You are so welcome!
Thank you Karina for another wonderful tutorial. I plan to make this dress, but I only want one tier to fall below my knees. I'm a little confused as to which tier I should use so that I can just lengthen it.
You can just lengthen the long tier. It’s 22.5”
inches long… it’s a rectangle so all you do it add there to have just one skirt piece 😀
@@LiftingPinsandNeedles Wow Karina, thank you so much for replying back to me so soon. You are the best!!
Beautiful dress!!
This is so cute! Great tutorial too. When you did the FBA it looked like you spread the pattern going towards the center front as well. Did I misunderstand this or did you add room there too? If so why did you need to do that? Loved the fabric and yes I agree that rayon is like wearing nothing. A great fabric for summer!
When you spread the pieces apart by 1/2”, the Center front becomes shorter compared to the piece on the side. So that amount needs to be added to the CF. The FBA apart from adding width, it also adds length at CF. If you watch my FBA video, you’ll see it there in more detail.
@@LiftingPinsandNeedles Thank you!
Did you try on the bodice to decide how mucb to shorten the straps?
I always make a quick test bodice with scraps first.
Is this a PDF pattern or a printed pattern Its perfect
Pdf Pattern :)
Could you put a shelf bra in this? I've never put a shelf bra in anything, but I want to put them in everything.
Following. I feel the same way!
I was wondering that too.
I honestly would only put a shelf bra in knit garments. A shelf bra needs needs to be very fitted (negative ease) and necklines in woven garments have positive ease - or else you would not be able to move. Sewing a smaller knit shelf bra to the neckline of a woven dress would make the dress pucker. I’m sure you can find some tutorial online that does this…. But it really will not be from me for the above reasons.
