    Bought the titanium Skyhawk over a year ago. LOVE IT! Wear it everyday. Has everything I could want.

    I just ordered this watch yesterday and it is on it’s way to my home and I cannot wait until I can get my hands on it. I love Citizen watches.

    I just bought the Titanium version and received it about three days ago... It's an amazing watch, I really like it. The biggest bonus, when I took it out of the box it automatically set the time. Otherwise I'd never would had figured out how to set the time on this thing lol :D

    I am happy to see someone else added metal bracelet to Navihawk. I had mine like that a few years ago and since sold it. Regret doing so, needed the money. Watch was heavy and wore Apple Watch more.

      I sold both of these too. Great watches and I do miss them, but I can't keep hundreds of watches. I like to look at it as handing these off to the next person that can really appreciate them.

    I really like the black Navihawk. I only see it with the rubber strap. Looks awesome with the bracelet!

    Great video, that citizen navihawk titatium with positive display is a great piece. It actually does not seems as big as I thought it was. Thanks for sharing

    Nice comparison video. Both are appealing to me as well. I also agree with you about the weight and the black and orange watch is a little too busy for me personally. I appreciate the good video and the time you put into it. I did end up going with the titamium model.

    Great job swapping that strap on the black one.

    I have two Citizen Skyhawk watches, and they're slightly different. They not only have the rotating bezel on the outside, whereas on the Navihawk A-T, the bezel rotates on the inside via the 8 o'clock crown. The Skyhawks also use a U600 movement, not the U680 found in the Navihawk A-T. My Skyhawks also have positive displays, whereas my Navihawk A-Ts have negative displays. In terms of operation, setting, changing modes, etc. the Navihawk A-T is similar to the Skyhawk.

    Homeboy, either turn auto focus off, or get rid of the grid mat in the background that your camera is inevitably trying to focus on when it gets the slightest chance.

      You're 100%. I love that background but it's just the wrong one for vids like this.

    They are not “big watches” they are just fliegers. I have the Navihawk and is my daily. Great watch, fantastic value.

    This is a modern version of the original skyhawk using the same watch mechanicals and cased in super titanium. A very nice watch.
    I have the original titanium skyhawk
    of 25 years ago. Unfortunately, the titanium is not the super version and scratches fairly easily.
    The black watch is, as you said, in ssteel and treated with an IP coating. It is a navi hawk.
    I also have one of these but not in black. It is a ltd ed. red arrows version but all of them use the same
    watch mechanism and are radio controlled and accurate to less than a second a day.
    I agree that the navihawk is a bit clunky because of its size and being housed in ssteel.
    Really, you need to have a large wrist to do it justice, which I have.

    I love the Citizen U680 watches and also have two of them - a big, honking stainless steel Navihawk with a negative display (almost identical to the one in this video, but without the orange accents and with a stock metal bracelet), and a slightly more refined titanium JDM model marketed as a Promaster in Japan with a sapphire crystal and positive display that comes on a calfskin strap. I love them both dearly, even though they are much too big for my tiny wrists 😅
    I am loving the content on this channel by the way 😎

      I'm going to try and keep it up. 90% of the watches I've shown so far, but that's cleared the way to get some newer interesting pieces.

    Nice watches, I have the blue angels version, very similar to the titanium one in this video, but with blue dial and some yellow indexes. I like the external rotating bezel. The other one is too busy, but looks nice with the bracelet in black. The setup is not the easiest, but very similar to my Casio protrek, with the smart crown. Citizen makes great watches. Mine is very accurate even without the radio controlled adjustment. 👍👍

    The times 1:10, 1:20, 2:30 etc on the outer edge of the watch dial face are not tachymeter values. They are simply the inner slide rule minutes values expressed in HH:MM format (70 = 1:10 hrs, 80 = 1:20 hrs, 150 = 2:30 hrs, 180 = 3:00 hrs, etc.). When people do time, speed, distance math, they generally think in terms of hours, not minutes. They say, "it'll take 3 hours to get there", not "it'll take 180 minutes to get there". Without those values on the watch face, you would first have to convert HH:MM to total minutes before doing the math in minute units.

    Nice "overview". Try to get things more in focus.
    Greetings from Sweden. GMT +1
    PS The markings "1:10" etc are for how long distance you travel at 60 mph (or km/h) read on the inner slide rule bezel. For 1:30, 1 hour 30 minutes it is 90 miles (or kilometers)

    The JY8035-04E negative digital display is so hard to read. I wish they sold that watch with a positive display!

    Hi , I have a NaviHawk for a few years now , The rubber band is ok .
    I need to now where did you find the replacement band. Do you have a part number for there band ?
    Thanks

    • @lookatwrist
      @lookatwrist  6 місяців тому +1

      I forget the part number, but there was another similar Navihawk that was a Macy's limited edition. It was black and on bracelet. Search for that. You can order the bracelet direct from Citizen if you contact support.

    i have had both, for me titanium is superior to me, not only in wieght but also feel on skin, i think titanium feels smoother, less irritating.

    • @lookatwrist
      @lookatwrist  Рік тому

      That's definitely true, even Stainless steel has components of its alloy like nickel that can irritate people with an allergy. Maybe you dont have an allergy but it still is nothing compared with hypoallergenic titanium.

    Look up an E6B flight computer and that will answer all your questions about the two outer rings (one rotating and one static). They are used for flying calculations and if you get a pilots license you must learn to use an E6B flight computer. A funny name because an E6B flight computer is really just a piece of cardboard with a spinny wheel and nothing more. A fancy slide rule.

    • @lookatwrist
      @lookatwrist  2 місяці тому +1

      The whiz wheel right? Honestly, that ring is the least complex part of these watches. The movement they use and how it works with both the analog and digital displays was just too frustrating at times. I normally don't need a manual for digital watch, everything is intuitive - I'm a software engineer and taming complexity is a daily activity for me. But these things were not intuitive.
