    HANNAH, 24, from Michigan, describes her unique look as a 'Scene Queen', who loves everything 'pink, blue, cheetah print and Hello Kitty!' Hannah feels her most confident when she is dressed in her Scene aesthetic as she feels 'invincible and could conquer anything in the world', but despite the confidence this gives her, Hannah's parents do not feel the same way... Hannah told Transformed: "Growing up my parents did not understand my aesthetic at all, they thought I was just a creep or a freak." Sadly, Hannah also gets judgement from the outside world as well as at home, but this does not stop her from dressing the way that makes her truly happy. She said: "I do get judged a lot, especially online. Some of the comments I get are: 'why would you do that to yourself?' or, 'you have such a beautiful face, why are you ruining your features?' But it's my body so I dress the way I want." Today, Hannah is stepping completely out of her comfort zone and with the help of makeup artist Robbin, she is transforming from her 'Scene Queen' look to a 'Supermodel-inspired' look. Hannah's parents have wanted her to dress a different way for many years, so how will they react after finally getting what they've always wanted? Will they prefer Hannah's new look or realise that they've actually loved her 'Scene Queen' style all along?

    I need to say it because not many have stated this. I see sooo many people in the comments talking about how much the parents don’t accept her or love her for who she is no matter what. Yet when she came out looking beautiful in a conventional look, both her best friend’s and boyfriend’s insecurities were plain to see through their reactions. Not a single ounce of support from either of them telling her that she looks beautiful even with a different style that their not used to, just a bunch of negative comments about saying they prefer the other version of her better. Insecurities and jealousy is a nasty thing and she needs to find a better best friend and boyfriend!

      @EtherealElise 17 днів тому +26

      @@jessi333xp exactly! You could even tell that even though the parents weren’t too fond of her original look and preferred the new one, that they still love her regardless because that’s their daughter. But the bsf and bf couldn’t even compliment her out of jealousy of how beautiful she looked in a different style showing her natural beauty! You could even tell there was a part of her that thought it looked nice too when she said “I look like a lawyer!” but as soon as she went out and got those reactions it think it made her feel like she didn’t look good in it and second guess herself and how she previously felt. If these people only want to be with her because of her looks then that’s really shallow and fake on both ends. Makes me so sad and upset that she surrounds herself with people like that..💔

    I absolutely know why the mom cried when she saw Hannah, because with all the piercings (especially the nose ring) and makeup style you couldn’t really see her absolutely stunning face that well. I know that the transformed look has heavy makeup too, but it’s makeup that accentuates her natural features and works with her face naturally.
    I’m all for embracing personal styles, but I also feel like being too extreme with it can take away from you. Like, your accessories wear you instead of you wearing the accessories, you know? Of course people can do what they want, I’m just worried about the reasons why people do it. If it’s just something fun then absolutely do it, but if you’re dressing a certain way because you feel empty without it and other issues are going on, it’s something to be mindful of. That’s just my perspective as someone who used to dress extravagantly to make up for my MDD🤷‍♀️

I do think you have to be careful about other people's reasons why they prefer you to look a certain way: A friend could be jealous of how good you look compared to her. A boyfriend could be trying to tone down your beauty down because he thinks you might be too good for him. A parent could be just trying to regain their little innocent girl. Just being a loving person is enough

    I find the common theme behind so many of these individuals is the concept of hiding behind the tattoos and piercings.
    Many were raised in conservative households, so it could be a middle finger to their family (especially their parents) and others were extremely shy until they took on a different persona.
    The psychology behind it is quite interesting.

Now you have weirdos with blue hair on every urban block that tell you that you're wrong for having a different political view and throw tantrums when you try to enlighten them. If majority of society is telling you to be one way, but you feel happiest the way you tell yourself, why does it matter? If you don't know when you're going to just kneel over and die tonight (which could happen at ANY point because our hearts can literally just stop..) why do I give a crap what anyone thinks of me? Cosmetics are temporary, living in the moment is as well. I stopped caring about what people think after I realized, I'm never going to meet 99% of the people I pass by again. I could literally get into a car crash tomorrow because of some drunken asshole. So genuinely, believing in this acceptance of other people's opinions who don't give a shit about you, is dumb. I don't care if you dressed in big poofy 1950's dresses, I don't care if you dress in skimpy 90's dresses. I stopped caring about people's looks because at the end of the day, the only person you can care about most is yourself when you have no one else. That's coming from someone who has no one else besides my fiancé, and when he passes, I have nothing besides myself. YES! You CAN be a lawyer!! You are a smart compentent young lady! I agree I'm not a fan of the dress either but she came out looking stunning. I admire her confidence to do what she wants but I'm personally sad she does not feel comfortable in her skin and chooses instead all of these extensive body modifications and piercings. I hope she's happy either way but I think once she has a more low-maintenence laid back style she will be genuinely happier. Obviously I dont know her and I am not trying to judge her. This is constructive criticism. She didnt like being only seen for her natural beauty so she rebelled and opted for these styles that cover her looks. She has a sweet personality and that is what matters most. A kind heart. I also have a bunch of tattoos but just one eyebrow piercing on my face. Not even a nose piercing. But Ive never gone that overboard. To each their own. Whatever floats her boat. Now that I just gave birth to a baby boy I would be crushed if I had a daughter who said "It's no more me" when she is literally looking at her bare natural self. She is probably insecure. Which is normal all of us are insecure about something. I am a new mom and say this with good intentions not to bring anyone down. I'm turning 25 soon and its wild how motherhood has changed my mentality for the better and Ive learned to be okay with the body God gave me. Btw to her loved ones who prefer her current day to day style that she's had for the past decade now (I think) she still has the matching tattoos and loves you just the same its ok if she doesn't look like the same scene emo princess if she chooses to evolve her style one day! Im sure you all know that and want the best for her too. She said she can't wait to put all the piercings back on her face but I'm glad she's at least open to the idea of being natural once in a while! Not all change is bad! It can be a very positive step in the right direction going out of your comfort zone. 🤗✨️💕🥺

    I feel like she covered herself up to overcome some kind of trauma, maybe in the family given her parents reaction to her looking “as her old self”. We carry the faces of all those who came before us and help make us who we are today, so covering that to such an extent signals you are not at peace with your past. I am all for body mods but not when it comes to the face, so I definitely prefer the face of “after”, but hey, to each their own. I hope she overcomes whatever is holding her back.

    • @Linaelinaeya

      Exactly. People are too sensitive nowadays. They want something/ really like something because they think it’d fit them, and they think that’s their whole personality. Most of what she’s done are pretty risky the corneal inking, the nose ring, all the piercings. People these days don’t think about what they are compromising in the name of their preferences.
      Bleaching your hair isn’t good. Even make up isn’t good. We already have enough PFAs in our body. And they willingly prefer to put them on their whole life time. One thing is women are hugely manipulated big time to put in those stuff made with “natural” ingredients. Which of most have very very harmful contents. And I can assure they do not care about you at all, even the gov supports because they get their fair share for keeping their mouth shut.

    It's one thing when someone just likes a certain look or style. But when she said she covers up(has tattoos) for protection.....that didn't feel like just a stylistic choice anymore.
