    Did you use vanilla extract?

    Im going to try to make this for my sons bday and add nuts. Would cake flour make it a softer cake?

    • @cookitupcrystal
      @cookitupcrystal  Місяць тому

      It would have a more tender crumb

    Are you using room temperature wet ingredients?

    • @cookitupcrystal
      @cookitupcrystal  3 місяці тому

      Eggs, vinegar, dye and oil are. Buttermilk isn’t room temperature but also not straight out the fridge. Its set out about 10 minutes

    What’s another sweet cream to use or what’s the exact creamer you use if you don’t mind please?😊

    • @cookitupcrystal
      @cookitupcrystal  3 місяці тому

      You can use heavy whipping cream or even milk, but you may want to taste the frosting after adding it and see if it’s sweet enough or if you need more vanilla extract. I use liquid vanilla creamer, specifically international delight.

    Can too much cocoa make it a dark red? I think thats what made my cake dark red. Another recipe called for 2 teaspoon of cocoa, and you used one!

    • @cookitupcrystal
      @cookitupcrystal  Місяць тому +1

      Yes. The more cocoa the darker the red
