VAN TOUR | WE SELF CONVERTED OUR IVECO DAILY WITH NO EXPERIENCE

- Опубліковано 21 лип 2024
- Welcome to our van tour of our self converted Iveco Daily. When we started this project we had zero DIY skills, but through the power of UA-cam, and a lot of trial and error we eventually learned the skills needed to build our tiny home on wheels. The van was fitted out using lots of parts from IKEA including sink, tap and kitchen worktops. Van life has taken us to places in Europe that we would have never thought of going and made us realise just how easy it is to get out there and see the world.

you don't realize how happy I am to see people who have done this with absolutely zero prior experience!!!!! I've been feeling quite daunted by the prospect of converting a van myself and seeing this makes me feel a lot less anxious.
Great job, guys!! Love it. Enjoy your travels.
Very well Congratulation an good travel. I like

So inspiring! Thanks for making this video
Hey guys, Well done. You should be very proud of yourselves. Safe travels.
Very well done
great job x if your able to afford such an adventure at a young age it will give you so many great memories and years of adventure as most only get to that stage when much older in life so get out and and have a safe and enjoyable journey
Just come across your channel .. love your van .. I’m quite a diy type of person .. I would struggle to do such a good job .. the more channels I come across these van life channels the more I want to get on with it and travel .. will def be catching up with your other vids .. thanks

