy at work yesterday so I was home late. I also want to take a serieus look at the paints I would use. It is a very interesting miniature. I think you will do a great job. You already know the basics of painting only miniature painting will be different. This is not an easy mini but you might even surprice yourself :).
Haha this video is exactly everything I've been doing and thinking about too :-D glad I'm not alone! Why did you start your channel in the first place?
Oh were are doing the same thing now :D. I did see your improved thumbnails, They look much better!
I did learn so much from the UA-cam video's when I was getting into the hobby and when I was painting. It also helped me so much when I was painting a miniature to see how other people have painted that mini. Than I had a better idea of how I wanted to paint mine and it also helped me to actually paint minis. If this person is painting it I can also do it! But I could not always find video's of what I am painting. So I thought of making video's to give people an other option and hopefully help painting there mini's. I do like to see how other people paint there mini's and I also noticed I paint mine a bit different, of how my style is.
Why did you start to make video's?
Thanks, yeah spent a long time tweaking the thumbs, not quite finished yet, just keep trying out different versions - once I've decided on what I want, I'll update them all :-)
Sounds like I started for almost the exact same reason:
1) I needed to make a video for my Alexa app to show CMON what it did (thought it would be handy to see it in action), which then gave me a "buzz" for being internet famous I guess? :-D slightly internet famous :-D
2) like you when I started painting I looked at how other people did it, I loved when they did a whole model and I could just copy along, I quickly found they don't do many models :-D so I used up every tutorial there was for the games I had. So I thought I'd like to help other people start painting with full videos of how I did it. When I started I didn't really consider it a tutorial - I still don't think its great for teaching - its more just watching me paint something where I talk a little :-D
I like seeing all the different styles too, I really enjoy working on my channel with my friend who does some of the painting sometimes, we have totallllyyy different styles, but I learn a lot from his style and combine it with mine, which I think is ending up with decent finishes on my models - but really quickly done.
I look forward to seeing a lot more from you :-)
That is so cool! In the beginning I found UA-cam to be a bit much. There are so many things you need to learn and know about. But everything gets easier now. Like the Thumbnails and figuring that out is also a lot of work.
So good to hear you also started this for about the same reason :). It is scary in the beginning but you can really connect and help other people with. I love to see what other painters do and are working on. We have a great hobby! Oh and I also love the play the games. Have been playing Massive Darkness for a bit, already some different quests, and I have so much fun with it :D.
Gee, and I thought you just painted full time ha ha ha. I'll look forward to your suggestions. I'm as of today washing and priming it and I'm going to use a white primer.
Michael Halbert I wish I could paint full time. I am doing it on the weekend as hobby and I work during the week. So I will check it out for you tonight.
White primer sounds good.
Thank You. And don't feel rushed or in a hurry, do your thing.
To give you some indication of colors which i would use is actually very hard for me just going of the picture. For the lions face and paws I would mix Iroko from Scale75 with Bonewhite from Vallejo. I would make this a light color. Then for his mouth I can maybe use Bonewhite or just lighten it a bit with Off White. For his dark hairs I would first do a layer ofChoclate Brown and then mix that color with Beige Brown to go to the lighter color. After applying a dark wash to that I would drybrush it with the color I used but mixed in Iroko to get a lighter color. Drybrushing is great for fur and hair from animals.
For the goat I will use a gray color like Cold Gray and highlight it with Stonewall Gray, maybe even mixing those colors. For his mouth and feet I would go for Off White and maybe mix in just a little bit of the Gray. For the horns I would do thar Brown from Scale75 mixed with a bit of Earth.
For the dragon I would use the red colors I always do. And have the inner parts of the wings in a lighter color. Maybe not to much difference but that will make them pop. Colors 1 Black Red 2 Red 3 Gory Red.
I am pretty much mixing colors all the time. It is hard for me to just give you one colors.
Thank You so much! This gives me a great ballpark idea as to where to start. I'll keep you posted.
Do you like to paint Historical miniatures Miss Flame?
So far I have pretty much painted more fantasy miniatures which are for board games and other miniatures for tabletop games. I do like to paint the minis which are humans. For historical minis I think I could improve more on them looking 'real'. I do find the subject very interesting and with those minis the colors you use can be more important and significant. I have not painted these minis a lot but yes I do like to paint them.
