Taco al pastor is the King of tacos in Mexico City.
JC my favorite are los tacos de suadero
Suadero > Pastor
Mmm king taco restaurant in East Los Angeles
Yes, happy Friday - feliz viernes. I looooove the food. I'm glad you guys show us the food at all the different places. I love tacos, anytime. I keep a comal (grill) from Mexico on my stove all the time. Many times I make quick tacos out of whatever I have, sometimes just cheese and salsa.
Oh that sounds like my kind of taco-geese and salsa!!
I loved the pictures of the nannies!
Boy...tacos al pastor, my favorite tacos, I am salivating. Goyo, seeing you, nanny and granny together was beautiful. It means you love your family and always think of them. Güera looks too serious. Good video guys.
Que bella Abuelita saludos enjoy the delicious foods in Mexico City
wow que lindas señoras🤗you are lucky to have them
My family is from Nochistlan Zacatecas and they have the best tacos of el pastor. And the best churros you will ever have. Plus it’s a beautiful small town with lots of history.

Great job and thanks for sharing the photos of your grandmother and great grandmother, las abuelitas. Your channel keeps pulling in more subscribers, good job.
Thank you so much for your support John!!
I agree with you guys on that people connect better through food because everyone has a special story attached to a particular dish and not everyone is into art.
I love anything al pastor! Glad you've had a chance to try it. Every place has their own version of it
OMG...those tacos looked so delicious... I was impressed by the tacos but I was the most impressed about you and Hillary ability to translate pretty pretty good...congratulations!!!
Aww thank you so much! I am so nervous about my Spanish so I really appreciate your encouragement!!
Hi Greg and Hillary im your fan since PV and im glad how your channel has been getting bigger and better. Thanks for your videos

Hey Greg your Spanish is there. I think you know enough to talk to any one who knows spanish. But I know your motivated to know more. Also I was in Mexico last week for a couple of days and now I’m in the US and I really miss the fresh food there. I’m thinking about it non stop.
Thank you so much for the encouragement. This is Hillary but I will pass your comment along to Greg. He studies a lot and has been practicing so much so thank you for those nice words-they mean so much!

OH MY GOD, you guys are so lucky. That looks soo delicious!!! Great job making my mouth water lol. If you guys go back to UNAM I recommend you go see a concert at the Sala Nezahualcoyotl. The acoustics in that concert hall are absolutely amazing and the prices are super affordable. The MUAC (Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo) is also a great attraction next to Sala Nezahualcoyotl.
It was delicious!!
So Glad to See the progress of Greg at speaking spanish, you did an awesome interview. Hope to have the opportunity to meet you sometime

