- Swami Sarvapriyananda, head of the Vedanta Society, New York, will be visiting the Vedanta Society of Southern California from July 14 to 21, and will speak on two Sundays (in Hollywood and Santa Barbara) and give four classes (three in Hollywood, one in Santa Barbara). Anything and everything that comes out of swamiji's mouth is golden knowledge / golden exposition of timeless Vedic knowledge but this is one of the better expositions! I can listen to him forever! When you become aware that you are it, it can easily get you into the meditative state and make you go inward automatically even without effort and even in the middle of listening to his spirited exposition! oh my!

Actually I had a family member who got Alzheimer's disease but she was not able to know that she's forgetting...I mean it is not always true that you know you are forgetting. So what Swamiji said that you know that you are forgetting or not not able to remember stuff may not be true in everyone. Can someone help me to understand

One more question...in deep sleep we have an experience of absence but as soon as we use the word " "Experience '' it automatically brings subject and object. ( Experience= consciousness+ objects).
So what objects are we talking about?? Since no objects in deep sleep

A torch illumen itself and other things as well why consciousness cannot reveal itself it's all its the most powerful then how can there be limitation of it of illuminating itself there is some fault in Advaita vedanta philosophy
