Out of all the great battle tracks in this game, this section hits me the hardest. It plays a lot in the 3rd area when you still think that these kids have to last for 14 hours against a constantly evolving threat. The scene where Okino tells Hijiyama that, based on his calculations, there's no way they can win, and yet they continue to fight on to me sums up how emotionally affecting this music is. The strings have this beautifully hopeless swell to them, but they keep going on.
You reminded me of this and it makes the song even better. The fact it plays when you think they'll have to be fighting for 14 hours non-stop and they are READY for it. I'd alternate between fighting and following the story, so I'd be seeing everyone's "resolve" as their stories ended and then come to this. Best song in the game.
I live and die for the little high pitched beepy solo part. I don't even know how to explain it, but it's my favorite part of the entire soundtrack. Thanks for this version. The original OST cuts off so drastically after it and the branched version omits it almost entirely.
I love the beepy part too. For me I also really love the whirring sound that comes at the same time/after the beeping part about just as much(not sure how to describe it, so I'm not sure if you know the part I mean haha)
A real shame that this game was basically ignored by most people. The best fiction story I have ever experienced. I hope this game finds its way to the Switch. Feels like like Japanese games sell way better on Switch than any other console.
I don't think japanese games sell better on switch. Otherwise, they would have released this game on pair with the ps4 version, not a year and a half later. Same goes for Falcom games, for example. Or ports that took years to arrive on Switch. Overall, PS4 has a better catalogue for japanese games and sell more software in general.
@@Play_Dreams i also wouldnt call that fair, the games been out for a year and half meaning most bought it on ps4 thinking it was the only version, why would they get another full priced game It would have been a fairer example if both released at the same time or a month apart
I bought this game on a whim, I was not prepared for the emotional damage
"All the parts of our daily lives... Are being left behind..." Fuck, that line hit me real hard, god damnit Juro
"Are ya winning, Juro?"
Juro, currently running circles around his downed Sentinel waiting for it to reactivate: "No Megumi, I am not winning."

Flooding the stage with missiles in a last resort move against the endless tides
You know a games soundtrack is good when people make extensions for one part of a song

@@mattasaurs I know what you mean!!! Niceee
That part is just pure eargasm. When I first heard it in game I was like "damn this game is amazing". One of my best purchases for sure.
Was my game of the year without question. Sends chills listening to this. Now have to find a maxi poster, frame it and add to my mancave
Game of the century for me

And Switch version flop in Japan Only 20k. So that’s False. PS4 sold half million.
@@Wolf-fy6uj It has only been like a week or two. Wouldn't call it a flop just yet.
