Halsey did and does an amazing interpretation of the song.

It's not really a fair comparison is it?
Halsey has a whole band and production. Allie has just her guitar. This song really needs a strong base line.
I think this is Allie's first shot at it. She has the voice for it. Just needs to get comfortable with the nuances of the song. Sometimes in this the cadences are different from the original, but Allie is a swift learner, and will figure that out in one or two more performances. I have seen this with her with other songs.
@@mikthe2004 so his ideal version requires an orchestra, your ideal version requires a bass line? My ideal version would be if she'd practised this more. Had the lyrics down, not adjusting a phone during the song, and trying to decide if she's plucking or strumming. Allie you have an amazing voice, full of colour and it's totally unique and yours. You didn't need any music at all for this.
Agree. Just doesn't fit her style. There are many amazing covers by Allie, but this one isn't meant to be.

The fact that that little boy in the orange shirt knows this old song way before his time because of a tv show is absolutely amazing. The show literally brought the song back to life after so many years.

She can sing, but referring to "great guitar playing", maybe listen to Plini, Guthrie Govan, Steve Vai, Glen Campbell, David Gilmour, Tommy Emmanuel (or singing guitar players: James Hetfield, Devin Townsend, S.R. Vaughan) etc. first :D

This wasn’t my favourite Kate Bush song, and I doubted I would like it when I saw that Aliie was doing a version. But I couldn’t have been more wrong, this is absolutely amazing. All due respects to the incredibly talented Kate Bush, but Allie’s superlative strong vocals in the latter part of the song took it into the stratosphere and I am now convinced that there is virtually nothing that Allie cannot do 👏👏👏👏👏

So glad ST has introduced this wonderful Kate Bush song to a new generation. While no one will ever match the quality of original version as far as I’m concerned, this arrangement by Allie was masterful and showcases the full range and power of her voice. Well done!

I agree with many of the other commenters. This is a tough song to cover, because Kate Bush's voice is so unique and she sings with such passion. Did it justice and used your vocal skills to make it sound like your own.
