Try going to Broadway in the Cotswolds you can easily pay £20 for a pint and a glass of wine ! That said its one of the nicest sites and a short walk to a lovely if expensive little town with a Folly on a hill to walk too. Plus there's a Nuclear bunker next to the hilltop folly. :-) Steam train too goes past the site twice a day. I would like to also complement you both on great content, very well edited and produced. Wow, I went to stay at a farm next door to St Patrick's Church at Cemaes Bay when I was a child. How lovely to see you both visit somewhere which is so off the beaten track. My brother and I would fly kites on headland next to that churchyard Very touching….
yes, went back around 7 years back with the family and relived those childhood memories including the walk to the lighthouse you referenced. It was a very special place for my mother and her two brothers as children too who holidayed there. Lovely to see you feature it on such a surprise vlog - never would have thought you two would end up there. I hope you got to see South Stack lighthouse too. Took some milky way shots there too around 9 years back 👍🏻
Thank you so much, I have lived in this area of North Wales for almost 40 years and you have taught me so much about my local history. Now planning a few days out. I once caught seaweed when fishing by the power station, it was night time, when I pulled my line up, the seaweed was crackling with coloured lights, similar to tiny Christmas tree lights. I was told it was because of the warm water pumped out from the cooling system. It was common to catch fish with 3 eyes too.
Another, well put together, informative, witty and dry humoured vid you two. “Bore da” good morning in Welsh. Claire got it right in Llandudno, butter, jam then cream and she got it right again “jennel”. A book of knowledge! Andrews face going through fly screen, class! Happy wandering you two, Steve, over the hill 👍
Never mind Andys envy of Darren's drone,,, he's jealous of your memory,, said he agrees with Claire on the marmalade. The Sunday lunch was missing gravy on the Yorkshire pudding, and the car, we would have said can't park there mate,,, however there was a parking sign there 😂😂😂😂😂 Great vlog again ❤❤
The 20mph on arterial roads is shocking although worse in Flintshire they were more sensible in Conwy, Gwynedd / Anglesey they at least kept them mainly to housing estates etc. Except maybe the road from Llandudno to Rhos-on-Sea where the most fines have been issued in Wales 🤦 our cars aren’t meant to go at that speed over an extended period of time. Loved your vlog it’s great seeing familiar places through someone else’s eyes. You need about 10 more visits just to scratch the surface of what North Wales has to offer. It has such a rich history everywhere. We still haven’t got to Portwen Brickworks although there is a Welsh Arts interactive film set there we saw last year where you get to choose whose story to follow. Keep up the good work.

Hey we are just a few miles away from Cemaes Bay, in Amlwch, Cerrig Man to be exact. Love your channel, you keep it real. We have watched lots of blogs looking for inspiration but struggled to find anything better than we have right here. One thing that lets us down is the weather. Hi I live on Anglesey it’s such a beautiful island isn’t it are you visiting other parts of the island south stack is a beautiful place to visit also the quarry park there is some beautiful walks in the quarry park also a cafe. There is also a place called newry beach you will pass it on the way to the quarry park and then you have the breakwater You also have Llanfair PG it has the longest named railway station in the world it’s a nice quirky little village there is so so much to see on Anglesey the scenery is second to none thank you for visiting our beautiful island Also there is treaddur bay it has a really old big house on a cliff and has been used in many television programmes it is a stunning house.
Really enjoyed the video. We had a couple of days on Anglesey last month as part of a stay in North Wales. Want to return sometime so could you let us know the name of the campsite shown in the last minute of the video please? You may have mentioned it earlier on but if so, I missed it 🙄
Oooh We missed you We were down near Newborough on Anglesey and had fantastic dog walks through the dunes and along the beach. Suffered with winds on Sunday night, but took some chalk tablets and it all subsided!!! Seriously… gusts up to 53mph. Glad we didn’t put the awning up, but very pleased we were on Anglesey, visiting Beaumaris (most expensive beer and bowl of chips ever)
@@Stchristopherofatlantis we managed a bright and rain free dog walk along Traeth Llanddwyn Parked at “the pineapple “ car park (free) with lovely walk to beach. Stayed at fantastic site “Giddy Aunts)” only 10 mins from a beach, so we are going back in November!!! See you there
Hiya really enjoyed your vid Cemaes (Kem ice lol ) is one of my favorites.you're doing well with your pronunciation and delving into welsh history, medieval times in Wales was very game of thronezy, that breakfast was a lot cafes better in Conwy and Edwards deli has best sausages. Have a great time 😊
Only an hours drive from my house and I've only been twice, shame on me! Did spend a very nice week over Easter back in 2006 in Menai Bridge and cycled all over the place. Love your style of videos
An absolutely glorious video Claire and Andy. Angelsey is one of my favourite places in Wales and you visited some of my fave bits of it. Cames Bay as always been one of my fave stopping points on the island as well as Benlech . In regard to Port wen brickworks, its a nigtmare to get down to but an amazing place. I was recently sent someting from my mate Gary to aid my bad knees whic I thougt was some cbd oil or summat and when I opened te box it turned out to be a friend for Viv-i-van in the form of a dji mini pro drone callede Doris. I'm taking inspiration from your ace dronage and going to make sure Viv and Doris bimble together in future and who knows I might get some Andy-esque dronage myself one day..... thats if I learn how to fly her🤣 as ever muchos respectico amigos ( I failed on duo lingo too lol) to you both🙏- Kenny