Best is yet to come 100%
Great build I like the open space and the table functions. Thanks for sharing the journey
Loving it! You've done a great job with that cost space
Thank you! 😁
I like a lot your van, well done
Thank you so much, we really appreciate it 😁
Well done kids 👍👍
Love it ! ❤️ glad I found your channel keep it up guys the van looks great
IT's Beautiful!
Thank you 😊
That's a nice build ;-)
It’s perfect!
Love the cooker idea, it aids the uncluttered look and leaves more workspace for the 95% of the time your not using the stove. You sold it to me, I'm following your lead on that one. Don't think I could go without a bathroom though. Night wees is a must for me and tbh I can use public toilets for peeing but I can't sit down on them, too yucky, I like my personal shower as well, my little temple of clean, no sharing one that strangers have used, that's just me. Great van, great inspiration.
Put toilet roll on the toilet seat, viola
Beautiful van! We used a lot of things from IKEA too. As we were watching, we kept saying to each other “we have that”. Subscribing now and will check out your other videos! ☺️
Nicely done! 👍✌
Thanks ✌️
Beautiful van.
GREAT VAN...
For not having done anything like this before, you have done an outstanding job!
Dude, u earned a sub, like and a FAN ♥ and god bless u both :D
Come to the Netherlands? Enjoy your europe tour and you're Van
We did go to Amsterdam for a few days early in our trip. Where else would you recommend in the Netherlands?
Very charming,
Van looks lovely. Please fill in the black above the double socket. My OCD is of the rail here. 😁😁
This has a lot of space!
That was the one thing we really wanted from the build. We love how open it feels 😁
This is so so good, I just wish you have shower and toilet system too
Wow amaxing
great van guys! regards from argentina
Thank you so much! 😁
Nice build, one day you'll wish you'd rounded the sink countertop corners... one day... ;)
Really spacious. Decision not to add more cupboards on the other side above the benches I think was a good one. But if you decide you need more storage space, you have the option.
....I asked too soon....glad U have the camping toilet...like auto ins..
U hope not 2 use it, but R mighty glad U have it if U do 😉
We are just coming up to 6 months of traveling full time and we haven't used it once. It's definitely a piece of mind knowing we have it though!
Excellent work and video. Today, you young people are so much more adventurous than my generation was, and it should be applauded. Think of the stories you tell now and into the future with your children. I like the details and efficiencies of your place. However, I wondered if you or anyone else has a comment on a full-time bed in place instead of having to prepare one? In the long term, even though creating a bed each night is a pain, the alternative of permanently taking up so much space also has disadvantages. Comment on that please.
Great team work!!!!!
You said that you had your table from Ikea, was it just the top out the whole peaces?
Excellent work - I'm inspired! May I ask what the total cost was, including the van? And do you need special insurance? Happy travels 🚐
New subscriber lets c what you got.. simple living high thinking southafrica. .
real nice interior!
could you please tell me if you had any problems with MOT?
very interesting video, interior design as I wish to have. just like me, didn't want the toilet inside.
Do you have a heater in the van and if you do which one? I love your Van
Nice job! How do you like the iveco? I'm considering buying the same!
Safty unlevel ground kIds If i was a bllion air i would live to build this on ..... 12k Budget Well done and the guitar Fab
Great video
As the side door didn't work etc
You might want to invest in a pack of cable ties lol because having driven an iveco with temperamental back doors Eg they open when they like even when closed and locked whilst driving
When the back doors do open when driving Which no doubt they will at some point etc at least you'll be able to take the panel of both back doors to use cable ties or a ratchet strap to keep back doors closed
Thank me later lol
That sounds like a terrifying experience, having the doors open while you drive. Thanks for the heads up!
+Our Daily Vanlife
The long wheel base iveco can carry 4 x those blue pallets but for it to do that and stay under weight it being longer and using more metal it is not as heavy as a Mercedes sprinter or vw crafter etc and you can tell that when driving the others and then an iveco etc and noticeably when opening the doors Eg a Mercedes or vw has a solid clunk when the door is closed which you don't get when you close iveco doors and you'll usually notice the rear doors problem on iveco if it has a dent in back doors Etc lol
But on the plus side they are extremely roomy and spacious inside ideal for taller people etc
Just no fun when driving empty in the wind lol
Hi nice job, is it the long wheel base?
Great van tour guys!
Could you share a link to the push clips please. Very interested!
Is your van insured as a motorhome? If so, did the DVLA approve of the Logun table? We‘d love the same one, but aren‘t sure they‘ll like that...
All the best and perhaps we‘ll meet you on the road at some point. xx
Thank you so much. We don't have a lot no to the push clips but I know we got them from Amazon. Our van is changed to a motor caravan with the DVLA and they had no issues with our table. As long as it is 'permanently attached' I don't think you need to worry.
Amazing van! How much did it cost?
Don't mean to sound creepy but what kind of bird is at 3:05 & yet again @ 5:00-5:03 unless it's a cell phone ring? It sounds beautiful
Great job guys! Im thinking of buying and converting a van myself, also with no previous experience! Did you guys buy your own power tools or did borrow them from somewhere? I want to try save money on not buying tools!
We were really lucky that we knew someone who had almost every tool we needed to do the job. It definitely helps having someone to help you out or somewhere to borrow them from.
Your Van Your Way... Love It!🚐👏🎅👍
What parts did you buy from ikea for the water supply. And how does the pump work? Do you have any products you can link to?
Beautiful !
Please .. put your monoxide detector lower..:)
👋🏼
Yes please, carbon oxide detector as low to the ground as is possible. If it is that high up you cannot go out the van anymore...
Mirjam Oosterbaan why is this?
Jessica Holden this has to on breathing height when you are in your bed. This is the maximum height for for a monoxide detector. And since they are in a van it can be a combined detector, because it is a small space. But in a house mostly it is advised to take two different detectors. Smoke detector has to be on the ceiling and the monoxide detector on the breathing height (sitting height or the height when you lay in your bed)
Jessica Holden because carbonmonoxide has a lower density then air and will sink to the ground. The moment the detector close to the ceiling will notice it, the gas will already be all over the van.
Julius Klose exactly that’s why they advise to put this on a “sitting” or “sleeping” position.. ;)
Very nice, but....no TOILET 4 emergencies???
01:54 TURKEY 👏👏👏👍
Hi was two hub unfixed cooker ok with DVLA for the conversion from a panel Van to a campervan conversion approved when providing photos proof of changes made ? Few other things they ask to see are fitted table one window water storage tank ,cupboards ect
I was wondering about the hob too. I would prefer a portable but DVLA want a fixed one.
@@DeeDee-mo6tn the same portable type twin burner screwed down / on quick lock sliding maybe options ,but would prefer to hear from some who's had their van passed as this couple are from the uk thought was best to ask them .the other option is wire the van with 240v electric 3 fused rcd mini comsumer unit with 3 double socket outlet with usb built in to run a induction hub top water pump and alternative lighting just to meet the requirements of DVLA but a double induction hub is load of money ,a microwave is also accepted too I belive ,time I think it is just go over to their web site and see what the ransomed list is ill get back to you thanks
I can tell your girlfriend was in charge of the decorating👍🏽
Interior decorating is definitely her forte!
Nice build.
• A simple wheel cover on your spare wheel would dress up the back of the van inexpensively.
• You lower pantry cabinet - add a shelf mid-way to get more useable storage space.
• I wonder if you added a second Lagun mount opposite, and another matching table if you could: 1) have his/hers tables and 2) need only the two tables to make up your bed (rather than the 3 pieces you need now).
I hardly find Iveco Daily conversions. What are their downsides for van life?
Where did you find that table support set up?
We got it from a company called Marinetech
Which iveco daily is this? L2h2?
very cute. just think fridge is way too small
Love the build, and esp love that you're vegan!
Awesome job!
Curious, about how much did you put into your conversion?
Every including the purchase of the vehicle, all the wood, tools, parts, fixtures etc, road tax, and first year of insurance (as a new driver) came to around £9500.
Oopz....never mind....asked too soon...😉
Table name please?
Hey mom, the 80s called, they want their high waisted nightmare jeans back.
.
Beautiful build but no way I'm using toilets with millions and squatting during diarrhea and menstrual cycles outside. I want to drink as much water as I want without peeing in the rain and snow. BE REALISTIC AND PRACTICAL people, you're going to need to go and sometime it's not pretty...😱
We are really glad you like the build, thank you. We have just completed a six month trip around Europe and haven't once had an issue with finding toilets to use. We do also have an emergency travel toilet in the van (never used it) just incase we weren't able to find something. We didn't think it would be as easy as it was 😀
That seems like a lot of useless added weight, I wonder how does it drive.
Wow ! Another of the 10 million hipsters living in a van. Reasonably cute couple with a bunch of ink and sort of a beard. I'll take a chance here and guess you're vegans ?
Excellent job
