For people in Q3, it says decreases to 8% that means the interest rate in 3rd year was 8%, if it says decrease by 8% then use minus sign, also it is basically applicable for population problems not for CI.
Decrease means it has reduced from 12 to 8 years , you need not take minus sign

@@ameysutar6233 that's only for population based sums man , but for interest based sums its always + sign ( only the rate value is changed i.e increased or decreased)
In question 9, find out the the population for the third year and divided it by 1/4 to get the answer. (Works here because they’ve asked the difference, if you were to find out the growth based solely on the third year you would do the following: P3 + 25% of P3, so the difference will be 25% or 1/4 of P3)

Its like India batting run rate falling from 12 runs per over to 8 runs per over... Scoring rate reduces, but team runs are still increasing every over.. The runs are not reducing.. The team score is not falling from say 250 in the 40th over to 210 in 45th over.... Reduction will only happen if the sum deals with depreciation of value of a property or falling population of the town.. So negative sign will only come in these kind of sums where the overall value is reducing

The ansr for the 2nd question is 13669.50. how 10/12 is multiplied with R ? It's 5000*(1+R/100)^3 * (1+R/100)^10/12
13699.50 is the amount after compounded ,so the compound interest is the compounded amount minus the given amount ,answer is 8669.5.
And may be the way he did is correct ,for such type of problems involving mixed fractions (3 (10/12))

Sir 13 th problems decreasing 8% in a formula will be nagative correct or not
At the beginning of the video he explained that when past population is need to be calculated only there will be minus sign instead of plus sign in the same formula but in q8 he divided p by(1+- R/100)^n. Why??? Can anyone explain please?
