On older iPads, it's the round home button, press 3 times to enter guided access, turn off touch in the options so your image doesn't move about.
Thx ❤
Thx
THANK YOU SO MUCH I WAS LIKE “IT DOESNT WORKKKKK” BUT NOW IT WORKS TYSM
When using guided access for the first time. Theres a little options section in the bottom right. make sure touch is off or else youll still be able to move your picture and everything around.
Needed this for finishing a project but not wanting a light box. Thank you!
Been searching for years for a way to do this! Life saver!!!
So glad it helped!
i love when the first video in my search results is a video as useful as yours, totally nailing what i need to know within the first 3ms - thank you!
Such a nice comment, thank you and glad to help!
Incredibly helpful, thank you for the clear and concise instructions!
You're welcome, and thanks for the lovely comment Ethan 😀
@@iPadCalligraphySo what is the purpose of tracing onto paper?? If it isnt going to be saved on your ipad. Is there a way to use my Ipad and trace my images directly onto my ipad and then download them to place on Etsy?? Im sure there is a way to do it but......
That was super helpful tysm
You're so welcome, thanks for watching 😊
For some reason guided access only stops ,e from exiting the app😢 it doesn’t stop me from swiping through
Sameeeee
I figured out how to fix it you have to hit the top button three times to exit but hit options instead of end and then make share you have all the things off
@@Pickl_drawzit doesn't work and ur spelling is wrong
click the top button 3x again and click 'options' on the bottom left area and disable touch.
hope this helps! :)
Ugh thank you so much! I could not figure this out to save my life! ❤
You are so welcome!

@@-._DU0LlNG0_.-1 Hello, sorry you perceived my comment as rude. I was thanking her for watching the video as it means a lot to me. No rudeness intended. 😊
thank you!
Great idea!!!
Thank you! 😊
Hello ma'am I locked my screen and forgot my password please help I'm locked out it's an iPhone 14 ultra i don't know if the phone makes a difference on how to unlock it
I must be doing something wrong because for me, this feature only makes it so that you can’t switch to another app. The touch reactive ability of my iPad does not turn off. Any advice?
Hmm, that is strange. What model iPad do you have?
@@iPadCalligraphy iPad Pro 3rd gen.
Mine did that too. You have to activate guided access then triple click again. At the bottom left of the screen you should see a button that says options. Hit that then turn off motion and touch and that should solve your problem.
@@abbywilliams4610I know your comment was a while ago but I had to say thank you! I was having the same issue and it was making so frustrated. You saved me such a headache!
Thx
Is there a way the iPad can trace a paper drawing by video or photo?
Great tutorial . Exactly what I was looking for.Thank you for mentioning the keyboard locking. 👍👍👍👍👍
does it work for samson??
For some reason when I do this I have to select the area I want to restrict. Then that area hows grey and is not as bright as the rest of the screen.
What model iPad do you have?
@@iPadCalligraphy thanks for the quick reply. It's a 11 inch 2020 ipad pro. Technically it still works as a light table but for some reason the screen is covered with a grey shade when the restrict is applied.
@@iPadCalligraphy my ipad updated last night and seems that it's working the same as your video. Thanks a lot!
That's great to hear! Glad it's working 😀
Whenever I click the button 3 times nothing happens!
Oh no! What iPad are you on?
Okay I need help because I turned on guided access a while ago to trace some stickers, when I wanted to do it again and my guided access is still on it wont froze my screen. Please tell me there something to fix this
Hi! Yes, I've had this happen before and it's really nerve racking to think you're locked out of your iPad! I jumped on a call with Apple Support and explained the situation and they helped me get back in. I can't remember the exact steps I'm sorry as we had to try a couple of things, but I would give them a call. I know it's too late now, but I explain in the video steps to prevent this ua-cam.com/video/PbgmKuJ1Lqw/v-deo.html
Mine didn’t work:((
What iPad is this?
It's the iPad Pro 12.9"
The procedure also works with the earliest generation of iPad (the very old one)
I have a letter code for my iPad 😶
And it is not six letters I have five letters for my code😶
Needed this for finishing a project but not wanting a light box. Thank you!
You're so welcome, glad it helped!
