Good chill video! I’ve been loving my new Thunder inverted kingpins 148’s. The bushings did take sometime to “break in” but I’m really liking them. So comfy, sturdy and responsive.
Thanks for watching bro! Yeah I’m curious as to what they did with the new bushings to make them feel that good. Noticeably softer than anything in the past!
Stoked to see you gettin taken care of dude! (product wise i mean lol) bag looks pretty damn cool! might have to get one. and if you can get that Twin board made sign me up! ill take one!
I work at a skateshop and we were told by the NHS rep that the number system on the Mob grip doesn’t mean anything but to me I can feel a difference but maybe it’s just in my mind. I always get the 2 for more grip.
Ha me too. I believe he said it was how they separate the batches so some batches can definitely be grippier than others. I have felt a 4 feel more grippy than a 2 but I just get a 2 for my own peace of mind.
i like standard weight trucks. i do like the indy forged hollow 139s though, and the thunder 148 forged hollow lights are decent too. i probably don't see too much benefit unless you go 8.75" or bigger
@@DanielHigbee-j8c you can definitely wear it without the board on it. I don’t think it’d be great for a CCW though because there’s not really a way to secure it within the bag. When I carry in a bag I always use the Vertx sling bag and then have the Velcro mount from QVO Tactical with a Safariland QLS receiver on it. Then I have the fork on a Tier 1 Concealed Optio. It’s a really great setup!!
@@sonnyrico if I re-drill the deck, I just drill it on the tail side. For these ventures I have used the new holes on both trucks to bring the wheelbase in
I'm a venture guy for my regular board as well, but not sure if I would try the new baseplates because the reason the hole pattern was changed back in the 90s was because people would grind down their hardware from noseslides. Mine would be almost cut it half! The transition from the old style to the new was painful. My hardware was super long for a while because of thick baseplates and risers, it took forever to change a board! Anyway, I think it's a neat idea, but I would likely not try it and just suffer with the longer wheelbase.
@@timmiller2823 I remember that as well. I don’t think it’d be possible with the way these current V8’s are designed. I’m a HEAVY noseslide guy and I barely even touch the plates
i need some 8" venture lows and 8.5" highs, i have some 7.65" lows and 8.25" highs. i do want to try the v8s, or maybe just make some from my old 6-hole plates
Very cool bag, but Dirk Broersen (aka Poempoe) made a board carrying sling bag thing a year or so ago and is still selling it. Not hating, just saying! Also sick re board sponsor--you deserve it! Edit: Ok, just heard the history of the bags! Very cool, similar ideas around the same time from different folk. Awesome.
i've been wanting to make some kind of harness so i can strap my phone to my chest to record POV hands free. i can sew a bit too.
I think you could probably rig up something with one of those quadlock mounts!

The sling was done back in 2015. And it didn't catch on.
The faith throwie hat is sick! I love pan dulce, specifically conchas with coffee in the morning 😂👌

That’s interesting! I can run my hand on the different numbers and feel a difference in grip. Maybe I’m trippin lol

I feel a noticeable difference with flip tricks. Every little bit of weight gets multiplied once you start rotating your board
The ace tool is the only tool anyone needs.
Bag looks cool would it work for a CCW and can the bag be worn with out a skateboard on.

When you move your wheelbase, do you just move the rear truck?

NHS once said the number is which assembly line it was made on, so if there's an issue with a run they can track it down. ,,/shrug
