I compare the sound with & without the X-Click and play a short Demo with the "Mundo" as well.
Enjoy!

Great groove, Matthias. As always, quality work. We've been missing your videos. You must be busy.
Thank You Jeff! As mentioned in the community post, I got new network & unfortunately have some physical problems. But it's getting better so I will move on recording new videos soon. :-)
I think if it had a certain channel hollowed thru the center of it then itd definitely be a worthy purchase
That’s interesting, maybe I should use my Dremel Tool and find out if this works 🤔
@@MatthiasKnorrMusic no doubt it will
Had to try real hard to hear the benefits of the X Click to no avail. Proper snare drum tuning and proper stick control are King! I really wanted to see it as a good thing, promise I did. Nice drumming though!
Thanks for checking out the Test Video. I have to agree that the X-Click to my ears is a great addon to use on 13" Snares or smaller. On the 14" (with Die-Cast Hoops) it is not really an upgrade. But I use it now on the 13" Yamaha Recording Custom Brass and it works great!
@@MatthiasKnorrMusic I can see that! Currently have a live woodblock with a small piece of a paper towel stuffed inside and my left foot handles that with of course a wood beater! Together with rim shots on the snare are incredible!
I tried one in real life and they really add that extra meat. Even on 14” snares.
The copper ply helps getting more projection compared to a regular x stick groove or even the original Groove Wedge.
I do think the price could he a bit lower, especially for the Mundo, even compared to used Yamaha Groove and Cascara wedges they are still quite expensive.
That third set of grooves was tasty.
thanks so much
Dankeschön Knorri, sauber getrommelt und gecheckt!
Danke fürs Anschauen😊👍
Nice playing! I actually came up with an idea like that Mundo thing in my imagination where I could play the side of the floor tom & not hurt it. I didn’t know anyone actually made one, though! I’m gonna search for it online now & order one if I can
thank you! Yes it's basically the relaunch of the Yamaha Groove Wedge & Cascara Wedge. These have some copper inlays which the older ones did not have.
It looks like this one goes lower than the cascara wedge, which is good- more playing area. It’ll work on a 14” floor, right? I think yours was on a 16”
@@JaxonHaze it covers 17,5cm (6,89 inches) of the drum. The mounts can be adjusted to fit different size drums. So it will fit a 14" floor tom as well. in the ad it says 14"-18" floor toms. I have it on my 16", correct.
Thanks so much for the info! I’m gonna order one today
I was wondering if this might work as a stick saver for rimshots on an A&F snare? The rim just shreds sticks if rimshotting, seems like this might work if it’s not too tall? Thoughts?
Great last name, too! ❤
Hi Knorr-Brother ;-) I didn't check that out actually; playing Rimshots on it. It wobbles a tiny little bit because it's mounted with 2 bolts and 2 rubber rings to the aluminum hooks. So it might not be sturdy enough to withstand the impact of rimshots. I personally only use it on 13" or smaller Snaredrums. For my 14" Snaredrums (which are fittet with Aluminum DieCast Hoops) the difference in sound is not big enough.
Not in pressesed
No problem, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Thanks for watching