I want some tacos al pastor now😋saluditos gueros😀
Al pastor cooking came to mexico with the Spanish Conquistadors who brought over Moorish slaves who wold cook meats like shawarma style on rotisseries then also other settlers had Jordanian and syrian workers who did the same. there is also a thing in Mexico called Taco Arabe or Arab Taco that is served with hummus, tahini lamb, beef or chicken, veggies and yogurt dressing on flour tortilla its a great taco.
Enrique
This is one of the first videos I've seen and heard in Spanish that I've been able to almost fully comprehend. Much of this success (I feel somewhat accomplished at the moment) is a result of the inspiration I have found on your channel. Super!
Thank you so much for those nice words of encouragement and support!
Kinetic Kennons You bet! Expect a new Patreon soon. ;)
Uhhhhh looks delicious!!!! Don’t forget the Salsa!!!
Good interview guys 👋 Personally, I love tacos al pastor, but my favorite is taco de suadero 😋😋 Is great to see your grandma at the very end. Well done.
Hi to my favorite couple!!!
Those tacos look good😀 love ur videos like always!!! and have a beautiful weekend y arriba el America⚽
Thank you Connie! Hope you have a great weekend too!
In Zamora Michoacan all taqueros come out at night time, maybe after 6 pm... There is a taquero at almost every corner lol. I forgot to mention something. In Mexico we eat tacos all day long, but there are different types for each time of the day. For breakfast tacos mostly are with egg and beans,, for lunch the tacos al vapor and tacos de guisados, maybe liver and tripa tacos too, you can find a few taqueros with cabeza during lunch. After dark is when most of taqueros come out. Tacos al vapor or canasta are just amazing, you should try them sometime.
Egg and bean tacos for breakfast?! We haven’t find anything like that around here but that sounds awesome!
Saludos a Greg and Hillary.
Those tacos al pastor look almost as good as guera lol you a lucky dude gringo!
Yum, that looks muy delicioso! I hope I someday can speak Espanol half as good as Greg.
Thank you amigo! Practice makes perfecto!
hello guys just wanna said you two look great and I don't know why but every time I watch your videos always make me hungry cause I can tell you guys really enjoy the food by the way did wuera learn how to cook Mexican food have a wonderfull weekend
Haha-we make ourselves hungry sometimes because we absolutely love trying different sorts of food and talking to different restaurant people! I haven’t cooked recently but I need to try again!
Finally went to El tizoncito, I’ve been telling you to go there for ages. Mmmm que rico! 👍
Thank you for the recommendation! We loved it! Keep the ideas coming!
Really close to el tisoncito there is a restaurant called " el bonito" it really neat and different.
@Kinetic Kennons, have you tried the tlacoyos, masa azul, or the torts cachondas by the metro isabela la catolica??? How about the taco stands near Rio Senna by reforma 222 or the oldest churro restaurant in Mexico in the historic district? (forgot the name it's near madero st.)
Very interesting info' and thanks to La Güera, I didn't quite get the date from the Taco al Pastor guy, sounded like 1896 or 1996, lol....1966! Hmm....from what I remember on vacations with my folks, about 1967 or 1968 the first Tacos al Pastor opened here in Querétaro, over on September 16 Avenue, adjacent to the ol' Alameda walk-in Theater, just a li'l narrow home but always there was a crowd, jampacked, my dad really liked the tacos as did the rest of us but my mom was put off by the waiting in line for service,.....that's copycat queretanos for ya, nowadays in the northern section of Querétaro only there are 3 in short walking distance here in Los Fresnos, 4 within a 30 minute casual walk from our hood. Those totopos with guacamole that La Güera was munchin' on, sure did look GREAT! btw, BEAUTIFUL the closeup of La Güera's cute li'l nose! ;)
Very interesting! That was really clever to put the onions on the bottom of the swirling pork and the pineapple on the top for easy access when making a taco there. WOW! The taco's looked delicious. I wonder what the secret marinade sauce is? They don't hold back on the guacamole which is great!! I love it!!
You are so right-they are not at all stingy with their guacamole here and that’s awesome! And the secret marinade is truly delicious too! So tender and juicy!
I'm really glad you are enjoying Mexico City!! I live in here and I am a International Relations graduate, I can help you with ideas about beautiful places to visit in CDMX as well as historical facts about the city. Have a nice time!
Hey guys, i’m pretty sure he said 1936, not ‘66. Saludos.
I swear Mexico city has the best tacos and I been to alot of taco stands all over Texas and Mexico!!!
Goyo my friend!... I have to tell you about the quality of this video: Lovely warm lighting, but with out sacrificing any beautiful bright color that just complemented the warmth of the light, just stunning my friend, similar to movie quality. I really enjoyed it very much, the music bonded right in as well.
Thank you so much for the support! ❤️😊
I think, you should consider filming as a career, but with the street life of a foreigner country, just what you do, I think you can make it more artistic, and elegant, your own way, that's just what art is to tell you the truth.
if you ever come to Tlaxcala city, you have to try the tacos al pastor or gringa at taqueria la gran avenida. you won't regret it.
Try the Tacos al Pastor at either El Fogoncito or Selene on Calle Leibnitz behind the Camino Real Hotel! That's where we conoisseurs of tacos exquisitos go! It's the place for Taco Tuesday and every day!
Ji Ji Ji...
les quedo chido este video... saludos!!!
Are guys finally gonna try some tejate from oxaca which is better than horchata
and that is why I watch your videos, because of the food.... I love food 😋
Haha not because of our faces?! 😜

