I hope you have an awesome tour this year and stay motivated, stay safe. I turn the bluetooth speaker on and i start singing and screaming along. I feel the emotion and the energy. I still remember being 11 and my family and kids at school hated Slipknot, i'm 25 now. You are the reason i started singing and getting serious about music back then, and i don't think there would be a world where i exist if Slipknot didn't. Me and my best friend Max bonded over your music in 7th grade, we started a band as 2 misunderstood kids that no one else wanted to talk to. I used to wear a custom made Paul Gray mask with black paint that would smudge off and get in my eyes, but it didn't matter, it was Slipknot to me. Me and Max would scream and break things and throw stuff around (including eachother), running through his garage like monsters, jumping on and off our own stage, like we thought we were Slipknot 2.0 or something, hahaha.
Max also got tons of free merch from Joey Jordison, a signed drumhead with a kind message, a Disasterpieces snare drum, drumsticks, a signed Murder Dolls album and a signed Iowa 10th Anniversary album.
Those days were sacred to us and now we are all older, but thank you for being there even when you didn't know exactly what it meant to us. You made huge impacts in my life and Max's life.
You still do.
We both love the new album too, although i have been hesitant to revisit the new album because i didn't want to binge it when it released, i will soon though, haha..
