The Caledonian Sleeper to Fort William 14th to the 15th May 2024.

We board the Caledonian Sleeper at London Euston at platform 1. We travel through the night to Edinburgh where the train splits with our rake going to Fort William. The sleeping quarters (a twin room) one can see the size, not that big considering one has to accommodate luggage in the room as well. This proved a task even though we were small and light with average size bags, storing them to have floor access was a task. these rooms may be okay for the light and nimble to use the top bunk, that was a no for me so, resulted in sitting up with the wife on the lower bed using the cushions for head rest. We pull into Fort William where the Jacobite was waiting to depart. A lucky chance here to film the departure. Continued with the filming where the Sleeper carriages were placed in the sidings for preparations to depart in the evening with the locos departing for the sidings to be fuelled.