Hi me again your neighbour in Llandudno. You are spooking me now as I was born near Cemaes. Well enjoy Anglesey. I am there on Wednesday visiting my Dad. Plenty of beaches for sure. Holyhead front is nice but town is a bit run down. Trearddur Bay good. Try sea shanty cafe. Beamaris nice. You can park at Penmon Point nice. Newborough Forest and go see the lovers island llanddwyn. Watch out for naturists. Anberffraw.Sand Dunes.
Hi. Cemaes was lush, we enjoyed it Nipped to Newborough and loved the beach and saw the island. Rain was bad which meant we didn’t see as much as we would have liked. Wales is beautiful
Hellooooo Guy's. We had forgotten how beautiful Anglesey is 😊. Breakfast and dinner whilst out and about who says M/H's don't put back into the local economy 👏 Lovely coastal walk if a little precarious 😮 Good job the bell was on the beach not at the end 🙄. Loving the new merch. For those who can remember, best language school was, mind your language comedy classic. Take care and stay safe as always. Paul and Joanne 👍 ♥️ X. Feeling jealous as we are sat at home watching rain out of the window 🌧 Also can anybody pls help, a bit like the jam and cream, Whats first on fish and chips, Vinegar or Salt 🤔
Hello our faves. Hope you are ok Remember. You do have more holiday than us 😂😂😂😂 Loved Anglesea having never really been. Tell you what though that walk that achieved basically nothing was a humdinger. Even the dogs had had enough. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️
We have a big bell at Morecambe ta da. Felt like a proper hike I definitely wouldn’t have made it. The roast beef dinner looked amazing 10 out of 10 for how looked. Great vlog as always I wonder if the Americans get your banter. Night guys until next time. 😘💕🤗
Good morning in Welsh is bore da. Welcome is Croeso. That's your Welsh lesson for today, and yes I’m from Liverpool and half Welsh half Scot. My partner is a Welsh teacher.
Very good again. Are you planning on trips all the way through winter? If you are you should befriend a frail immobile old lady. You can then get her a blue badge so you can park on double yellows in the center of town. And you can put her in the garage with a bag of worthers whilst you go for your walks, its big enough to pass for a room in a council care home
i was last in anglesey 40 years ago as a kid. with it being a nuclear power station it would pump hot water out in to the sea. the seals loved it. it was big playground for them. was amazing to see.
I went to the remains of ancient village on Anglesey called Din Llygwy. It was very interesting. Anglesey is a beautiful place. It was very wet when I went though

Hello lovely Jan and Will
How is your week so far ❤️👍
Yes we were totally ripped off.
The life boat story was a cracker. ❤️ xx
What is Yaki dah?
Iechyd dda means good health in Welsh.
Yaki dah is how people who can't speak Welsh say it.
I do apologise, lesson learnt. 👍
@@captaincatbeard9565 I’m sorry, lesson learnt 👌

