very informative video, thanks for documenting our traditional ways of cooking and preparing dishes and drinks,,,,i also love how Tela is not rushed, the fermentation takes its full course naturally and no additives are added,,,,, i love how communal are homes are, we share tools and devices with our ጎረቤት (neighbors), we also use the big pot and stick for grinding cereals here in South Africa, in Zulu we call it umgigo nengiga
Gotta watch this soon. This is the real craft beer 😂 You know Tela is the real stuff cause you don’t get hangover from it. Wish I could make it here but you can’t find gesho and grawa 😂
Tela nafeken😋...I can recall the enkuro and gesho smells from my childhood its all coming back to me watching this video...abet jegnit gobez nesh well done 💕💕
Great video, as usual! However, I would like to caution you against using plastic for cooking, whenever possible. It has been shown to cause cancer, hearing loss, and to have a very negative effects on the nervous system.
You have a winning recipe! Is this something kept around, I suppose in a refrigerator, and taken with food? Or is it only made around holidays, for guests and family. I like the idea of smoking the ingredients to give it a taste. Another reason for a trip to Ethiopia!
@@fevenghirmay3851 Thanks, Feven. I used to visit my grandmother on the farm in Illinois, USA, when I was a boy. She made very good beer. She was from Pilsen in the Czech Republic. So nice to see Habesha Traveler carrying on a fine kitchen tradition in her home.
