Cool highlights. The food looked great but a bit pricey for me unless it was a special occasion like you had. I'd go for one of those waffle cones though. Awesome that it originated from there. I love a waffle cone with my favorite custard in it. So good. Have a great day.
Yeah, we couldn't afford to eat out at some of these places on a regular basis. But it is a nice treat on special occasions. Doumar's is very affordable which means waffle cones for everyone! Thanks for watching - and for taking the time to comment!
I don't blame you. Editing this video together made me want to go back to all three of these restaurants! It was all so good. We had a great evening out for our anniversary. Thanks for watching and for your kind comments!
We enjoyed your tour of Norfolk, Jack and Alice. We actually spent a week right across the river in Portsmouth. (had a place with stunning views across) Would take the ferry over! Loved it there. All the restaurants looked wonderful and the Free Mason would be the one we'd most enjoy visiting. But, maybe we'd have three days! Thanks so much for bringing us along. Never knew there was a hot dog bun shortage in WW2. Just googled it and it seems that the buns only we're "invented" (May not be the right word) until 1940. May not have been many yet.
Doumars was my favourite of the 3, I liked hearing the history of the waffle cone. The decor was great and the prices were very reasonable. The Freemason Abbey glass was a very nice touch.
We always love your videos. So glad that you decided to showcase some Norfolk, VA restaurants. We have been to Doumar's before and loved that you featured it in your video. Great place to eat. David loves the limeade there! Of course you had to get an ice cream cone at Doumar's. We really thought the food at the Freemason Abbey Restaurant looked so good and was also reasonably priced. Appreciate all the time and thought you put into your videos. Awesome job!
Oh myyy, the chicken Asiago - yes, please!!! So coincidental, as my friend just moved to Virginia Beach from Arizona. I will share this video with her!! I have yet to visit these areas myself and look forward to doing so!! Great video, as always, Alice & Jack!!!👏🏼👏🏼🥰
The arena looks like a UFO landed. You guys always know where to eat. This a fun place for Mother’s Day. Anything with fire seems really cool. The church with Seafood and steak is my kind of reataurant. I was hoping to catch a reflection of you guys from the reflection of drinks. 😂. Happy Anniversary!
I was at Virginia Beach and area on a family vacation over 10 years age. I have never been to these amazing restaurants. Great views and information. The food looks and sounds delicious. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend
Those piano key stairs are so cool! Beautiful old church! I can’t believe they still have the original ice cream cone maker and use it! I think I want to try the last one!
All three of these restaurants were sooo good. That cocktail flight was definitely a highlight! Thanks for watching - and for taking the time to comment!
Love the second one, they have beautiful eating area with pretty decorations and drinks looks great😍❤️❤️👍 but definitely all the foods looks so delicious. Great to follow your food tour🤗🤗
I'm all about going to obscure and unique restaurants and wow so wild I came across this video as I'll be taking a trip to that area next month! Thanks for sharing this interesting video and information and each of these 3 places sound awesome and with good prices and well worth checking out :-)
We loved all three of these restaurants. I can understand your reaction though. Just editing all the footage together made us hungry too. Thanks for watching and commenting!
When I was there for interview we went to a restaurant that served seafood and steak and shrimps in grits (I never had shrimps in grits before). Oh yeah and a huge chocolate cake for dessert. It was so yummy. And a very sparkly cocktail. After that I was really full and fell in love with the place
Whenever you do these food reviews you make me so hungry! You went to some great places! All the drinks looked so interesting! I love a good Margherita too Alice 😂 that split hot on a bun story was interesting 😅
The scope is disgusting. You should gut the inside, fix it up. Pressure wash the outside, hire someone to landscape the outside and use it for a conventional center.
The third restaurant that you featured would be more of my style reasonable prices and better food I love hotdogs and barbecue and burgers the hell with all that other fancy food you can’t even pronounce

I just ate at Freemason Abbey last week. They never disappoint! Excellent food and wait staff.

Beautiful city ❤❤❤
I have been to Doumars and the Freemason Abby many times, but I have yet to experience Gershwins. Some day.
Never ate in Norfolk. The best restaurant that I remember in the area was the Captain Georges Seafood Buffet. 🐸
Dourmars is the cheapest than the other place yall went to that is so expensive and yall went share french fries
The scope is disgusting. You should gut the inside, fix it up. Pressure wash the outside, hire someone to landscape the outside and use it for a conventional center.
Be careful in Ghent commons 😮, people are stop sign blind and the police don't seem to care😮
Thanks for giving us all a heads up. And thanks for watching!
