I just bought a kona Ltd awd sight unseen (delivered in a few days 😃) based on other reviews I've seen, but YOUR review covers things none of the others did and now I'm REALLY EXCITED to get my car! ☺️
Just picked up my Kona Preferred two hours ago and this detailed and clear explanation is outstanding. This should be the MODEL for Kona cars at Hyundai all across dealers.
Wow- most detailed review on this car I’ve seen. Thanks so much for your added detail and taking the time to complete a thorough interview. Appreciate it.
Currently driving my 2nd Kona, a 2022 Limited FWD. Leased a 2019 prior, and would definitely lease again next year a 2025 Kona Limited. I love the self-park feature! I can see myself freaking out neighbors by standing in the driveway, while the Kona parks itself into the garage. Probably get AWD (still living in NJ) but don't think EV on my horizon at this point. Inside is fantastic! Hope I can afford the payments next year, or else we're looking at buying out my current lease. If dealers keep adding junk fees and markups, I'm done!
@Steve_in_NJ some dealerships in Jersey are still marking vehicles up unfortunately, but I’m at a Central Jersey Hyundai dealership and we don’t add anything. I’d be happy to help you out when you’re ready.
love the car! my only gripe is the huge plastic bits on the outside and the lights integrated into the bumper, they could integrate the turn signals and brake lights into the lightbar
Love the pacing and the length of your review. Most reviews rush through it to cut down on video time. I prefer the lengthy, detailed review that you have here. Thank you for that.
Mike this was a Brilliant review/walk around. I picked up this exact model in white last week and absolutely lov it, really kind of a technological marvel, with that comes a owner/operator learning curve and this video was a huge help, Thank you!
A much better car than before. More features and tech. 8.3 inches of ground clearance will help in snow. I would consider buying one. Just wish it had better mpg.
best kona review 👌 yet very specific for the given trim. I feel like an expert on this trim now thanks to this video. I bought my 2024 Kona 3 days ago, and my dealer didn't even know half of any of this stuff. I had to explain it to him 😅
This was so well done 👏 I absolutely love how detailed your reviews are! I watch each one multiple times so I don't miss anything haha. Question: Will you be doing an AT NIGHT review for the 2024 Kona Limited? Thanks for everything you do and the stellar content 💯
@@MikesCarInfo I hope so, good luck! I can't wait to see it! I think I'm going to pull the trigger on a Mirage Green Limited one...I haven't bought a new vehicle since 2010 and this one seems like it has everything me and my family need. Thanks for helping me make that decision!
So I'm contemplating FWD or AWD. Though I live in Michigan I rarely have a need for AWD. So I'm leaning towards saving $1,500 & gaining 3 mpg. What are your thoughts?
Hi, Mike, You took time a long in this review I like that because you explained everything about this Hyundai Kona This is my third video watching a review of this car I got it because you explained it very succinctly however your accent is incredibly understandable Furthermore Hyundai did a great job to redesign to this car than a previous generation we can see a lot improvement overall this car and looks beautiful we can understand Hyundai would've simulated seats some places provide monotonous like doors I liked this car 1.6 turbocharged direct injection all-wheel drive making 190 hp and 195 pound-feet of torque this a best car thanks mike
I'm surprised is not covered underneath. Great car though. Amazing review. I also like that white Crosstrek in front of you. That's an amazing car straight to the point.
Thank the gods. We've finally graduated away from glossy black interior plastics. Only took 5yrs. Exterior of this looks like ass. Interior is MUCH better than current offerings.
Exterior personal preference, I like the look. Certainly way better than the ugly Pontiac Aztec or the Buick Rendezvous of years past. Jeez they were horrible!
I'm getting used to it, but agreed. I wish it was a bit more premium feeling like it should in order to give a good vibe about the vehicle you are about to step into. I wish it was a digital screen key being that it's the top trim, would be nice too if it had some sort of indicator light showing after using remote starter from indoors that the vehicle is indeed on or not.
I am assuming Hyundai is trying to get us to really use the BlueLink app on our phones instead of the key fab, since it shows the details. I guess it does feel a bit more luxurious and premium when someone sees us controlling the car with our phone instead of a key.
@thecalendarninja Bluelink is pretty much sealed the deal for me. I have an aftermarket solution similar to bluelink in my soul, and it wasn't cheap or as functional as the factory option. The tech is why I got the 24 limited with every option available.
I love funky looking cars, they have character and that is something lacking from many of the mainstream cars. We might look at one of these later this summer.
@robertsnyder6584 What was the purpose??? ALL models are going to have that ugly cladding... except for the N-line. The cladding makes the car look cheap and tanky😔
@solutioninsearchofaproblem2402 it makes it look aggressive and different . All these other car company's copy each other with the same bs boring designs . At least hyundai is trying. Honda , subaru , Toyota gave up years ago..
@robertsnyder6584 Hyundai blows them out of the water with technology alone. I'm going to purchase the limited, but I intend to paint the cladding. I was really going to purchase the N-line because I hate the cladding so much 😮💨
The window openers on my 2019 are a bit clunky and the windows do move very quickly. Compared to say a Mercedes or Audi which are more smooth and the buttons a bit less sharp. Windows still works fine though.
I was ready to go buy this vehicle until I found out that the heated steering wheel and seats don’t heat up with command start. It’s a must in Canada lol. Also, no power lift gate
Haven’t watch as much UA-cam as I use to Mike….I’m back😁. Nice Review on KONA LIMITED…..I’m in a VW Taos & do like it, but thinking on the KONA in my next lease.
I love the look and handling of the sport N version but i wish it had at least the ventilated seats that the limited had. Also blind spot monitor is only the limited 😢

Great looking vehicle, but the turbo model weight, pricing, and fuel economy is competitive with just about every other compact class SUV, in spite of it being a subcompact. Doesn't really make sense.
