I'm from the Quad Cities on the Illinois side of the Mississippi river, just a few miles from the old John O'Donnell Stadium in Davenport, IA that's now called, Modern Woodmen Park where the Quad City River Bandits play. Crazy to see that banner hanging in the background Dave because even though they brought the River Bandits as the team name back in 2008 to the present, that banner is from the River Bandits from '92-'03! That's really awesome that you have that!!!
Regarding your restaurant analogy, it's true that there are different restaurants because we don't all like the same food. But it's also true that there are different restaurants because many people like to have different foods on different days. My wife and I have our one favorite restaurant, our regular spot. But sometimes we just want to go someplace else for different food and atmosphere.
Dave, you and Ron are great for the community of sports sims/tabletop sports games, i enjoy your content and the Digital to Dice podcasts...i grew up playing APBA baseball and i enjoy that game a lot but i started playing Strat-O-Matic baseball in 2009 and i think my desert Island game would be Strat baseball, i love the 3 games in one box packaging that they use and really enjoy the basic and also the Advanced...so give me that game and my cards and i might forget I'm the only one on the island lol 😆⚾🎲🎲🎲 thanks again for the chats:)

My “Payoff Pitch” is APBA Hockey. I’ll play it and love it and the obstacles won’t bother me. Then they’ll start bothering me and I have to put it away. And what you do with running in Payoff Pitch I do with its ODAI. I’ll make up my mind that I’m using the instructions version play that way for a while then I’ll decide I don’t like it and use the Berger. System or another mod. I’m back and forth with it.
Tribalism is at the core of human wiring. It explains why people enjoy shared passions. Unfortunately, short-sightedness is also fairly common at the core of humanity - explaining those who feel compelled to trash “the other”. 🤷🏻♂️
You miss the point. Opinions are fine but don't mistake opinions for facts. If someone likes vanilla instead of strawberry ice cream fine but don't say strawberry ice cream isn't ice cream. You can point out facts without attacking opinions or the messenger. Facts are fair game.

Stubborness is real in this hobby. Not sure why they decide they need to "take down other games" because it just screams jealousy.
