I got some really good results on the tk hi float this year just waking it in mode A. Something about it just makes these northern fish come unglued. But again northern fish crush swimbaits.
So I have a DRT TK and a K9 and the concept of the baits are cool, but I just don't get the results I thought I would from the baits. IDK, just not what I thought they would be.
Hey brother to be honest, I feel it is not a beginner bait, yes you can just crank with lip in and go but , it has so many cool ass things it can do, it's a bait that you need to keep in your hand and learn, I promise you that it will produce, there's nothing out there than compares
Looked like fluro line. If so, how heavy was he using and what's the pros/cons on a top water like that? I usually run 50-100# braid with a 18inch long 20-30# fluro leader on bigger/heavier topnwaters as the heavier fluro tends to keep the front hooks from fouling up, but I'm always looking for other options.
I’ve seen guys run as little as 13lb floro but I personally run 16 for pretty much all my big swimbaits. For wakes I’m not making many bomb casts to where the weight of the floro messes with the action.
Hey Gents, when fished in heavy wood cover. Switch to single hooks and above weed beds. The rod tip is the control. You reduce foul hooks and the hook up ratio is not reduce. Tight lines!!
Had a joy thief k9 and could not for the life of me get anything to even follow it. Literally looks like every forage fish we have in Wisconsin. Put on a pro blue k9 and can’t keep them off it. Makes no sense to me. Crystal clear water. Various pressures on different lakes. Great color.
It’s good to have you Back!!! 😊
😊😊😊😅😅u😊

They're not miracles - but they are crazy effective when used properly at the right times. Holler if you ever have any questions.

Yo, is that a Shimano Exsence DC reel? What about that rod? Thanks
Mike uses DRT rods. Another great option for the Tiny Klash is the Destroyer P5 Mark 56.
Would a curado 200dc match well for the tiny klash and even the k9?
That’s literally what he is using

I use 18

One of the things I like do, I use Loop knot. Instead of a spilt ring or swivel.
Thank you Mike for the breakdown and great job Geoffrey with camera 👏👏👍
