EMMA Vogt loves neon colours. Describing her look as rave goth, the DJ mixes spikes, PVC, black clothing and accessories with neon elements to create her look. Emma also owns a jewellery business where she designs accessories that match her style too. Today, she is being transformed into a ‘beach babe’ look with the help of a makeup artist, Caly. Emma surprised herself with how much she enjoyed it. She said: “I wasn’t expecting it to look this good.” But will her husband and friend love it too?

Yeah I’ve been alternative most of my life since I was 13/14 and I’m 34 now and everyone tells me at first I seem intimidating or like I would be mean but as soon as they get to know me I’m super sweet and one of the nicest people they ever met ❤ of course I don’t let people walk all over me but that’s a good thing 😅 but my style changes most of the time I’m alternative with a lot of black or red but I can rock a cute pink dress and enjoy it and my music taste is interchangeable 😂 some of the sweetest people I’ve ever met are alternative and some of the meanest I’ve met are what people consider “normal” and vice versa I’ve met some mean alternative people too who think they’re better than anyone who isn’t as “alternative as them” and stick their noses up at you and sweet “normal” people but I don’t think anyone is truly “normal” if you know what I mean we all can be a little different and were all unique in our own way ❤

Very true. I think because we know what it feels to be outsiders and aren't going to judge or bully anyone. Like if you go to a horror convention, everyone there looks scary and crazy but they're all super friendly and welcoming.

This is by far the best transformation I have ever seen on this channel. The person who did her look was so incredibly talented and thoughtful with every single thing chosen and the end result was amazing. I am a weirdo normally myself and definitely prefer her before but I was so pleasantly surprised by how great she looked in her transformation. Kudos to her artist!

This is one of the best transformations I have seen. The makeup goes with her skin tone perfectly. The lip color is not too light and not too dark.

In this particular instance, I was speaking to the fact that lots of the comments were expressing surprise that she'd go back to her neon goth look because she was so, let's say, conventionally attractive in her "beach babe" look. My point was that for her, THAT was the costume, not the neon green extensions and white facepaint. I was observing that people don't need to conform to any beauty standards but their own. Which, let's be honest, you are absolutely aware of. But nice straw man argument there I guess?

I think she looks more interesting and unique with her "neon goth look." She looks basic in the new style. And she said at the end it was fun dressing up but her neon goth style is more what feels like her and she's gonna go back to it.
Having a specific look you work hard to maintain lets you define your identity, whereas going light on makeup and wearing whatever’s trendy, even if you’re an 11/10, doesn’t really tell people who you are.

You have to consider that her appearance isn't just a look for her, it's a lifestyle. It's probably a look he rarely sees, and definitely not the level of a professional make up artist would be able to do.
I'm sure he does, but probably never seen her with toned down makeup, a common hair color and preppy beach walk clothes. Btw, I have no idea why YT reccomended this vid to me, it's not related to anything I usually watch or search for😁

Could see from the start she had good bome structure etc. Also hubby and friend also probably see her without makeup a fair amount. What i loved about the video was just everyones positivity. She was open to the experience , and hubby and friend were supportive, positive and honest. I felt the look was super commercial - lile something put together for a magazine rather than for an individual person. In that sense, while its attractive, its also a bit boring. I love how she was just like: hey, I'm gonna tey on this style and this will just br a fun thing i do, because most people that have extreme looks really struggle to deal with that sort of massive, sudden change. All i can say is I'm seeing positive, well-balanced, healthy people in this video and that made it fun to watch. ❤

She’s like a walking advertisement for her brand. She almost can’t change her look 😂 looks great though. You don’t always have to completely change your look but could incorporate elements from this look with your own. Like less face makeup and still wear black and spikes

Natural is Real; the rest is imagination. I believe the goth look should be for going out and business but have one's natural look for the every day. If the self can't handle its natural look as being 'home' then there is a problem, even if one isn't aware of it. Emma is gorgeous. Period.

I wear scleral (hard gas permeable) contacts because I have to, and it took me two years to finally get used to them. To wear it for style is crazy to me!

I was surprised they didn't change her nails for the beach look. They used a wig installed of changing her hair. This is definitely made so they can immediately go back to their usual look. She liked how she looked but felt like a fish out of water. I'm not surprised she went back to her usual look.

Her “friend” probably hates the fact that she not only kills the goth rave girl look but also kills the all natural look. I agree as much as I love goth makeup, I’ve seen how they hate the girls who are naturally beautiful and encourage them to keep doing more extreme shit. Such as shaving their head or getting a giant nose ring. Anything to bring them down to their level.

This is why as a goth I keep it pretty soft. Black clothes but a touch of colour. Corset but natural hair colour. A cat eye flick but red lips not black. I love a touch of corpse paint for special occasions though! Most of us are pretty casual about it.

While she looks beautiful as a “beach babe” she doesn’t “match” and not that it doesn’t work I can feel that while she herself thinks it looks great you can tell that it’s not her and she does look beautiful but like her friend said it’s not her element and it’s very noticeable.