ricos tacos mis favoritos al pastor y biste guapa tu abuelita saludos
Man those look delicious!! I love tacos al Pastor !!
One tradicional taco for morning weekends is barbacoa taco. With onion, cilantro and salsa.
Jaime Burciaga. Yessss, so good tacos.
wow longevity runs on her genes . Greetings to grandmas they're lovely and you got her eyes
my mouth is watering I'm dying here I love tacos al pastor forever!!! Arriba Pumas!!
Yall should go to aguascalientes, aguascalientes for the feria de san marcos this coming april and please try tortas con crema witch is only found in my hometown. Thanks
Ahhhhh!!! My favorite place. Well, yes, Turks, Lebanese and other middle eastern folks came and settled in Mexico City and Puebla and brought the spinner and shawarma concept to Mexico. Next time you go to Puebla try the Arab tacos/tacos arabes (with pita bread instead of corn tortillas) a legase of our middle eastern immigrants. ;-) enjoy! Ta-tah!
Dario Diaz I love pita breads, they are very delicious combined with Mexican dishes.👍
You need to go to El huequito and ask for the volcán...it's just great pastor cheese and a lot of flavor!!
The best Al Pastor tacos I have tried are in Jiquilpan Michoacan, a small rural magical town recognized as the only Mexican town to have 2 presidents born there, Lazaro Cardenas and Agustin De Iturbide.
I’m going in February 24 and I’m taking ideas from you guys thanks
That is coming up so quickly! Good luck planning your trip!!
There's a special eventthis Sunday at Arena México, hope you can go
I’m so jealous Greg I wish I could talk to the Mexican people like you.🤯
Guys I just wanted to say what a pleasure having found you yesterday!
We are so glad we found each other!! Thank you so much for stopping us to chat!! Let’s grab tacos or coffee or something soon! Have a great rest of your weekend!
Thanks Greg, unfortunately I spent my weekend in bed due to stomach infection. I hope to recover 100% this week and take you two to tortas in Etiopía.
Well, if you loved it in Vallarta, then you'll adore it in Acapulco, at the Country Club's Restaurant will be my recommendation. They serve the Original Ceviche Recipe (Peruvian).
Picture this: For around 3 centuries (give or take) Acapulco was the Hub harbor of the Manila Galeón also known as The Nao de China. Those vessels back in the day served a maritime trade route that linked the coastal cities in the Americas at the Pacific Ocean with Asia using Manila (in the Philippines) as Asian Harbor.
I melted when I saw your Nannny and Grand nanny ❤️... that pie crust looked Nan quality! 👌🏽 No one can cook better than Nan’s. Thanks for sharing that. I loved it! Abt tacos and time of day: there are certain “trends” so in the morning and early lunch usually you go for tacos de canasta y tacos de guisado. At lunch, some people can eat tacos but in general, it is not usual cause going back to work after eating tacos may not be the best idea (sleepy and smelly haha). So the best time for tacos is at night... and most often is THE best choice after partying (2-3 am). And then the rule changes on weekends: barbacoa and carnitas can be eaten as a late breakfast (especially on hangover sundays) 🤪 But then, like all rules in Mexico, you can overlook them and the best time for a taco is when the tempting smell reaches you and you go for it haha.
2-3 am?!? I don’t think we could stay up that late if we tried!!
Kinetic Kennons lol, really? We need to take you out to party guys. But hey, let’s say a taco is best after drinks... there’s something abt being a bit tipsy and end the night with some tacos. A must have experience... even if it is at 8 pm haha.
Laura Guerra that was so well said and so on the spot! In Juarez our best after party tacos are Buche or Chorizo. But my favorites are Sunday mornings Barbacoa.
Hi guys a mexican here, next time you should also try "las gringas", it´s basically a taco al pastor but with cheese and also the torrilla is changed for a tortilla de arina (instead of tortilla de maíz).
You should come to Michoacan, there are a lot to see and eat. Love your channel.
Thank you! We hope to come soon!
You guys have to go to the arena mexico, lucha libre!!!!! (Cdmx)
yosoy1916 yeah! 👍
We have been once but the security took our cameras at the door so we couldn’t film. But it was AWESOME!
Use your mobile camara for the reactions!! 👍💙
Happy Friday tho!
Tip for Greg: Dip the spoon in the salsa. Put a drop on your palm. Lick it off. If too hot, eat some tortilla. If OK put it on your food.
Guerita tan bonita. que ojos tan chulos. Thank you guys I love your videos.
You really likes mexican food, nice!!!
You should go to El Califa, the pastor and the pollo al pastor are really good.
My favorites!
Just discovered your Chanel. Pretty cool stuff. I was born in DF have lived in Dallas for 20+ Years and went to UNT. Anyway I have many family in Mexico if you guys need suggestions on places to visit. If you visit Puebla let me know I might have a place for you guys to stay for free. Good luck.
Thank you so much!! UNT in the house!! We might have to take you up on that offer one day amigo!!
Note: Ceviche is very popular in Mexico, however it is Not an original Mexican meal, it is from Peru. It came into Mexico thru Acapulco because of the Galeón de Manila's route. Acapulco is where they mix it, cook it and serve it with the original Peruvian recipe.
We haven’t had ceviche here in Mexico City but we loved it in Vallarta!
Yuuummmm yummm with pineappl😅😅😅
You should try, if you havent tryied yet, the traditional dish called Pozole.... its a hot soup of maíz with meat and vegetables... its deliciouss :P
Hey Guys! You should try tacos al pastor from "El Rey del Taco" they are in Coyoacán, in Av. División del Norte, it's a much smaller restaurant, but the pastor its much better than Tizoncito. Greetings! :D
Really?! We wooo have to try that!
Duuuude I literally live around the corner! I’m so upset I didn’t get to meet you!
We waved hello!!!! 👋
Acereros......who????????, hahaha that was funny.
That was an interesting information about where did the taco come from. The important question what difference did you notice more between Mexican Taco vs Texas Taco. What Taco is more delicious?
I remember the first time when I visit USA, I get a burrito and was huge, and very good. I think good food are everywhere.
Hey wero, you starting to look like Brian Bosworth in the stone cold movie. Good eating like always.