@@Stchristopherofatlantis I meant to say good morning is Bore Da said as bore eh da lol xx
Enjoying your video, sat in our campervan with the rain beating down, at Clumber Park CAMC Site. Living the life 😂
Oooh keep warm. Have a beer 🍻 🚐
@@Stchristopherofatlantis 👍
Really enjoyed the video. We had a couple of days on Anglesey last month as part of a stay in North Wales. Want to return sometime so could you let us know the name of the campsite shown in the last minute of the video please? You may have mentioned it earlier on but if so, I missed it 🙄
The stop was called Gwesty Gadlys Hotel & Touring Park. Really lovely buzz in the pub. Fab views. Hard standing and electric. Good location 👍👍👍
@@Stchristopherofatlantis thank you 👍
Oooh
We missed you
We were down near Newborough on Anglesey and had fantastic dog walks through the dunes and along the beach.
Crikey. That is some wind!!!! 💨
We didn’t make it to Beaumaris, so will definitely return. The rain on Newborough beach for us was horrendous 🫤🌧️
@@Stchristopherofatlantis we managed a bright and rain free dog walk along Traeth Llanddwyn
Parked at “the pineapple “ car park (free) with lovely walk to beach. Stayed at fantastic site “Giddy Aunts)” only 10 mins from a beach, so we are going back in November!!! See you there
Great vlog Andrew x Clair xx
Hi Jill. Thank you 👍👍👍
Hiya really enjoyed your vid Cemaes (Kem ice lol ) is one of my favorites.you're doing well with your pronunciation and delving into welsh history, medieval times in Wales was very game of thronezy, that breakfast was a lot cafes better in Conwy and Edwards deli has best sausages. Have a great time 😊
Hi. Thanks for watching and commenting
We love Wales 🏴 ❤️👍
I find that even being Welsh people are prepared to hate me as they think I am English! Why so?
More Welsh than you bugger**s are.
Nice effort you two.
Cem….ice is the way to say it!
Only an hours drive from my house and I've only been twice, shame on me!
Did spend a very nice week over Easter back in 2006 in Menai Bridge and cycled all over the place.
Love your style of videos
We love that you love the style

Hi. Cemaes was lush, we enjoyed it
Nipped to Newborough and loved the beach and saw the island. Rain was bad which meant we didn’t see as much as we would have liked.
Wales is beautiful
Hellooooo Guy's.
We had forgotten how beautiful Anglesey is 😊.
Breakfast and dinner whilst out and about who says M/H's don't put back into the local economy 👏
Lovely coastal walk if a little precarious 😮
Good job the bell was on the beach not at the end 🙄.
Loving the new merch.
For those who can remember, best language school was, mind your language comedy classic.
Take care and stay safe as always.
Paul and Joanne 👍 ♥️ X.
Feeling jealous as we are sat at home watching rain out of the window 🌧

Hello our faves. Hope you are ok
Remember. You do have more holiday than us 😂😂😂😂
Loved Anglesea having never really been. Tell you what though that walk that achieved basically nothing was a humdinger. Even the dogs had had enough. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️
@Stchristopherofatlantis
Aww, thanks.
🤣🤣, we have to make the most of it before Jo returns to work 🥳.
You needed Dan's help on the walk 😉 X
We have a big bell at Morecambe ta da. Felt like a proper hike I definitely wouldn’t have made it. The roast beef dinner looked amazing 10 out of 10 for how looked. Great vlog as always I wonder if the Americans get your banter. Night guys until next time. 😘💕🤗

Hello, thank you
I have ordered the Skye for myself 😊 but hubby only wears baseball caps ... 😉
Hi. Thanks for ordering ❤️❤️ We are looking into the option of caps 👍👍👍
Good morning in Welsh is bore da. Welcome is Croeso. That's your Welsh lesson for today, and yes I’m from Liverpool and half Welsh half Scot. My partner is a Welsh teacher.
Welsh sounds beautiful. We have enjoyed hearing people speaking it 🏴
We all have a cross to bare :-)
I do not know what it is but whenever I watch one of your vid's your hubby just reminds me of Ricky Gervais ha ha ha
Hi. Andy has been told this loads 😂😂😂
I always see Mathew Kelly. 😂
Tonight Mathew I’m gonna be…..
You can't beat a good bobble hat yaki dah(not the correct spelling) xxxx liz xxx❤❤❤❤❤
Yaki Dah yeee haaa
I'd say the cars a Marcos mini, kit car based on the old Austin mini.
Hi. Someone else has said this….!
Cracking idea 😂
i was last in anglesey 40 years ago as a kid. with it being a nuclear power station it would pump hot water out in to the sea. the seals loved it. it was big playground for them. was amazing to see.
Love this story. Sounds lovely ❤️👍
I went to the remains of ancient village on Anglesey called Din Llygwy. It was very interesting. Anglesey is a beautiful place. It was very wet when I went though
Mega wet this time for us 😂😂😂😂
@@Stchristopherofatlantis 🤣🤣🤣🤣

27:51 The problem with that system for marking the tides is that, with all the ringing, you can't hear the bell end ....
