This film is a real eye opener for all parents. Really well worth a watch just for the advice given by this wonderful woman who spends her life looking after kids who get involved in gangs and drugs. She speaks so much sense! x
Loved William Shatner in this movie! He was perfect for this part because he showed vulnerability, strength, and compassion. And he never gave up looking for his daughter. I've never been a Star Trek fan, but he sure won me over here!❤🫠❤️
At least it b rought the family back together. Even though it was a horrible crime. Always loved susan blakely. Great actress. Gangs are worse today in la and vegas and all across america. Very sad these ids end up dead or in prison.
I love all the comments, so many take aways, here is mine. Notice the non existent relationship between the dad and son, and others, and it takes a tragedy and/or the situation they are in, to make them aware of what they have. So many take aways, even the principal and her "this is the cushion generation". We are going full circle nowadays but in a diff way with tech!
This was made in 1988, the problem known yet society did nothing to listen and here we are in 2024 and we are the country known for endless school, mall, movie theater, playground, picnic, concert and club shootings. We are worse now, not better. What was said about parents not being involved and indulging their kids is even worse now. 🤷🏻♀️
People that’s not a unibrow there is a space between the two eyebrows, you can remember how many girls wore their eyebrows like that many many girls I don’t know how many was in the team magazine when I was growing up they were thicker back then they didn’t have a pencil line or the idiots that like to shave lines on them or shave them off and paint them on
I completely cannot understand why would people complain about other people's eyebrows? Who says what shape eyebrows another person should have? Is there a law regarding these subjects? Before you complain, look in the mirror.
My eyebrows disappeared when I went through the Menopause (it should be called the Womenopause), and I would give anything to have some eyebrows for people to complain about! Hahaha! ... The daft thing is, my hair has got thicker and very wavy, just like I have had a shaggy perm! Makes no sense to me at all! Lol! 🙂
@@suesmith616 oh, well, I think I'd swap my eyebrows for hair like yours! Isn't that amazing how hormones define our looks? I wear a hat all day, all year round as my hair is so thin and every day I have less of it. Thank you for sharing this, as I had no idea, that this could happen after the menopause. 👍
@@E-Kat ... So sorry to hear about your hair thinning so much. At least I can pencil my eyebrows on. Have you mentioned it to your doctor as maybe they might suggest HRT? People go through the Menopause at different ages, some as young as in their 30's which is so sad. I have suffered no symptoms apart from the loss of my eyebrows. My eyelashes are still there, which is a puzzle! I am almost 64 and still no grey hair, just the odd strand here and there. I wash my hair and let it dry naturally which takes about 4 or 5 hours to thoroughly dry. It's a nightmare. If I try and use a hair dryer, even with a diffuser attachment, it goes frizzy and thicker. There are shampoos you can buy which are supposed to help thinning hair. Plantur 39 and Alpectin are 2 of them I know about but you have to continue to use them and not expect results after just one wash. ... I wish you good luck! Hugs 🙂x
@@suesmith616 hi Sue! Thank you so much for your lovely message. I'll look into the HRT, that's probably the reason, but your hair got thicker after the menopause. I had a look into the foods which could have a similar influence on our body as the oestrogen and I certainly don't eat much of anything of that sort. My diet is so poor following my husband's death as I'm never hungry and can't be bothered to cook. My hair takes minutes to dry! I'm really happy for you and your thick hair. It would be amazing if doctors could do research on the reason why your hair got so thick after the menopause. Thank you again Sue. My best wishes, 🤗🥀
@@E-Kat ... So sorry to hear that you lost your husband. I tend to suffer from depression on and off and I have no reason to at all. I just worry too much about anything and everything! I too don't eat very much either. I tend to just live on fruit during the day and have a bowl of soup or pasta at night unless my husband insists I eat a decent meal which he cooks. He loves cooking! I am sure he was born to be a chef! Lol! So food can't be causing my hair to become thicker and wavier. I just think it is something genetic. My Mum had a good head of hair and so did my Dad. My brother does too. I wish I could show you a photo of mine. Lol! ... Seeing as you don't eat much, please take some multivitamin tablets and try some fruit. I find fruit so easy to eat and it is full of goodness, especially kiwi fruit and bananas! ... I also find Chemists more helpful than Doctors in cases where you are not in pain. They seem to know more about medicine than Doctors. That is just my opinion, and I find they are always available and willing to talk to you, unlike Doctors. Please take care and msg me anytime! Her dad should take that young girl in as a foster child at least she would have a roof over her head and someone to care and love her! I hope her parents find their missing daughter!
Eyebrows are there to stop the sweat from dripping down our eyes. There's no other function for them. Any way thy grow naturally, is correct; it's the only way to have them. Painting them is completely silly as the paint has no function! Why would you decide how someone else should look like? You're truly bizarre but you can be as bizarre as you want. 😂
It’s illegal in some provinces to have a mono brow. That is why people are in shock over the girl with the mono brow. What is hard to fathom, is how on Earth her parents could allow their daughter to break the law and grow a mono brow.
Well to be fair they also said she had on a blue dress. Detective work from years ago is so funny. Like keeping evidence in brown paper bags, no gloves

Why is it so common for UA-cam movies to have sound missing? From minute 8:30-9:21 is silent that I was going to choose something else to watch
Keep watching, the sound comes back and is perfect
I think it was because of the subject matter in those scenes.
