- In this video we discuss and identify the vintage Vitro Agate Tiger Eye marbles variations. We also look at Vitro Easter Eggs other collectable vintage Vitro marbles from the Vienna factory and Parkersburg factory, both located in West Virginia.
Examples of Tiger Eyes, Easter Eggs, Fancy Tiger Eyes (aka Exotic Conquerors), Wedding Cakes, Yellow Jackets, Aquamarines, Buttermilks, Opals, Biscuits and Gravy, All-Reds, Blue Devils, Neon Conquerors, and Pea family marbles are included. We will show a few examples of modern Marble King marbles that are sometimes misidentified as Vitro Agates.
The Vitro Agate Company was in operation in Vienna, West Virginia from 1932 to 1945 and in Parkersburg, West Virginia from 1945 to 1987. They were among the most productive and successful glass toy marble companies in the U.S.A. The company later relocated to Anacortes, Washington under different management. The company was eventually bought by JABO marbles company.
Thank you to Linda Moore Simmons, Kathy Huggins, Ron Shepherd and Don Miller for research and photography assistance.

Beautiful collection Thanks for the Education of marbles Thanks Again The Hernandez Family Colorado.
I absolutely love your videos! You've made identification a breeze and do so in such an entertaining way, its really helped me with my collecting. Soon ill be able to sort my childhood collection of 2000+ marbles that I built up as a kid going to yard sale with my mom, Im sure I have some goodies in there even if im no where near West Virginia lol
Thanks Alyssa I’m glad the videos help ! Good luck sorting your marbles!
Thank you Stephan for once again an amazing video! You are definitely a master teacher. You always make my day, your knowledge and displays are priceless! Just helped a 97 year old client of mine move her attic belongings into storage. Wow! I found a vase filled with marbles and yellow silk flowers. She gave them to me. Saw ghosts, Ravenswood, Root beer floats, lots of killer vintage. Cant wait till your next video
Your friend Michael in bone chilling Rancho Mirage! Boy 88' degrees today🤣. My hummingbirds are in full force! 🥳👍Take Care!
I had no idea so many stories could be told with marbles! Keep rocking!
I love that abrupt equatorial divide. Very distinctive.
Yes, really sharp looking marbles !
I enjoyed watching your video. Thanks for sharing, Stephen.
Hey Stephen I’m a loyal watcher of your videos. I’ve watched each one upwards of fifty times and accumulated so much knowledge and I just wanted to say thank you for putting the content out there. I’d LOVE to see a video on the later Peltier rainbos and some of the more rare color combos. Maybe even a little NLR vs Rainbo section in there to help new collectors out. They are starting to become quite collectible!
Hi Derbert thank you for tuning in ! I appreciate it. Yes I need to get back to Peltier at some point . It’s just a matter of time ✅
The green lavender and powder blue marbles.. oh wow. The tiger eye style. Some amazing 😻 marbles here!!

Thanks again for another great video. I have several of the caramel colored ones, but was uncertain what they were.
@@stephenbahrmarbles I have so many marbles that I have collected over many years that I wish you could or would have a look at. I know I have some hard to find, rare, and quality marbles. Life has just taken a drastic turn in 2021 and thinking it might be time to let at least some of them go. Your videos are great and I have watched them all numerous times over. Thanks for them and thanks for your reply. My name is Dean by the way and im a collector from Colorado
Hi Stephen! Thank you for another well put together video. Huge learning curve for me, but your videos shed the light needed to level up with knowledge. Much appreciated! Apparently I found a few nice Vitro in yesterday's haul. One was very apparent as the colors were easily distinguished as being harder to find. Blue, yellow, and brown. The others are posing a challenge as to their place in your # grid breakdown. I trust ill figure this out though. Your videos are a huge help. Thank you and keep up the excellent work.
@@stephenbahrmarbles its a definite challenge. My girlfriend just less than an hour ago identified a Vitro...I said type one, type two, type....she just sighed and continued her search.
Hello again Mr Bahr.
I wanted to share with you,
I found an old cats eye boulder but I saw what I though may be a bug of some type inside the marble. When I shined a bright light on it, it looks like a large chunk of gold, sparkly flake of some type that fell into the marble while being made? It is old and hand made. Very interesting and I cant wait to discover what it really is.
@@stephenbahrmarbles
Thank you. Yes, the chunk of whatever it may be, is a black hunk with the gold flakes, very shiny
Hi Stephen -- thanks for another outstanding video. I now have a renewed appreciation for Vitros. Off topic -- I wonder if you might be able to answer a question for me. I have a light yellow vaseline slag marble, very UV reactive, lots of bubbles. The white swirl occurs deep inside the marble as well as near the surface. Size is about 11/16". I thought it was Akro but it has a lengthy distinctive seam. Maybe you, or one of your viewers, knows if CAC made vaseline slags? Thanks so much for your time.
Thanks again for the content
Thanks for watching John !
Hello my friend ✌️😎 loved the video.. hope your doing well.
I love vitro cats eyes, I have a bunch of them. However, I’ve never known exactly when they were manufactured. Perhaps you said in your video and I didn’t hear. I’m guessing they’re later but is there any idea the time range these were made. Thanks for the awesome videos.
Thank you 😊
Thanks for watching Cindy !
Gah! That sweater! Lol. Let me get my sunglasses! 😂
😂
Alot if my vitros, the ones that have that like limish green baby blue with some grey purple some with orange or redhave alot of like pictures on them. A heart a bird whale lots of a v on them I thinks it neat how they are a machine made that turn out like that, i hope my post made sence, not good at describing or the right terms or words to use.. i wish we could share a picture. I believe some of mine are the type 2 blue white and they limish green color, love the things i see in some, like spotting things in the clouds.. thank you for your time
I don't how many marbles I went through with my slingshot as a kid lol
No doubt, that was a thing to do ! I wish I could have all mine back
Do you do consultation/appraisals? I need some help figuring out which of my marbles I inherited are valuable
Hi Kevin, not particularly but I could probably give you a guesstimate , you could email me at sbahr@scarletknights.com, you will need to take some quality photos and send them to my email,
Awesome vid! Thnx! 🥰
Clear white and pink marbles
Please make a video on peltier banana, I have a very rare color of one
@@stephenbahrmarbles I can identify it as a non fat dark brown banana
@@trievaikenouye7478
Maybye the banana has just been sitting too long! 🤣
Ok,not so funny, but I also have a couple of non fat unusual colored bananas. I bought an old timers entire marblel collection and I'm finding out that this collection is awsome! Lots of great treasures in the collection! Stephen's Bahr's videos have helped me out so much with the research. He has reignited my passion for marbles. I never knew that the history of them could be so fascinating! Hes probably getting sick of me asking him questions by now! 🤣
He always responds back though, he definitely has a passion for marble world.
I pulled out over 100 really beatiful bananas and like you I found a couple of truly unusual colored ones. 2 days ago I went back through all my cats eye boulders and I have one in there that has something trapped inside the marble. It looked like a bug, but when I shined a bright light into the marble it was a big chunk of black something, but it was loaded with very shiny gold flakes! It is a very cool and bizarre marble for sure! It's going up on my display shelf for sure!
Marble people are awsome!!!
Those aren't Fancy Tiger eyes, they are Exotic Conquerors...
I don't have any of these yet.
You’ll probably run into these soon, type 2 and 3 are very cool !
😊❤😊
