Hi there... please tell Swami Sarvapriyananda that I am his number 1 fan 😊. My name is Owen and I'm from South Africa. I send alot of questions to his team at Vedanta society in NY but they probably think they are lame so they dont ask him on #askswamy sessions 😂. Anyways tell him he's really helped me as I'm sure 100000s of others 🙏🏽 my deepest respects and hope to see him one day in NY. Vivekananda, Ramakrishna and Holy Mother are shining in his heart ❤️

Please also tell Jeffery Mishlove I love watching all his old clips from back in the day. He was a divine instrument of transmission in a time when things as this was mostly ridiculed.

Wow, this illuminates many subtle distinctions of the path. I particularly liked the discussion around reconciling the paradox of non-duality with, well, being a living breathing human in this crazy world 🙃. I will revisit in future for learning and inspiration, and hope for a part two. Thanks Leanne and Swami Sarvapriyananda for such an insightful dialogue 🙏

A rich salad bar with all sorts of wisdom croutons to crunch on. And a great cross-section overview of the Hindu tradition as well. What came through for me as being of vital importance in this interview was the importance of measured appraisal of one's self, especially when it comes to Advaita, where one's ego could easily get caught up in such a level of self-cherishing as to see it confound or confuse one thing for another and lead to an unhealthy level of ego self-aggrandisement. I have witnessed many a spiritual teacher fall victim to that trap. And Swamiji's answer in response to the question about maya was also relevant in this regard. There is an ongoing oscillatory process on the spiritual path, and maya appears to play a vital role in keeping the ego-a-go-go in check.

yes - i was just saying to a friend when we were discussing the path etc - i said, life is just lighter - doesn’t have to be sooo serious based on constructs of who we thought we were….

Vedanta -- Veda = The ultimate knowledge Antha - The End. Vedantha - Could also mean End of Ultimate Knowledge...Then what? End of Ultimate knowledge which is acquired by Mind should be dropped to go towards "Experiential knowledge" - In that state, you are experiencing the knowledge as mentioned in Vedas. My thinking

I understand the lesson that it's all one.. but since we are each having our own personal experience, is there a point at which that ceases, like in Moksha? The time in-between reincarnation, perhaps as a ghost, it seems that one still has a personal unique vantage-point.. does that ever dissolve? There's also lots of fascinating twin studies that suggest most of who we are is made up of biology (genetics, hormones, but-bugs), so where does karma and free-will fit into that. Even when one dies, it seems you still have your own agency/free-will.. is there a point in which you merge and don't have that personal experience?
I've heard that after death, things appear very much like on earth... perhaps as a result of the collective consciousness, but how does that fit with all life. For example, do bacterias and animals share the same after world as humans.. what about aliens? Where do (dead) aliens reside in relationship to humans in the afterlife?
There's many fascinating NDE stories, where people where given a choice to return or not.. others could not choose, and were told they had to go back (to earth)... who's doing the asking? And who determines if you come back as an alien fish on a planet? Are they like old-souls/spirit-guides or more like a bureaucracy on the other side? Or our higher selves? For example, the data from the Scole Experiments, and Anabela Cardoso's EVP suggest there are beings on the other side that have to follow rules, and they are working on setting up a way to communicate with the living!
Finally, I've heard it said that most people are so caught up with their thoughts, that they sleep-walk thru life, never noticing anything around them. So it seems, being awake and noticing everything in the present is a good thing. On the other hand, when you are totally involved, and in the zone, you are so focused that you filter everything out, including the sense of time... which I've heard Sadhguru say is a good thing (talking to Sunil Chhetri ). So, is being aware of everything a good thing, or is it best to be so focused on the task in front of you, that you are not conscious of anything else?
BTW Bibhu Dev Misra mentions that on on March 31, 2025 the Kali Yuga age ends, which then causes a period of unrest/conflicts/wars, leading to a global collapse by 2040!

only intermittently. the rule for infinity means that the answer to your question is more no than yes.
